Did Canadacare kill Natasha Richardson?

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 27, 2009 02:01 PM

Dr. Cory Franklin had a provocative piece in the New York Post yesterday exploring whether Canada’s government-run health care system contributed to the tragic skiing death of Natasha Richardson. He writes:
Richardson died of an epidural hematoma — a bleeding artery between the skull and brain that compresses and ultimately causes fatal brain damage via pressure [...]

It’s baaaack: The DREAM Act returns

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 27, 2009 11:36 AM

The shamnesty crowd is ready to roll again. The illegal alien college tuition discount bill known as the “DREAM Act” has been reintroduced — with bipartisan support, as usual:
Congressmen Howard Berman (D-CA) and Lincoln Diaz-Balart (R-FL), announced the reintroduction today of the DREAM Act in the U.S. House of Representatives. This legislation will restore the [...]

The coming G20 riots & the spread of mob rule

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 27, 2009 04:32 AM

My syndicated column today continues the theme I blogged about two days ago in the “Rule of the Mob” post. Keep an eye on next week’s G20 summit in London. Thousands of anti-capitalism zealots will be amassing there to intimidate and harass bankers. The vandalizing of the Scottish ex-banking executive’s home in Edinburgh is just [...]

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 26, 2009 05:06 PM

I’m scheduled to talk about the GIVE/SERVE Act on Glenn Beck’s show at around 5:30pm Eastern. (Update: Watch the vid at Hot Air.)
Quin Hilyer takes a closer look at the creepy national service expansion plans in today’s DC Examiner, and posts an update on one troublesome provision:

Document drop: Whitewashing the “Global War on Terror” out of existence

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 26, 2009 02:06 PM

Yesterday, the Washington Post reported on the Obama administration’s vehement denial that it is backing away from the phrase “Global War on Terror.” The phrase has long been a source of debate and rancor – not just on the left, but also on our side because it omits the important, specific context of global jihad [...]

Obama’s favorite solar panels: The rest of the story

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 26, 2009 10:13 AM

Last month before signing the Generational Theft Act of 2009, President Obama and Bozo the VP Joe Biden extolled a solar panel manufacturer that outfitted the Denver Museum of Science and Nature. I pointed out the generous government help the company received. Now, the Colorado-based Independence Institute provides the rest of the story — and [...]

Now, they tell us: AP admits that porkulus numbers are B.S.

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 26, 2009 09:40 AM

Hey, Associated Press: Way to look after the public interest! A month after the Generational Theft Act was rushed through Congress and signed into law, the news service tells us that the jobs projections were basically pulled out of thin air.
The title of the AP’s penetrating, belated analysis: “Bold claims of stimulus jobs can’t be [...]

Obama’s deportation fugitive aunt gets another day in court

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 26, 2009 09:23 AM

Where in the world is Barack Obama’s illegal alien aunt, Zeituni Onyango? When last we saw the destitute relative, she was partying on Inauguration Day despite her fugitive status. The deportation evader is set to have yet another day in immigration court. She’s back at her Boston public housing complex, courtesy of the American taxpayer, [...]

And another one bites the dust: EPA nominee withdraws over grant fraud scrutiny/conflict of interest

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 25, 2009 04:33 PM

This is beginning to get repetitious. Just in from the EPA, another Obama nominee is bailing out over scrutiny of his past:
EPA Statement on Jon Cannon

Someone really needs a teleprompter of his own:
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner sent the dollar tumbling with comments about China’s ideas for overhauling the global monetary system, only to drive it back up by affirming that it should remain the world’s reserve currency.
Geithner was initially asked at a Council on Foreign Relations event [...]

Guess who else thinks ICE agents are unpatriotic?

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 25, 2009 12:49 PM

Nancy Pelosi isn’t the only one who thinks hard-working men and women in interior immigration enforcement are unpatriotic.
If you can stomach it, watch the whole ICE-bashing diatribe. The “anti-American” smear gets tossed in at the end. And yes, that’s McCain open-borders Hispanic outreach advisor Juan Hernandez sitting next to the smear merchant, followed by another [...]

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 25, 2009 10:30 AM

Not again? Yes, again: Another person under consideration for a top Treasury job has decided to bail on Tim Geithner.
Frank Brosens, a hedge fund manager who was Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner’s choice to run the office overseeing the $700 billion bank bailout program, withdrew his name from consideration.
Brosens, a founding partner of Taconic Capital Advisors [...]

President Snippy: The video

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 25, 2009 10:05 AM

I mentioned in my liveblog of the POTUS/TOTUS show that President Obama got testy when asked by Ed Henry why his administration took so long to respond publicly to the AIG bonus botch. RCP clipped the video:

OBAMA: “It took us a couple of days because I like to know what I’m talking about before I [...]

To GIVE and to SERVE: the $6 billion National Service boondoggle

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 25, 2009 09:50 AM

My syndicated column today looks at the massive expansion of government-funded “national service.” Debate began yesterday in the Senate, where the $6 billion SERVE Act’s primary co-sponsors are Sens. Ted Kennedy and…Orrin Hatch. And there’s the rub. Since its inception, AmeriCorps has been a bipartisan-supported beast. The Evil Party and the Stupid Party strike [...]

Breaking news: Arlen Specter acts like a conservative for once…BUT

By Michelle Malkin  •  March 24, 2009 02:32 PM

Americans for Tax Reform sent out a breaking e-mail alert this afternoon announcing that GOP Sen. Arlen Specter will oppose Big Labor’s Card Check bill. This is a huge relief. Democrats are one short of the 60 needed to move it forward.
But it’s no time to do cartwheels over Specter.
He handed the Generational Theft Act [...]
