[...] Think about the persuasions that had to occur to get a man of his success to take on a failing business for only $1.00 per year and then have those very same people threaten him with imprisonment if he didn’t give up the names of the very employee’s that the Stimulus Bill protects. It almost seems like those Reps. just want to wax eloquent for American History. Take a look at this exchange. [...]

This debacle is all on the dems. Where are the Republicans in this dog fight? Why aren't they out there, everywhere, defending the rule of law? I am disgusted with the ENTIRE LOT OF THEM. They will NEVER ALLOW term limits--the vast majority of both parties are nothing but felons and have lost all of my respect. Well, re-elections come around - NO INCUMBENTS.

After coming out of retirement at the request of the government, to help with the AIG mess, then doing it for $1 a year, only to have these criminal government morons insult him....if that had been me? I would have taken a "now worthless dollar" out of my pocket, thrown it in their faces and told them to "stuff it where the sun don't shine"!

This is NOT about AIG bonuses! That's "chicken feed" compared to the big $$ spending in the omnibus bill!
What it's going to be about, is the nefarious actions of those on the Hill. We're beginning to get the real picture of the closet politics by Congress and they're getting nervous. People are digging into their covert actions and following them with video cameras, catching in real time the real story. We are no longer buying it. We're being shown who, and what they really are. Shine the light and the roaches scurry! What fun!

Edward Liddy could have told Congress and Treasury to "take this job and shove it". I would have cheered.

Every anti-business, anti-capital accumulation, anti-individual rights the Eurotrash and Canadians have tried and failed is coming at us big time.

Rule by men, not law--an excellent formula for Fascism-with or without the Happy Face. Remember this my Liberal friends: the tyrants always cull their own first-from Alexander the Great to Caesar, Old Henry the VIII to Stalin to Pol Pot their allies are the first. William Ayres is on call.

America-you will be missed.

The circus in DC by the members of the House Financial Service Subcommittee was one of the most shameless, embarrassing moments on Capitol Hill that I have ever witnessed. If it were not so frightening, it would be hilariously funny.

There wasn't a person with any integrity to be seen. Barney Frank was a 'shameless' hypocrit. The rest were no better.

To demonize all of those at AIG who received a bonus, without knowing who they are, or what 'wrong' they committed is beyond the pale. The contracts that AIG signed to these people was no secret to anyone, including Congress and the White House. There was agreement to this in the "Stimulus package" that no one read.

Schumer gets up in Congress and threatens to write a tax law to punish American citizens who have broken absolutely no laws. Since when does a Senator have the right to use tax law to punish individuals that 'offend him'. He's an offense to this country and to the liberties that our Constitution guarantees. I believe anyone in Congress that endorses using legislation targeted at individuals is guilty of abuse of power and should be impeached.

It is incredible that a body such as Congress with so many damn lawyers doesn't have anyone who actually understands the Constitution.

What a sham. It's time we took back our country and threw these people out. Term limits is beginning to look pretty good these days.

Is it legal to write a law demanding that Congress return the American public it's money??? Maybe a lawsuit?

I've never been more ashamed of our government.

The dems have formed a circular firing squad and I am waiting for the first one to go down. Popcorn is ready.

Is the Bank Queen going to have Freddie and Fanny exc's give their bonus back?

One more Mr. Bone if I may.
We blindly contributed money to the Democrat Party along with the rest of the street.
I don't know for sure but wasn't the financial industry right behind trial lawers in Democrat contributions? Kinda hope I'm wrong, but I think they were.
