What is the difference between Anderson Cooper and Matt Taibbi?
Content warning. Don’t read any further if you’ve just had a meal and want to keep it down, ok?
This is vulgarian Matt Taibbi:
I have to say, I’m really enjoying this whole teabag thing. It’s really inspiring some excellent daydreaming. For one thing, it’s brought together the words teabag and Michelle Malkin for me in a very powerful, thrilling sort of way. Not that I haven’t ever put those two concepts together before, but this is the first time it’s happened while in the process of reading her actual columns.
Previously Michelle Malkin’s writing was on the edge of unreadable; she’s sort of like Ann Coulter, only without that tiny fraction of P.T. Barnum/Mick Jagger-esque self-promotional flair that makes Coulter at least vaguely interesting. When you read Ann Coulter, you know you’re reading someone who would fuck a hippopotamus if she thought it would boost her Q rating. That’s a rare quality and it commands one’s attention.
Michelle Malkin doesn’t have that. She’s just a mean little dunce who’s wedged herself into a nicely paying career as a GOP spokesclown, and she’s going to ride that gig for as long as it keeps gas in her minivan.
And that’s fine, good for her. But that doesn’t make her readable. However, this move of hers to spearhead the teabag movement really adds an element to her writing that wasn’t there before. Now when I read her stuff, I imagine her narrating her text, book-on-tape style, with a big, hairy set of balls in her mouth. It vastly improves her prose.

Taibbi at least had the courage of his sexual predelictions not to hide coyly behind innuendo.

Those jokes are lame, vulgar and disgusting coming from anyone, including several posters on this blog. Can the posters around here at least TRY to remember there are ladies present? Although why even men would wish to discuss or make jokes like this is beyond me too…
I don’t even know what to say about a man who would say something like that toward ANY woman.
Vile, disgusting, reprehensible, contemptible, foul and repulsive are just a few words that come to mind.
Whoever carries his filth should drop him instantly!
Oh, BTW: While they all laughed and twittered, Prop 8 passed by a wide margin, so we’ll keep doing what we’re doing, all the while caring FAR less about them than they do about us.
How can we tell that this is having an effect on them and they are squirming in their little pants?
When this began, it was totally and completely ignored. When there were crowds of 15,000 or so in Fullerton, the L.A. Times claimed it was nothing and thus did not deserve even a blurb. We were stating how the media in general was not rporting on any of them. In fact, we were all fairly certain that yesterday would be, for the most part, ignored.
Then the Tax Day TEA Party happened. There were more people than most organizers hoped for. It was peaceful, organized and attended by both parties. Sure, there was not a noticable Liberal presence, but considering the fact that it is the Liberals who are claiming that high taxes and run-away spending by Der Fuhrer and the Congress is needed and good, can anyone say they really expected them to be there in any other form than some childish tantrum throwing of a counter protest?
So the numbers were finally large enough that the media could not ignore it. However, considering the fact that the MSM is nothing more than the TotUS’s bastard third cousin twice removed, and is Der Fuhrer’s personal mouth piece, was anyone expecting that they would report things the way they actually happened? Was anyone really expecting for any of these Liberals on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC or especially CBS to come out in favor of what the primary message of the rallies was?
I surely hope not, for if anyone did, they are only fooling themselves into believing the Left wants something other than a Socialist country in the next two years, and that they are actually open and non-biased.
So, since they could not truthfully report the activities with a non-biased fashion, they did what they always do:
Ridicule, belittle, demean and do everything they could to dispairage those that not only attended and supported them, but try to discourage anyone from getting involved in the future.
The CNN report and comments alone was nothing more than proof of this fact. For them to pretend such outrage that someone would call Obama a “fascist” or anything else, while completely falling silent on everything that the Liberals did and said about President Bush for 8 years has got to be the biggest example yet of the hypocrisy permeating the media in general. All one need do is perform a Google Images search for any anti-Bush protests, rallies, statements, DU, Kos, HuffPoo and you will see PLENTY of examples of what this woman claimed was disgusting and not for family viewing.
Well of course not. We need to remember that ultimately we are attacking two things:
Their false god and saviour who is implementing all these things and taking us headlong down the path to Socialism/Marxism and
The very tenets of Liberalism itself.
They will not sit there and just let it happen. They have been doing too much too fast, and people are not going to stand for it, and neither will the Liberals and their mouth-pieces in the media. Sure, they are acting like spoiled little children, but that is just how they always act. The ignored, now they belittle, demean and make it appear insignificant.
The next step in their playbook is far worse. This is when they go into attack mode, so be ready. While yesterday’s events were pretty much without any of the threatened counter-protests or infiltrators, you can be damn certain that the next ones will be, and that the MSM will be there, cameras rolling and talking heads spewing, to delve ever deeper into the cess pool that is Lib-Think.
It is working…that is what this is showing, and they are terrified of it growing bigger…which it will with every stroke of Der Fuhrer’s pen.

I look forward to the rest of us standing up with such fervor against those who attack our God, for it is happening with increasing intensity and frequency. Pray for me, as I write letters to the comment editor of sfgate and call them out on permitting such hate speech against Christians, in particular. Thanks.

There were far more than 250,000 protestors. FoxNews alone, covering just the largest of the protests (somewhere in the neighborhood of a dozen around the country), easily showed upward of 100,000 —and there were another 800 plus tea parties left uncovered by the MSM.
Just running the numbers, there were at least a million people in total based on some of the anecdotal reports to you. For example, between Richmond and Virginia Beach, the reports are about 8,000 for just three tea parties not picked up in your reporting as far as I can tell.
As far as Anderson Cooper is concerned. I read one of his books a few years ago and he came across as a ghoul chasing death wherever he could find it. His brother committed suicide, and it obviously has had an horrific impact on his psyche. His abuse of David Gergen shows a level of inconsiderate behavior and arrogance. if I were Gergen, I would be more than just annoyed.

The crazed braying of liberals on the Internet is so funny. They are muddled and befuddled about the tea parties and as always, sink to scatology (rarely facts, and never “true” facts). At the Phoenix tea party yesterday, I talked to many folks. Had a terrific time. Lots of little old grandmas who are “mad as hell and aren’t going to take it anymore.” Also talked to two registered Democrats who hung their heads in shame that they voted for Obama. After we talked, I think they now realize that Republicans are NOT the devil (Nancy Pelosi is) and that being conservative makes sense. Whatever. I had a terrific time (my very first protest!) and feel energized. But this is just the beginning… let freedom ring!
And Michelle, you’re an absolute inspiration. Thanks for all you do in your columns to bring us the truth and to promote the values of our founding fathers. I know you get a lot of crap from the Left, but you are loved and admired by many… it’s tough being you sometimes, I’m sure. Keep up the good work exposing the weasels in Washington!

I got here late and haven’t read all comments yet. Does anyone else wonder about the good congress critter’s tax filing status? Joint, Married filing seperately, what? Inquiring minds and the IRS might like to know!
I was out of town when I heard about the goings on. Of course, in Europe, none of this was mentioned by any news outlets (Fox is rare as hen’s teeth here). You can be absolutely certain that BBC never even thought about mentioning the protests. I found out because, while driving through northern Germany, I found a veeery scratchy AM signal with AFN playing Rush.
Don’t mean to be sexist here but, where I am from, we don’t talk about women that way – especially in public. Michelle, I would never advocate violence but anyone that talks that way about you needs an attitude adjustment..
All of that said, basic psychology tells us that people tend to be more aggressive toward something or someone they are afraid of. Remember the way they attacked Mrs. Palin? It’s because she scared them – think about it, a politician that looks and talks like 40% of the populace – it might have shown how out of touch the Dems are with the real world – so they go on the offensive. Well, Tea Parties show that a significant part of the population disagrees with the Left Wing Agenda. THAT scares the he!! out of the Liberals – especially the MSM. So, they attack – using the most effective tool they have – willing accomplices with a worldwide forum.
Every time some left wing group has more than 10 people show up, it makes the worldwide press as an act of civil defiance. The camera angle is played with so that 10 appears to be 10,000. However, let anyone who disagrees with the left show up with a quarter million and the MSM dismisses it as “put on by Fox”?? Further showing the disrespect the MSM have for Americans and the fear all Lefties have of an organized Conservative movement.
I’m just ammused by the MSM’s attempts to down play the tea parties. Pelosi’s response demonstrated how clueless she is regarding what the public wants. If anyone is an elitist, it is those who think they don’t have to listen to the public who employes them. All are exposing the truth about themselves. There’s really no point in supporting a media which wants to tell us how to think while insulting the collective intellegence of those who attended the tea parties.

I tuned in to msnbc last night for about 30 seconds just in time to see their ad for their evening line-up. They had pictures of all of the idiots on the screen, and a sorrier lot I have never seen. Chris (The Spitter) Matthews, Rachel (male/female) Maddow, Keith (potty mouth)Oberdope, Ed (dirtbag)Schultz and one more…I can’t remember. All I could think of was how good those pictures would look hanging in a Post Office with a Wanted sign underneath. The thought of actually sitting and watching one of those shows gives me a real creepy feeling in my gut, like I’m about to lose the contents of my stomach. When I tune into FOX News, it is like sitting down with old friends who I am very comfortable with. There are a LOT of us who feel that way, and that is why they have better ratings than all the other news programs COMBINED…in all the time slots. Thank God we have one station with a little balance.
There are no better looking women in the news rooms than those at FOX (very comfortable on the eyes). All others look like back-room scientific experiments gone really bad.
Well I have no idea who this Matt guy is or where he comes from….I think I can live quite happily if I never find out . It is obvious that Michelle and Ann have given him a quite a fright. There is alot more to Matt Taibbi that should be mentioned. Taibbi has an obsessive fixation with columnist Tom Friedman. His hatred of Mr. Friedman is so obsessive that Taibbi is sort of like an internet stalker. In his articles, Taibbi ridicules the home that Mr. Friedman lives in and ridicules the car that Mr. Friedman drives. His critiques of Mr. Friedman’s writings are so catty and b _ _ _ hy that it makes you wonder what is propelling this insanity by Taibbi. I am guessing that it is the fact that Mr. Friedman’s books have made Mr. Friedman a multimillionaire and all Mr. Taibbi can do is whine and pout about Mr. Friedman’s car and house. Mr. Taibbi would probably love to change places with Mr. Friedman, but Mr. Taibbi does not appear to have published a successful book himself. So his attacks on Michelle Malkin should be seen in context. Taibbi is a resentful man who thinks that Tom Friedman got what Mr. Taibbi feels should belong to Taibbi.
Taibbi makes nasty but catty insults about anyone who is more successful than he is (well, that is just about everybody).

I took a look at Smirking Chimp, and they are having trouble with their fund raiser, up at the top of the page, and they state, if they were Republicans they would be fully funded by now.
It is possible Matt Taibbi is using you for hits for their blog? Just sayin at the top you can see their fund raiser isn’t working out for them. If he attacks anyone high profile on the internet maybe they will get some financial support? I don’t buy most of what he writes it’s for his audience they like that sort of language.
