Recall that when the porkulus bill was in danger, President Obama hosted a revival meeting in Florida and held a rally in Indiana.
Now, in the face of the AIG debacle — compounded by bipartisan revolts over his VA plan to bill private insurers for injured troops’ care, increasing dissent over Card Check, and mounting Democrat doubts over his $410 billion spending bill — Obama is flying to Hollywood to hold hands and yuk it up with Jay Leno on Thursday.
What’s next? A pity party with the women of The View? A return trip to Ellen DeGeneres for Dance Party II?
Way to go, Barry: Boogie while the Beltway burns.

Be reasonable, Michelle. After all, Barry gets bored just hanging around the White House, and he can’t be expected to host a shindig there every night. After the “shocking” news of the AIG bonuses being sprung on him so “unexpectedly”, a night of madcap reparte´ with Jay will help ease his mind. Don’t you remember that he’s “tired”? He’s been inheriting disasters left and right since Day One.

I would love to see a photoshop of obummer as Nero, fiddling while America burns. Only slightly more shallow than a pond, oblahma is turning out to be the epitome of a liberal…gut defense and those who served, out of control spending, out of control taxation, and total apathy towards anything else. Michelle, you’ve hit the nail on the proverbial head about Obama going back into “campaign mode.” I was just telling someone this a.m. that he’ll get cheers from the audience, the very fact of his appearance will get those clips of cheering throngs played over and over on the late night news and early morning shows, and we’ll be reminded what a glowing personality he is to excite crowds so. Enough!

I think that this post is particularly insightful. Any time Obama runs into trouble, he goes on the road to a major venue. It started (maybe) about a year ago with the Wright clips and the race speech, and he goes back to the formula over and over again.
On analogy to that saying, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going,” I’d say that for Obama, “When the going gets tough, Obama goes campaigning.”

Jamie, ESPN2 did a full segment on Mike and Mike in the morning this morning about zero picking his teams and were amazed at how informed he was about all the teams. I guess instead of focusing on the economy, the WOT or any of the other problems, zero has been watching basketball when not partying.
ESPN is so in the tank for this guy, it would not surprise me if the winner of their interoffice pool gets to be the one to drop to their knees and see whether or not zero had asparagus the night before.
Actually, Mr. Clinton played on the Arsenio Hall show, and I am almost positive that was before Mr. Clinton was elected.
Also, Mr. Clinton’s sax playing is mocked in the intro to the cartoon show “The Animaniacs.”
