I live in Cali. I celebrated by turning on all my lights. I suspect several others did too. LA didn’t go dark either, but I’m sure we will have our share of brown outs once cap & trade leaks through Congress. Then all Californians can thank Boxer for her great concern for our grandkids.

I am torn between my options. If I leave the cow alone he will continue to generate greenhouse gasses and rack up carbon credits.

But, if I cook the cow I will have to burn a lot of charcoal to generate enough carbon credits to make up the difference.

This carbon credit thing is confusing…

I had forgotten about Earth Hour Saturday night, but I suppose I unwittingly participated – a thunderstorm knocked out the power to my entire apartment complex for about two hours.

And, boy, did I get bored. One can only play so many games of Windows Solitaire. Not too mention it was too dark to read. So I went to bed.

Lessons learned: 1) I really need to invest in a couple flashlights (nothing like trying to navigate through the apartment in the dark) and 2) Electricity for the win.

Don’t bring Him into this. He damn sure would not have banned DDT and killed 800 million people – mostly children.

Amen to that soap, all because some wacko enviro was worried about some birds egg shells were supposedly being thinned by DDT. Oh yeah, the wacko enviro is IMHO responsible the dieing of more people in the history of the world, none other than Rachel Carson. It’s been determined DDT has no harmful effects on humans or birds egg shells for that matter. Now can you guess where they still have a prohibition against using DDT, Africa, the dark continent.

I agree, and among those gifts He gave us was uranium, hydrogen, oil, natural gas, carbon, carbon dioxide, and the intelligence to be able to use them wisely.

Why do you hate those things?
