How, exactly, does building a new fire station “stimulate” the economy? Sure, It will create a dozen (or so) jobs for about 6-9 months with taxpayer money, but what happens after that??? Answer: NOTHING

Compare that to building a factory. Once the factory is built, it will employ many more people than it took to build the facility – for a heck of a lot longer than it took to build the facility.

So, taxpayer funded, meager, short-term solution vs. private funds for bold, long-term solution??
