Snippy Time with Robert Gibbs

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 23, 2009 03:32 PM

Just finished watching the daily White House press briefing with Robert Gibbs. Alas, the media drool buckets aren’t as full as they once were.

Gibbs pouted that he was “all Russia’ed out” after fielding several questions on the subject.

He boasted that “a million doors were knocked on” by the Obama-bots attempting to manufacture grass-roots support for the Obama budget.

And, most notably, he managed to irk one of the Obamedia’s biggest cheerleaders, journalist April Ryan, who asked a few questions about America’s reliance on foreign governments buying up our debt and whether there would be any “news” coming out of tomorrow’s presidential press conference.

When Gibbs tried to snark his way out of one of her questions, Ryan retorted: “Stop being flip!”

When he chuckled through her follow ups, she complained: “I’m serious.”

Too bad they weren’t more serious before Obama took office.

I think GLIBS should be asked about an interesting STAT: $116,000.00 per family of four is now the cost of the National Debt. Oh, I should say Tax payers also. I do believe that number is rising.

No they were too busy reporting on a “pop culture rock star” and “feelings” were more important than facts and the news or journalism,…. oops…. wait isn’t journalism their job?

I think they should change it from the the White House Daily Briefing, to the White House Daily Whine, cause everytime I hear Gibbs he sounds like he is whining.

I actually wish they used Andrew Dice Clay for the press.
But also because I heard him tell off Babs Striesand one time that had me on the floor.

My wife is what is called (in a mixture of envy & awe) a “Molly Mormon” inside the LDS Culture. Indeed, after I’d stopped attending Church and had been inactive for about a decade, it was a chance meeting with her that brought me back to the Church.

Why am I telling you this? My wife’s sense of propriety is highly keen in religious matters…

When I read her your joke, she laughed so long and hard she couldn’t get her breath & she wet herself.

    Thanks! And well done!!

And on her behalf & at her direction I write: Thank you! Great joke, well done!!

    OT & aside:
Am I the only guy who has wondered *why* loss of bladder control during laughter is unique to women?

Listening to women talk (they’re quite frank about it…) among themselves, (it seems) its happened to every woman at one point or another. Do women simply feel laughter/humor more strongly than men?

I know certain other emotions run more strongly in women than men, and the reverse, too. But while I can see the reasons for the difference in the strength of the other emotions, I always thought laughter/humor would be similar between the sexes. What purpose would it serve to have the difference?

    Women, any insight into this?

Yes; women’s urethras are much shorter than mens.

Which is why women are always lined up at the loo–they cannot hold it as long as men. And some men can hold it a loonnng time…

Also, women can lose the strength of the muscles in that area through childbirth, age etc.

Worst Press Secretary ever, worst President since Carter. It’s amazing to me that the skinny butt community organizing clown fearing teleprompter reading son of a gun would choose such a snarky weasel as a press secretary, or not.
