No new trial for Death Row cop-killer Mumia abu Jamal

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 6, 2009 01:27 PM

The good news: SCOTUS ruled today that left-wing poster boy/convicted Death Row cop-killer Mumia abu Jamal will not get a new trial:

Mumia Abu-Jamal has lost his bid for a new trial in the killing of a Philadelphia police officer in 1981.

The Supreme Court said Monday it will not take up Abu-Jamal’s claims that prosecutors improperly excluded blacks from the jury that convicted him of murdering Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner.

The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia upheld Abu-Jamal’s conviction but held his death sentence invalid. The appeals court said it would not second-guess state court rulings rejecting Abu-Jamal’s claims of bias in the composition of the jury.

The bad news:

The high court considered only the conviction. The state has separately asked the court to reinstate the death sentence, but the justices have not acted on that request.

More time for France to name new monuments and roads after him. And for the MSM to fawningly call him a “human rights campaigner.”

When will there be justice for Officer Danny Faulkner?

Sadly not in this life although the death of Mumia abu Jamal would help I am sure. Actor Ed Asner has made a life’s work of harassing Mrs. Faulkner and then lying about it. The Hollywood/Leftist elite does seem to take a perverse pleasure in causing pain.It is a good thing that this is a state case and not Federal-Clinton or Obama would pardon the man-they do seem to admire police killers.

When Mumia abu Jamal and his supports reach Hell Fire there will be justice for Officer Danny Faulkner and his family.

My quick solution to the Death Penalty bottleneck: One!

You either get one appeal, the conclusion of which is final, or one year from sentencing, whichever comes first.

After the appeal, if it is unsuccessful, you are taken to meet Sparky the next morning. If, during your appeal, a full year elapses, Mumia, meet Sparky.

We’ll have Death Row emptied in 365 days. And thousands of killers will no longer be able to kill.

I know it’s simplistic, but tell me where there are any flaws — aside from the “what about the innocent” canard.

I completely agree. Prisoners should only have one appeal. Their lawyers just keep finding something else to appeal in order to prolong everything. Get your one appeal and then if you don’t succeed, it is time to face the consequences. Then the victim’s family can have peace.

Someone on Newsbusters summed it up about liberals. They always side with the aggressor and, the more innocent the victim, the more ardently liberals support the aggressor.

Mrs. Faulkner lost her husband before their life together really began. So far as I’m aware, she never remarried. Where is the justice for her? Why do liberals never feel for the families of the victims?

Gee…will we be inundated by a new rash of the apologists in Hollywood and the music industry like REM and others who will rush to this murdering thugs aid with benefit concerts and other such nonsense so that he can fight Whitey who obviously has gone into overtime trying to frame this poor, innocent soul? I mean, Whitey was able to get that visionary, that lover of children, that peace-maker Tookie…when, oh when will Whitey’s thirst for the blood of these innocent black men be slacked?

I mean, is that a real cop that was killed? Is there any proof at all that he was even a cop? Would anyone put it past Whitey to have a “throw-down” corpse, cleverly disguised as a cop, in order to frame this great Nobel Peace Prize nominee and eliminate him from society in order to destroy the message he has for the people of this world?

When will Whitey stop spending all this time setting up elaborate plans and sinister traps? When will the truth finally be told? When will they free Abba Dabba Funky-Butt?

That’s about what it all comes down to. The global syndicate known as “Da Man” who’s only goal is to frame supposed innocent blacks for crimes they did not commit.

What I want to know is why this SOB is still breathing. Where are the benefit concerts, films, t-shirts, songs, and other assorted schwag to benefit Officer Faulkner’s family? Where are all the media celebrities that are speaking out against this injustice that is being carried out every single minute of single day that this piece of filth, (my apologies to filth) is still breathing?

This case alone is the most demonstrative case of how corrupt the entire appellate process in this country is. This guy is not innocent and he and everyone around him knows it, yet he has been allowed, at the cost of millions upon millions of tax payer dollars, to clog up the courts with his ridiculous appeals. Between him and Charles Ng, they have made a mockery of the entire system.

There needs to be a law passed that limits how many appeals that a convict is allowed to have. Let’s say, for instance, three. On a Capital Offense case, the first appeal is automatic, as it is now. After that you have two more before your sentence…and it is a PUNISHMENT…a PENALTY…not a deterrent…is carried out, so you better be damn sure that it is not bogus or frivolous. Once the third one is done, and if the convict loses it…that’s it…off to the medical table and the venous cocktail for the murdering scum-wad.

Or, for all the Socialist/Marxist Liberals, we could just change our Capital Offense cases to the way that they did it in the former Soviet Union. Sort of a trip down Communist Nostalgia Lane.

Following the reading of the verdict, if it be “Guilty”, and the sentence is “Death”, the convict is handcuffed, lead out a side door into a windowless room where he then suffers an extreme and acute sudden case of terminal lead poisoning to the head.

Either way is fine with me. It would end this nightmare that these scumbags have made out of the process, empty out our death rows and permanently cleanse the gene pool of these pieces of feces.
