Y'all, I think people ARE starting to pay attention. Now, instead of just ranting about these scumbags, we need to take action. The Tea Parties are a great start but they won't get any coverage by Pravda (I mean the MSM) until they get really huge. I hope people understand that the demonstrations have to continue and grow to the point that they can't ignore it any more. By July 4th, it would be great if every city participating would take the demonstrations to Washington. Imagine, 5 million pissed off middle-class legal U.S. citizens. I don't think anyone could ignore that.

Team Obama: The HHS nominee and tax-plagued Sebelius ($8,000 short) was the sequel to the mega-tax-plagued Tom Daschle ($140,000 short), who followed disclosures about Treasury Sec. Timothy Geithner ($48,000 short), who was joined by Nancy Kelleher (who knows?), and Labor Sec. Hilda Solis ($6,400 short). Gee wiz, do they all use the same Tax Preparer? Gosh, with the complexity of their returns it is so easy to overlook these shortfalls. What a load, they got caught cheating on their taxes and are all given a pass.

Our history books rate Grant and Harding as having the most corrupt administrations. Well, hang on, historians, we’ve got a new contender for that “record”. By 2012, I think this new competition will make the “Teapot Dome” scandal look pretty tame. They will also have to reclassify the “Great Depression” as another recession, compared to what’s going to happen once the “bill” needs paying.</blockquote>

Surely you did not get those statistics from government run <strike>educational</strike> indoctrinational institutions. Where did you get this propaganda from? How dare you try to pollute the minds of the great people of this nation with fact and reality. You will be properly educated when the gulags ... err ... the educational camps are established!

I honestly have to believe in my heart that America really is doomed as a complacent congress and a willing and uneducated people blindly follow these people down the path to destruction. Are there enough of us left to take the country back? Can we still do it in the courts before they are completely corrupted? Will we all just quit our jobs and go on the welfare roles rather than continuing to be productive members of society? Can we all quit paying our taxes like our illustrious leaders do?

The Great Experiment has ended it seems.

<blockquote>Just a question - how do you make an unintentional error with respect to charitable contributions?

</blockquote>

You may not have gotten proper documentation for your donation, you may have not properly valued the value of tangible goods donated, you may not have accounted for receiving something of value from the charity which would decrease the amount of the deduction...

$7,000 over 3 years with what sounds like a relatively complicated return is not unimaginable. I would guess that anyone in a similar situation whose return was being hyper-scrutinized could easily find themselves in the same situation.
