Obama’s worse joke — and insult to American taxpayers’ intelligence
Yep, Barack Obama’s Special Olympics remark on Jay Leno was thoughtless.
But he made an even worse joke — intentionally insulting every American taxpayer’s intelligence — when he seriously asserted on the late-night talk show that Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner was doing an “outstanding job.”

President Barack Obama says his embattled treasury chief, Timothy Geithner, is doing an “outstanding job.”
In a taped appearance on “The Tonight Show”, he told host Jay Leno that Geithner is a smart guy who’s been handed an incredibly full plate. But he’s handling it all with grace and good humor. Listing the recession, the banking crisis and the need to coordinate with other countries, Obama acknowledged Geithner’s “on the hot seat”. But he says too many in Washington are trying to figure out who to blame for things — when they should be focused on fixing them.
Obama claimed to take personal responsibility…but not until he whinged a bit about inheriting his economic headaches from the Bush administration.
The “outstanding” Geithner followed his boss’s footsteps by making an empty show of taking “full responsibility” tonight for the bonus botch…while bearing no consequences for his latest misjudgment:
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner confirmed Thursday that the department did talk to Sen. Chris Dodd about a clause he put forth in the stimulus legislation that would have strictly limited executive bonuses. Timothy Geithner says the Treasury was worried about legal challenges to limiting contractual bonuses.
A loophole in the bill allowed bailed-out insurance giant American International Group to keep its bonuses.
The Treasury Department was concerned that legislation that would restrict contractual bonuses would not hold up to legal challenges, Geithner said in an interview with CNN’s Ali Velshi.
“We expressed concern about this specific version. We wanted to make sure it was strong enough to survive legal challenge,” Geithner said.

Geithner said he learned the full scale of the bonus problems on March 10.
“It’s my responsibility; I was in a position where I didn’t know about those sooner. I take full responsibility for that,” he said.

He is more and more showing himself to be an ignorant yet malicious fool. And he is filling his administration with like-minded people of low character and socialist ideals.
I thought we’d reached the bottom when Clinton was elected the second time. But we’ve reached a new low, our first affirmative-action President. I should have known if a majority of the voting American public could be fooled twice by the Clintons, they could also be taken in by the empty suit that is Obama.
I despair for my country but I don’t intend to go down without a fight.
Along with Roe v. Wade, Kelo v. New London has got to be one of the most atrocious decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court in recent years…

Longbow, I caution anyone to think that Obama is ignorant. Save for the few, like Barbara Boxer who truly is an idiot, the majority of our elected officials are extremely intelligent. Instead, they are masters of deceit and manipulation.
Obama, Kerry, Biden, and people like this are not ignorant, they are instead extremely well versed in the way the public operates and thinks.
The liberals have mastered the art of playing on the emotions of the American people, working in unison with an allied media, to do one thing, but say exactly what the people want to hear.
Currently, I do not believe one thing is occurring that is not exactly what Obama has planned. Things in this country could not look any better for the liberals right now and thus, could not look any worse for us. The destruction of the dollar, the sinking of the stock market, the dismantling of everyone’s 401k’s, the massive loss of jobs, these are all things that will drive more and more people to the open arms of a socialist government.
I am right there with you and I certainly “despair for my country” as well, but we have to approach this with the understanding that everything being done is intentional and planned, especially with Obama. He is definitely no idiot.
Obama may be “smart” and even “intelligent” by some definitions of those words. But he is ignorant of many things because of his inexperience and lack of knowledge – he is ignorant of basic economic principles, he is ignorant of the military, and on and on. The man has never held a real job, no wonder he does not know and understand so many things about the real world!
Yes, I think he’s a dedicated socialist. I hope his inexperience will keep him from attaining his goals or at least slow him down. And maybe, just maybe, enough of the American people will wake up and see him for what he is.

President Obama is correct, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner is doing an outstanding job, as it appears that the President’s agenda is to destroy America as we know it and the Treasury Secretary is doing his part to make that happen. Kudos to all great job.
I have not seen or herd anything anywhere that would make her think that people will be coming after blacks or anyone else for that matter, due to the destruction Der Fuhrer is and will cause. I guess I can understand why she might be paranoid about it, but as far as I know, no one is blaming the black community for what he is doing.
Everyone knew that blacks would be voting for him, regardless of what and who he was. He was a mostly black guy with a (D) after his name, and that is all it took. We also all knew that the rank and file members of the community would be incredibly racist when it came to anything he said or did…the whole “stickin it to the man” thing as well. I have a friend who has been saying basically the same thing…but then so have my white Liberals friends as well. There have been the standard, “There’s a brother in the White House now…” rhetoric as well, but anyone can see it for what it is. Heck…if you watch any comedian on Comedy Central you will be inundated with that kind of junk.
What I will say about it though, is that after all the destruction he is going to do, there will be a large segment of the population that will find it difficult NOT to relate race to it and it will make any other black person have a difficult time getting elected President in the future based on all that rhetoric about “Sticking it to the man” and “It’s payback time” etc.
But violence based on any of this? Is she honestly thinking there is going to be some sort of race war just because he happened to be a black Democrat screwing up the country? Highly unlikely. I would try to make her understand that there is no under current of hatred and loathing of the black community to begin with, which is something that would need to be in place for that to even be possible. No one is running around declaring anything about his race other than the Liberals, so I would tell her to relax and to work on her family to see that voting for a much better qualified individual based on what their qualifications are is NOT being a “race traitor” and that the beliefs they hold are no different than the beliefs they think others hold or that they accuse whites of having. Racism is not a whites only issue.
And I say what I said about a segment of the population attributing things to his race only because there is such a large population out there that has made such a large issue about him being black and how much better things will be now that there is a person of color in the White House to begin with.
If that is what would be causing the good, then it stands to reason that it would also be held responsible amongst the same people for the bad.
Me…his race has nothing to do with the fact he is a Socialistic/Marxist moron that is doing what others have been training him to do for years. If the Liberals didn’t keep bringing it up, no one would think about it at all.
Isn’t this up there with “heck of a job Brownie?”

No one that I know thinks anything of Obama’s race. He’s an American of mixed heritage and race. The problem is that he has spent almost no time running anything except campaigns. His ideas are dreams (as in “Dreams Of My Father”) and he thinks talking can solve anything. His biggest problems are his lack of real qualifications for this particular job. I believe there may be a few racists out there hating his skin but most of us just hate that he is failing us.

It was an emotionally charged call (as you might well imagine…).
She’s in CA, while my brothers away, and the targeting of Mormons *really* shook her up.
I also suspect she’s talked to her family in Bronx & Brooklyn. She’s agast at the attitude her “getto” relatives have. She tried to reason with them, but the “race traitor” card was flung in her face. She’s also told me that for most city blacks she’s known, and many of the others, the non-racist veneer is quite thin.
[aside:] she thinks that, if you write into law benefits for race, whatever the reason, you’ll breed racism.
With this background in mind, as far as I can tell she based her feelings on the following projections:
OB will fold the NewPanthers & similar groups into his Civil force. Those people are black klann. Its too great an opprotunity not to, and they’ll be the leaders & shapers of the new force. Add reparations, (which she says OB’s emissaries in the community have promised *will be* done) and if that is stopped, the black community will riot. She thinks that will be the final straw. And this because no one has/will strongly oppose OB b/c of his skintone, and the solid 90+% “black vote” or him.
After everything else, incl. the coming economic collapse, complete destruction of Liberty, the “stealth” reparations already happening, the 5-15%GDP OB has promised blacks he’s going to send to Africa, the other things his emissaries have promised, which we’ve never heard about… She didn’t go into it, but when I asked about it her comment was”Do you think that woman saying Pres. Lamech would pay her all bills came from thin air? This is considered part of the repayment!”.
There’s more of that type of thing, I hope this sheds some light on her thinking. I’d sum it up by saying that it was
