Another year in the US for Auntie Zeituni
Anyone familiar with the deportation abyss, which I’ve reported on for years, will not be surprised by the immigration court ruling in Obama’s illegal alien/fugitive aunt Zeituni Onyango’s case today. She’s getting yet another reprieve after defying judicial orders to leave the country.
Only in America, my friends:
Zeituni Onyango, the Kenyan aunt of President Obama, emerged this morning after a brief, closed-door hearing in US Immigration Court and smiled broadly.
“Praise God,” Onyango said softly, holding her head high as she was surrounded by a throng of men in suits.
Judge Leonard I. Shapiro continued Onyango’s case until Feb. 4, 2010, which allowed her to stay in the United States until at least that date, according to Fatimah Mateen, a spokesperson for the court. At the initial appearance, the judge explained the deportation charges against Onyango and detailed her rights. Mateen briefed reporters in the lobby of the courtroom, standing beneath a framed photograph of Onyango’s nephew, President Obama.
“Ms. Onyango case is being treated just like any other case before an immigration judge,” Mateen said.
Alas, there is much truth in this.
Auntie Zeituni is waiting for shamnesty:
Onyango plans to apply for permanent residency in the United States, according to Mike Rogers, a spokesman for Onyango’s lawyers. While the lawyers’ legal strategy remains unclear, Rogers said he was instructed not to use the word asylum.
“The decision as to Ms. Onyango’s request to stay permanently in the United States will be made during a second hearing,” Rogers said.
A security detail hurried her past photographers and a throng of reporters, whisking her in and out of the court without using the public entrances to federal building next to City Hall. Onyango wore a curly, rust-colored wig in what may have been an effort to hide from the media and walked with a cane, a consequence of back problems.
The hearing, which was closed at Onyango’s request, lasted less than 15 minutes and took place in a small, boxy courtroom with a red rug and nine benches. The third-floor room overlooks City Hall Plaza, where a white circus tent was visible below.
Lawyers for Onyango said yesterday that they planned to present new evidence seeking to reverse a 2004 deportation order and allow her to stay in the United States. The lawyers would not discuss their strategy, such as whether they would focus on her numerous health problems, political unrest in Kenya, or another issue.The former computer programmer, whom the president called Auntie Zeituni in one of his books, is battling a neurological condition in addition to her back problems.
The half-sister of Obama’s late father had applied for asylum in the past but lost. Since then, she has been living illegally in the United States, most recently in a South Boston public housing development.

So, American taxpayers are going to be saddled with another year of this leech on their pocketbooks? I love the reason she’s giving for not being deported: health. Like American taxpayers are supposed to pay for her medical care AND her housing, all while she’s illegal? Perfect. Absolutely #*&(&# perfect. And WHY does it take YEARS to get this baggage deported? Idiotic.
How appropriate.
The next time she leaves it’ll be when she’s flown home to be buried.
So, some American citizens on the waiting list for public housing will have to wait a little bit longer while Auntie Illegal enjoys all the comforts of a subsidized existence, courtesy of the taxpayers.

Wasn’t there something on Fox this morning about the illegals in Washington state getting a chance to get another job, after getting kicked out of some company that was raided? Sorry I didn’t catch the whole story. Maybe someone else heard it.

Why does it take a year? Can’t this judge tell these shyster lawyers they have 30 days to make their case? Actually , couldn’t he have told them that a couple of months ago when this hearing was scheduled?

I know, the judge doesn’t want to lose his job by deporting the presidents auntie, and he doesn’t want to incur the rath of those of us that actually want the laws enforced, so he just allows continuations until he retires or another judge gets the case. Chicken Sh@$ Ba@$%rd.

Immigrate legally and pay thousands of dollars and wait for years. Invade our nation despite our laws and deportation notices, receive work permits, welfare, housing (or mortgage bailouts) and legal aid.

Elkhart county, where obummer visited last month, has an 18% unemployment rate due to the RV industry going under. I wonder if those present at his speech would like to compete for a job with the illegals at that Yamamoto plant?

My wife and I are thinking about crossing the border into Mexico, sneaking back over without documentation, applying for all kinds of give-aways and then not paying taxes. It appears as if we could get free legal services, medical services and housing (maybe make a few extra bucks muling for the border entrepreneurs (according to Sec-state Clinton, it’s our fault anyway).

The U.S. government has freed all the illegals arrested in Washington state in the latest (last) workplace raid AND provided them with work permits!
So now they can work legally, when before they were arrested for working illegally, THEY WERE WORKING ILLEGALLY!

If she has a social security card, is she using someone else’s identity or did she lie to get it. Aren’t they both felony offenses? You know, I’m about to give up on the premise of law and order. Our laws are not followed and any order we used to have is now utter chaos.

I would lock and load but most of my local stores are completely out or very low on ammo. They fill up a shelf and it’s gone. Making another run tomorrow.
Meanwhile, I’m getting hounded daily by collection agencies because i owe the doctor $1500 (after insurance) for my daughter’s hospital visit. I should have told them I’m unemployed, and they might have treated her for free.
Why does she need another hearing the first one denied her residency request what else is there to discuss she is an illegal alien, a criminal.
Why is she getting free pubic housing is that not a felony?
Does anyone want to know when the great one Legally changed his name from Barry Soetoro to Obama.I sure would like to know when he got off the foreign aid and became Obama instead of Barry getting a foreign scholarship paying his tuition.

Lawyers? LAWYERS??? A security detail? And she has so many lawyers that they need their own spokesman?
And all this while living in public housing and supposedly on welfare?
How many of you can afford to keep ONE lawyer on retainer, let alone more than one who are actively working on a case? And how many people that are fighting to stay here after living here ILLEGALLY have a TEAM of lawyers working on their case. I won’t even get into the whole “security detail”.
And we are supposed to feel pity for this criminal?
Seems like someone’s “FAVORITE AUNTIE” isn’t having to go through this all by herself. Someone needs to look into who is paying for all this, and why they are showing such favoritism.
This is the way Obama solves his problema. Add another year of time for everyone to forget about her.
What is it with Barack Obama and the people in his family? I mean, he threw his mother’s mother under the bus for “being a typical white person,” he’s got a half-brother who lives in a hut (not even good enough for a slum), and his aunt in Boston is needling her way to live on OUR dime.
He must have the lowest esteem for his own flesh and blood of any politician I’ve ever seen. It’s pathetic. Doesn’t BO have enough dough from his books and any other cash that has found its way into his pocket to put up his aunt and half-brother in some way? As much as he “feels” for OTHER PEOPLE’S problems, and the “crisis” they face, he’s got family problems staring HIM in the face, but he simply looks in the opposite direction.
