Gee, I thought Obama ushered in the Age of Post-Racialism. Another illusion busted by Louisville Courier-Journal columnist Betty Baye:
Flummoxed.
I don’t recall ever using that word before in a column, but it’s a great description of how some folks are behaving toward President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama…
…To be sure, the flummoxed come in all shapes, sizes and colors. There’s Rush Limbaugh, the perpetually angry white guy, and Michelle Malkin, the acidic Asian-American columnist, who has written that the mere sight of Michelle Obama on a video frightened her young son. And don’t forget Thomas Sowell, the African-American economist and syndicated columnist. All are apoplectic about Barack Obama’s rise.
Mrs. Baye, I never wrote that Michelle Obama “frightened” my son. Not that you’ll correct it — non-acidic liberal columnists play by different rules — but here’s what I actually wrote and light-heartedly so in my post about Mrs. O’s public service video:
While I was watching it, my five-year-old son complained: “Mommy, that’s annoying me.” I know how he feels.
You can say that again, little buddy!

Since any time you have the television on seeing Obama is unavoidable, my four-year-old rolls his eyes now when he sees him and says “I’m tired of him.”

It’s a shame but the once respected and balanced Courier-Journal(C-J) reduced itself to being a Democrat mouthpiece in our state shortly after the Bingham family sold controlling interest in it to Gannett. And despite the paper’s decline, it continues to show no signs of reverting back to credible journalism and unbiased reporting.
For the C-J, like their equally liberal competitor in Lexington (Herald-Leader), it’s all about bashing conservatives while propping up Democrats – no matter how much it reduces their revenues, circulation and reputations.
Betty Baye is the least post racial person in the US. In her bio she brags about concentrating on “African-American issues” as if African-Americans have nothing in common with others. In one column, she referred to her fellow African-American women as “sisters” but she made clear that the term “sister” does not extend to nonAfrican-American women. If you just browse through Baye’s columns, you will see one angry woman filled to the brim with grievances, anger and selfrighteousness. You can see that she is not interested in any kind of dialogue. This is a woman who walks around all day feeling angry and bitter and filled with suspicions. We all know people like that. It makes you wonder how they can get through the day. It must be brutal to be a coworker of Ms. Baye. You would have to be on your toes all day just making sure you don’t offend Betty.
Congratulations, Michelle! You’ve been complemented!

Note to Betty Baye: Calling someone a “white guy” is offensive and insensitive. I prefer the term Scandinavian-American. I will be organizing protests at the offices of the Louisville Courier-Journal until they end this racist policy (or pay me off).

You’re a conservative, therefore they can’t beat you on the basis of logical, reasoned arguments so they resort to the kinds of childish things they accuse us of. Race is always the first. Quite frankly, I’m surprised they didn’t work in a slam because you’re a conservative woman and, therefore, a traitor to your gender.
I wasn’t a psychology major, but I took a few pysch classes in college and learned that this is called “projection.” Liberals call conservatives all sorts of things (racists, bigots, homophobes, intolerant, facist) because they are all those things but don’t want to accept it.
I hate to tell you this but blacks are some of the most racist of people. I have worked with many over 30 years and consider many friends. But one thing I can tell you is that they will discriminate against anything. They even discriminate among themselves over skin color. As to other nationals, forget it, they hate them. This might seems very generalized but is true. You will find with empowerment that they will definitely feel a necessity to get back at the white man. As to Obama, he is a very stupid person that will bait the various races and has no intention in a healing process.
If you all haven’t seen it yet there is a special on National Geographic about the old and new Black Panther Party. Definitely worth seeing because it explains alot of whats going on now with our country. The show links black marxist ideology that is spewed by the BPs and most black churches. I assume Acorn and such have the same ideology. The new BP leaders are very racist against whites/Jews and believe the only way for them to get “advanced” is to have a black President and to kill all of the white people. They got half of their wish, now I am waiting for the other shoe to fall. What really struck me about the show is that it didn’t hold back and that the Panthers soldiers were fully uniformed and armed in their rallies. If a white person wore a uniform and carried a weapon they would be immediately wisked off to jail. Is it allowed to brandish rifles, shotguns and asault weapons in public with any consequences?
I print these articles out. Then I show them to my nieces and nephews. I point out the race baiting remarks, lies and distortions from hate-monger liberals like Betty Baye of the Louisville Courier-Journal.
I’m apoplectic over Obama’s liberal worldview, crazy economic plans, frightening energy policy, softening the War on Terror, enabling massive illegal immigration, weird cabinet appointments, etc. What’s race got to do with it?

I watched the show last night too. Didn’t bother me to much as I didn’t see any more numbers in their ranks than your standard KKK, or skinhead NAZI protests. Every race has it’s losers. Thank god they never amount to more 10 to 15 people.

Ok, Mrs. Malkin is pretty much stuck with the Asian ancestry, but you don’t need a prescription anymore for proton-pump inhibitors like Prilosec anymore, so no excuse for being acidic.

As an aside, why are labels like African-American still the rage? Bet very few of them came from Africa. Most would be two or more generations removed from an African origin, if at all!
Ok, I concede we can take Barry Hussein Obama as the given exception, if he, as he proudly wrote, was born of a Kenyan father, and born in Kenya as attested by his grandmother. He can rightfully call himself Kenyan-American. (This is a concession to thewun, which from me is hard to come by!)
But for the rest, let’s drop the crazy hyphenated designation. Either folks are Americans or they are not.
