As an aside, why are labels like African-American still the rage? Bet very few of them came from Africa. Most would be two or more generations removed from an African origin, if at all!

Ok, I concede we can take Barry Hussein Obama as the given exception, if he, as he proudly wrote, was born of a Kenyan father, and born in Kenya as attested by his grandmother. He can rightfully call himself Kenyan-American. (This is a concession to thewun, which from me is hard to come by!)

But for the rest, let’s drop the crazy hyphenated designation. Either folks are Americans or they are not.

I pity poor Betty Baye. Clearly her taste acuity is impaired and she cannot recogize sweet…just as she is incapable of seeing truth.

Too bad, she actually was on to something, but got it wrong. The only worthwhile point is that opposition to Obama’s policies is broad-based. It cuts across race and gender.

*I’d like to see this Betty(affirmative action)Baye do a column outlining core principles of P-BO and FL-MO had they been under the tutelage of Thomas Sowell for twenty years rather than Rev. Wright, William Ayers, and Calypso Louie; I believe most people would be well pleased with the result; As it is, we have 2 people carrying around a giant Redwood on their shoulders, and they are all about inflicting pain.

Anytime you find yourself pitched in the same waste-bin as the great Dr. Thomas Sowell, you are doing alright. MM and RL should be high-fiving each other, a higher compliment (of course unintended) would be hard to conceive.
