Live Tea Party Twitter feeds/open thread
Hey, rightwing extremists: Just landed in Sacto. It’s sunny and warm. Perfect day for a radical tea party.
I’ve received tons of email from folks who aren’t able to attend a tea party today because they have to, you know, work to pay for all the bailouts, non-stimulating stimuli packages, bloated budgets, etc. Many of you are hanging tea bags from your rearview mirrors, putting up yard signs, etc. Send photos and I’ll post after I get settled at the Sacto event.
For now, here’s a widget to keep you up to date on the #teaparty Twitter feed and a tab for my own feed. I’ll post more soon.
As always, engage in rightwing extremist Internet chatter amongst yourselves!

I just got back from the party in Jacksonville and it was packed-the photos will look great when you see them.
A lot of people DO still seem to care!
I am all aTwitter with excitement. Bring money for my bail
Soaked to the bone and back from Harrisburg PA tea party.
estimate of turnout is aprox 1500 people
not bad for rainy 44 deg day!!
there was alot of media coverage and we had no acornholio disrupters.
good luck to everyone whose has yet to take place God Bless,,B
Look at this snapshot from the Columbia, SC protest.
WOW!
Az I put an atty on retainer just in case. The disrupters weenied out I guess
paul,
glad to see some folks are in the sun,
that looks alot like our turnout in harrisburg minus umbrellas lol!!
Columbia is my homeotown (and has my heart forever), but I’m in the la la land of Raleigh, NC now. It’s much different here in what I now refer to as “Yankee Carolina”
Just got back from the Belmar, NJ Tea Party. We’re a small town, and there were several other parties in the state, but we managed to get several hundred—on the boardwalk—in a brutal Nor’easter. 38 degrees with winds ~ 30mph.
More on Belmar, NJ.
Local TV covered it (Channel 12) as well as a couple of radio stations and someone said they saw CNN.
Had a couple of “infiltrators.” One from the John Birch Society, and another moron who kept asking, “Where are all the minorities?” Funny thing was, it was easy to shut him up because there were plenty there!
Just got back from the Tea Party in Lafayette, In. What a turn out. The MSM cannot ignore this. There is another one at 6:00 P.M. tonight.
Irish thats a great turnout in this crappy weather!!
yankee carolina snicker
Stupid can be so amusing.
bansharia #11
It was!
Just changed my clothes—even the underwear was soaked! Well worth it though. LOL
can watch some parties online at fox news:
http://www.foxnews.com/
No no.
If we on the left have to claim our crazy fringe, you have to claim yours. John Birchers are not “infiltrators.”
So was there a wet “tea” shirt contest?
If so, count me in.
Just came back from Boston tea party..about 2000 people there!!!!
Irish,
but I did actually wear socks!
I didnt wear any
chap,
def “highbeam” weather in the nor east today
huge crowd in DC!!!
Just got back from the Madison, WI tea party.
What a turnout! Remeber, Madison is Berkely with bad weather, so when I tell you 5,000 PLUS showed up, it’s a big deal!
Great weather, great crowd.
Paul Ryan did speak, but for only a couple of minutes.
The best of the day was a 17 yo girl who knew more of American history than most in the big white dome behind her. Of course, she was a home schooler. BONUS!
Gorgeous here in RI. But I do wish I were down there. I hate this state.
this is a better link

harbormaster:
GLAD TO HEAR IT! I, sadly, had to work today so I couldn’t make it to the People’s Republic of Madison, but I’m glad the turnout was so great. Hopefully Gov. Doyle got the message (although I doubt it).
chap you going to the Providence party?
Mrs. Calamity attended a tea party in the very blue NH town where she works. She thought about fifty people were there. A great turnout considering it is a small town and she heard that the local morning dj said that the party was cancelled.
P.S. She remembered to take a tea bag when she left work.
english,
I did a a lil yelling on your B1/2,
so you were in Harrisburg PA in spirit as you mentioned you had to work
Not unless there is a wet tee shirt contest.
cal,
it all adds up tell her great job!!
Hey, I’m one of those who had to work for the Buffalo Tea Party out at Niagara Square. Beautiful day for a rally, 58 degrees and sunny. Anyone go? I see nothing on the websites for WBEN AM and WIVB TV. I already admonished my wife for not going, but I think she wouldn’t go without me.
Just another conservative, retired AF type…guess that makes me an extremist
Sorry that came out wrong…I was working and COULDN’T make it to the rally.
I hope it did as well or better than the rally 3 weeks ago at the Erie Canal terminus.
great band in Sacremento on the fox feed, this is fun stuff you just have to LOVE this Blessed Country.
From what one of the speakers said, King Doyle was out of state. SURPRISE!
I stopped by the Nanuet, NY party earlier. It was just starting and, in a small town, in one of the most liberal counties in NY, and in cloudy wind-chilled weather, there was already about 100 of us there. The best part was the reaction from the motorists. There was honking, hollering, and waving from a majority of them.
No counter protestors had shown up yet so I guess the local paper will have nothing to write about.
I was disappointed that I couldn’t stay but someone has to work to pay the taxes. After all, standing on the corner doesn’t help Michelle’s children at all.
As I posted yesterday … my response to anyone saying “no minorities, or “no diversity” will be to simply agree and then while they think they just put things down reply “nothing here but Real Americans” …
Will do ban, thanks.
Mark,
I have kinfolk in Buff and many over at St Stan’s ( MTRIP ).
Thank you for your service to this great Country huggg.
On the way out to the Warsaw, Indiana party now. Will report when we get back!
is MM going to be in sacremento with neil? crap she said where she will be the otherday and hve 4gotten ;(
Thought it interesting that the SF Comical actually has a story on the Tea Parties – but, as usual, they have a link to HuffPo, and nothing linking to any right-wing extremists
John Birch Society is not in the infiltrator category. They are very much like-minded. I plan on passing out their fliers at the Tea Party here tonight.
My wife and I will be in Omaha after her school day ends. A Tom Paine impersonator plans to give a modernized “Give me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech.
bansharia …
MM is in Sacramento …
As I watch the nutroots go crazy over the TEA Parties, I have to laugh at them knowing that tomorrow we probably won’t be reading any tales about people getting arrested on weapons charges or people assaulting police officers.
That sort of behavior is reserved for left-wing presidential victory parties.
purealchemy:
I agree with a fair amount of their positions, but they do go overboard. A little too far to the right for me…They thought Eisenhower was a communist.
I just came back from my local tea party. It was a pretty good turn out considering the weather was absolutely miserable. I was really inspired by my fellow patriots!
Where “bags” are involved – uh, no. Which would make them Code Pink anyway…
I knew it! Oh wait, ….
Well, you all are the ones always telling us how much more attractive conservative women are.
but just try to counter THIS!
Sure wish I could make it to the party here in San Francisco. I am at work and cannot get there in time. It’s being held at Civic Center, very close to the federal building where Ms Pelosi has her district office (not the Speaker’s office, but the regular district office). The party is supposed to march to the Federal building, about a two minute march.
The local Indymedia thugs are threatening to make a ruckus because they heard the Minutemen are going to be there. I hope everything goes well.
I can’t believe Medea Benjamin from Code Pink actually showed up in DC. Didn’t anyone have a pie?
Just got back from the tea party in Trussville, Alabama.
We had a great rally here in Oklahoma City. Beautiful sunny day, nice breeze. About 3000 (maybe more – one of the TV stations had their helicopter there to cover it) turned out, and it was absolutely phenomenal.
I’m predicting that a lot of liberals will be absolutely panic stricken by tonight. They never expected any kind of backlash like this against The One.
I’m back from the Louisville, Kentucky Tea Party.
Despite a lame drive-by guestimate of “a couple hundred protesters” by our local radio station WHAS, I’m going to guess that we had 1000 to 1500 patriots braving the wind and cold here from 11am to 1pm across the street from the office of our “Mayor for Life,” Democrat Jerry Abramson. My photos can’t capture how big the crowd was.
We had some FABULOUS grassroots speakers, two great patriotic singers and some AWESOME homemade signs and posters. This wonderful, successful gathering was pulled together by a 24 year old restaurant worker named Wendy. ALL FOUR of our local TV stations had satellite trucks there, and I can’t WAIT to see what (if anything) makes the news tonight.
We are FIRED UP here in Loo-a-vul…
DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS! In Austin, Rick Perry and Michael Williams were great. Signs everywhere and crowd estimated at about 1500.
Michelle, the TCOT and Tea Party Sites show the Kansas City Liberty Memorial TP starting 5:30PM but kcmogop.blogspot.com
which is the email contact provided by these sites gives 4:00PM today. KansasCity.com shows 4 also. Good grief…
chap–what no pics of Jane Fonda or Pamela Anderson?
I just returned from the Carrollton, TX tea party where they had a sign up sheet so that they could prove how many people had actually attended. The number was over 500 people who signed and possibly some who didn’t sign. All ages were represented and there were some people of color there as well. Many people driving by on the frontage road of President George Bush Tollway/Freeway honked and waved or gave us a thumbs up. A few even asked how they could participate. The local Channel 4 Fox had a news crew there filming various signs and interviewing a few people. Two cars drove by and someone inside yelled “Go Obama”. The police kept an eye the situation, but I think they became bored because there really wasn’t any “situation” to keep an eye on. The people were well behaved and very friendly. For an event that took place in the middle of a work day I think the attendance was very good. No other local news coverage as far as I know. No politicians were there as far as I was aware. It was entirely a grass roots happening.
So, you like RED?
Or are you stunned by black as this soldier is?
Pix from Lansing Michigan. Huge crowd. Joe the Plumber even showed up!
Yeah, well you can have your vapid, airbrushed, synthetic Hollyweird stars. Try a real woman instead. Try this!
That was a different era and the allegations against Eisenhower were limited. I suggest you get updated and check out their magazine: http://www.newamerican.com.
Very, very smart people, especially William Jasper.
Okay. You talked me into it.
Beauty is more than skin deep. If Johannsen doesn’t open her mouth, great. The second she talks – about politics, that is – she’s just another hackneyed Hollywood liberal with no real clue…
Local radio station here (owned by the NBC television station affiliate) in Grand Rapids, MI, said about 4,000 were in Lansing. Earlier this morning, 1,000 were in tiny Hudsonville, a suburb of Grand Rapids. Later tonite, they are expecting a really large crowd by the Ford Museum downtown. So the local stations are keeping up (radio). Fox news is doing shots of the various areas, Cavuto has been interviewed in Sacramento. In Sacramento, they are not letting ANY politicians speak, they are sick of all of them. HAHA.
I think I could force myself to deal with her skin deep beauty, if only for a while, if you really put a gun to my head.
People listen?
So as not to be accused of derailing another thread…
Ugh. Men!
Tea Parties all over the Inland Empire, despite a cool and blustery day. San Bernardino, Temecula, saw a large crowd in Riverside…
For the first time I can remember, I’m in a good mood on April 15. Does that make me a right wing extremist?
I see Chappy’s philosophy on women is the same as his political philosophy. Skin deep is all he wants or can handle…
Jam on Scarlett!
Don’t worry Chap – open thread.
Attractive to many people & ultimately a success?
Yeah, I totally hate this guy…
Just got back from the Colorado Springs event (I took a long lunch, but have to work!). There was a big crowd, and Rep. Doug Lamborn spoke. He is one of the few that has voted correctly!
Baton Rouge had a great turnout, as well. I’m proud of my fellow citizens today (who aren’t named Paul Begala, at least).
No, I was thinking more like vapid, empty, meaningless, and costly…
Marxism is the zombie of political philosophies. No matter how many times empirical evidence slays it, it rises from the dead to suck the life out of innocent people.
We are NOT talking about your Tuesday nights at the strip club.
Keep on topic.
Whats happening in Boston? Anyone know?
Gilbert, Arizona noon rally we had over one thousand so I am pleased. Every time someone mocked the porkulus bill the crowd chanted “yes we can”; not sure just how to take that.
John McCain did not attend-so sad. (little tear here)
Pretty good crowd in Gillette, in spite of the cold rainy weather. I hear there is going to be another one this evening (after people get off work). And there is supposed to be one in Rozet this evening also. So I’ll probably hit both of them.
Talk radio’s Michael Graham is hosting the Boston Tea Party – Cavuto has been showing pictures on Fox.
I haven’t watched CNN in years. Take a look at this arrogant, biased “journalist” reporting on the Tea Party from Chicago. Are all CNN “journalists” this “fair and balanced?”
What a crock!
http://www.eyeblast.tv/public/checker.aspx?v=ydSUqGSUaG
(The site is getting a link from Drudge so it is very slow in loading. They are probably getting slammed with traffic.)
Just got back from the Denver Tea Party. Several people were estimating the crowd at 10,000+.
It was great and we got a great response from people driving by, even blocks away from the Capitol.
I didn’t see any ACORN-type counter-protesters. There was a guy pushing to audit the Federal Reserve and the graphic anti-abortion protesters distracted from the message we’re trying to send.
All-in-all, it was a good time and I hope the message gets across.
PS – I wish I could be there, but like some others who’ve commented, work and family commitments had to come first.
I went to Lansing – it was awesome! I have no idea if 4,000 is right, because I was in the crowd and therefore couldn’t judge the size. But I’ve noticed that the media usually tends to under-report attendance at the conservative events, so part of me is hoping that if they said 4,000 there were actually twice that number!
The Boston Herald” has pre-Tea Party coverage; it will be interesting to see what their post-Tea Party coverage is like (am expecting the equivalent of chirping crickets from the Boston Globe-Democrat).
Our MM is talking with Cavuto on Fox! Yay, MM!
Jealous that y’all are having good weather!
Columbus starts in a little over an hour.
45 and all drizzly.
Oh well! Won’t disrupt our good cheer!
We had a small group of goth kids carrying ‘Legalize Marijuana’ and pro-Obama signs at the Colorado Springs event, but they were mostly ignored.
bansharia: cut your lawyer loose-I was good.
Any buddy listening to Paul Begala? He does not like us and we do not want to take care of the wounder veterans in Walter Reed. I do not think we are the people who want wounded veterans to pay for their own health care. Damn I hate socialist.
The day of calling them liberals is over-they co-opted a term they do not deserve–they are now, always have been and always will be socialist. Their heroes are Mussolini, Lenin, Stalin and Castro. They are Progressive right back to the Russian Revolution. Hussein Obama’s friend William Ayers is more Levrenty Beria than John Adams.
Oh well, Phoenix at 5.
Have Tea Bag
Will Travel
Hannity played his rant while I was driving back to work. What a tool.
Begala is despicable. And so is Bill Press. Press was on some show the other day feigning outrage that private conservative groups might have played a role in organization protests!
I guess in his lunatic mind only the government should organize protests!
Is that the same as Community Organizers?
Begala is a douche. I would love for him to get in my veteran face and tell me that I don’t do enough for my country. What a useless meat sack.
Just got back from the Carson City, NV party.
GREAT function! I’m only guessing, but maybe 2000 to 4000 people depending on time between 10 AM and 1 PM. In front of state legislature building, on both sides of the street, on the lawns, cars honking like crazy, loud truck horns – beautiful!!
Dean Heller and Sharron Angle gave brief talks, but most of all, everyone was elated at just sharing similar thoughts about our out-of-control government spending.
Great signs, friendly dogs, excited children – what a fantastic show of pride in country!
Went to the event in Hartford. Crowd estimated at 3-4,000. Great speakers. Among them talk show hosts from two of the local radio stations.
Let me guess what all the parties have in common. No arrests. No litter left behind. The people these events are attracting have integrity and personal responsibility which is why we don’t want to be dependent on government.
A decent HS journalism student with a C average could outdo Susan Rosen. She was looking for a fight, not a story, and she does not have a clue how to conduct a live interview.
Its just part of the reason CNN is in the toilet and Fox is doing better.
Can’t come today. I have to work to support Octo-Mom and her 14 kids!
Rockwall, TX starts at 6PM Central. Going to be there.
I just got back from the Chicago Tea Party.
I’ve never SEEN such a big crowd-I’m a former member of Chicago Protest Warrior-ever!
My husband was guessing 3000+.
I took photos and am hoping to have them uploaded later this eve.
