Not really. Based on the nature and scope of charges against him, coupled with the physcal means available to him and the advantage of returning to Israel, Rubashkin could be the poster child for Flight Risk Magazine.

It is very hard for me to cut any slack to a man who headed a company that had almost 400 employees who, with the active assistance of his managers committed Social Security fraud and identity theft as well as over 9,300 alleged child labor violations.

He was in charge of a substantial criminal conspiracy and enterprise. The conditions of his bail are appropriate.

I know, I know. With apologies. If I could convince the docs to increase the meds to a high enough level and let me out of this place, I could maybe run for Congress.
