   May Day is synonymous with International Workers’ Day…

   International Workers’ Day (a name used interchangeably with May Day) is a celebration of the social and economic achievements of the international labor movement. May Day commonly sees organized street demonstrations and street marches by millions of working people and their labour unions throughout most of the countries of the world — though, as noted below, rarely in the United States and Canada.

   International Workers’ Day is the commemoration of the Haymarket Massacre in Chicago in 1886, when Chicago police fired on workers during a general strike for the eight hour day, killing a dozen demonstrators. In 1889, the first congress of the Second International, meeting in Paris for the centennial of the French Revolution and the Exposition Universelle, following a proposal by Raymond Lavigne, called for international demonstrations on the 1890 anniversary of the Chicago protests. These were so successful that May Day was formally recognized as an annual event at the International’s second congress in 1891. The May Day Riots of 1894 and May Day Riots of 1919 occurred subsequently. In 1904, the International Socialist Conference meeting in Amsterdam called on “all Social Democratic Party organizations and trade unions of all countries to demonstrate energetically on May First for the legal establishment of the 8-hour day, for the class demands of the proletariat, and for universal peace.” As the most effective way of demonstrating was by striking, the congress made it “mandatory upon the proletarian organizations of all countries to stop work on May 1, wherever it is possible without injury to the workers.”

   ‘(1) was physically present in the United States for a continuous period of not less than 5 years immediately preceding the date on which this provision was enacted and has maintained continuous physical presence since then;

   ‘(c) Admissible as Immigrant-

   ‘(1) IN GENERAL- The alien shall establish that the alien is admissible to the United States as immigrant, except as otherwise provided in paragraph (2).
   ‘(2) EXCEPTIONS- The provisions of paragraphs (5), (6)(A), (6)(B), (6)(C), (6)(F), (6)(G), (7)(A), (9)(B), and (9)(C)(i)(I) of section 212(a) shall not apply in the determination of an alien’s admissibility under this section.

   212a6A is illegal entry. 6B, C and so on are fraudulent documents and false claiming of US citizenship.

   Basically if they hide out for 5 years, the secretary can adjust illegal aliens to legal residents.

   Backdoor amnesty.

   There’s more fun stuff in the bill, too, like adjustments of what crimes will keep someone out of the country.

   More HR 264:

   Section 622 removes mandatory detention for expedited removals. Rather than the illegal alien going to jail, many classes of aliens (those with family, etc. – plus a catch all of “(G) Other groups designated in regulations promulgated by the Secretary.”

   What that means in practice is that when someone is given an expedited removal – a deportation – instead of being held in jail until their final hearing by a judge, they’re given “walking papers”. This is what used to happen for non-Mexican illegal aliens. They’d be given their papers and be told to show up at court to be determined ineligible and deported.

   Instead, they took the walking papers and took off. Section 622 makes it so they can all do that!

   And all they have to do is hide out for 5 years and they can be adjusted to residents or citizens.

    I won’t hire a contractor who hires illegal day laborers. The contractors I’ve spoken to were pissed when i told them why I wasn’t using them. If I can’t find anyone who doesn’t hire illegals, that’s fine. I’ll either not get the work done, or do it myself.

    If as many Americans that objected to the last Amnesty crap sandwich would do the same, you’d see some progress on cleaning this mess up.

Didn’t she have to raise her hand and take an oath to defend and protect the Constitution of the U.S.A.? I mean against all enemies foreign and domestic? Surely subversion of the Constitution aiding and abetting people breaking our laws is grounds?

    be careful what you say with that one…look at the jerks who have managed numerous companies needing bailouts…we need to instill some honest ethics into requirements for anybody running a business.
