Sign of the day

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 13, 2009 05:10 PM

Leslie at Temple of Mut blogged the San Diego Tea Party this weekend and took a pic of my favorite sign of the day:

If you are a grass-roots activist who believes in fiscal accountability and transparency, you see a protester who is sending a clear message to the Chicken Littles in both parties in Congress: No more bailout/spending legislation without deliberation!

If you are a race-obsessed leftist like Geraldo Rivera, all you can see is a “person of color” who must have been brainwashed into holding the sign!

The left is trying desperately to turn the tax day tea parties into a “Rich” Conservative Republican only event. They can’t deal with the fact that all Americans can want smaller government, less intrusion. We don’t all want to be ruled by Nancy Pelosi and the idiots in Washington DC. THEY work for US!

I just became a Citizen Reporter for Pajamas Media, so I’m hoping to do my part.

Here in the Houston area, we’re having Tea Parties in Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Houston, and the Pearland/Clear Lake areas. The Houston event is expecting 5,000 people.

The local CBS affiliate, KHOU, covered the Kevin Price radio show last week, where Tea Party organizers/members were meeting. I went to the event and waited to see the news that evening. I was reminded why I no longer watch KHOU.

They spun the story to say that the Tea parties have been organized by the RNC, then noted the national approval rating of the GOP. Nothing about the reckless spending or the reasons why the parties had begun. Nothing about opposition to the parties.

    Wholly and invidiously bias.

I hope I’m not the only “brother” at the Tea Party in Atlanta. With Herman Cain and other intelligent brothers in the area, there should be lots of us.

However, if I am, I’m sure they will interview me, and then look out! I’ll concisely tell them why I am protesting, what is wrong with my counterpart in the White House’s tax plans, and what I think should be done instead.

That is, if they cover us. The MSM may try to sweep us under the rug, as they often do. A handful of Liberals interests them, 6,000 conservatives is ho-hum.

And the ones that can read carry a teleprompter to tell them what they think…

Obama: “Good Froggie, good froggie. Hey who put ‘froggie’ on my TOTUS instead of ‘doggie’?”

Teleprompter guy: “Sorry Mr. President – that’s not for the dog, it’s from your conversation with Sarkozy.”

*Statistically speaking, if people of color only knew what is about to befall them through Obamanomics(higher unemployment at the top of the list), they would openly partake in a Tea Party or two.

The government, I’ve seen, doesn’t like to use the word “taxes” anymore. Now, they’re called “fees”. An example would be the proposed “street light fee”, in D.C.. I guess if you don’t want to use the street lights, you’re out of luck anyway. It’s easier to increase “fees”, or create new ones, than to increase taxes. The result is the same; more money for them, less for us.

Sooner or later even dummass entitlement whores will figure out that they have been rolled by the secular-”progressive” juggernaut. Does anyone remember the outrage du jour immediately before 9/11? It was racial profiling of minorities by cops. Who were among the first to call for profiling after 9/11? That’s right…. minority blacks.

The rising black and brown middle class in this country will wake up to this financial rape in the coming months. This is not a race-based issue, it is a human issue, and politicization of government and media is a blade that can cut both ways.

Meanwhile the Liberal BS in the MSM is astroturfing for Pirates.

The Age of Somalian Pirates is in line with the median age in the country of Somalia 17 years old, the life expectancy is 47 years old for males, that means a 16 year old would be a full grown man in their culture-country – Not the same as in Western culture. So why is our Media using a Western measuring stick for non Western people? Slow, Ignorant, Lazy….
