What is the difference between Anderson Cooper and Matt Taibbi?

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 16, 2009 04:36 PM

Content warning. Don’t read any further if you’ve just had a meal and want to keep it down, ok?

This is vulgarian Matt Taibbi:

I have to say, I’m really enjoying this whole teabag thing. It’s really inspiring some excellent daydreaming. For one thing, it’s brought together the words teabag and Michelle Malkin for me in a very powerful, thrilling sort of way. Not that I haven’t ever put those two concepts together before, but this is the first time it’s happened while in the process of reading her actual columns.

Previously Michelle Malkin’s writing was on the edge of unreadable; she’s sort of like Ann Coulter, only without that tiny fraction of P.T. Barnum/Mick Jagger-esque self-promotional flair that makes Coulter at least vaguely interesting. When you read Ann Coulter, you know you’re reading someone who would fuck a hippopotamus if she thought it would boost her Q rating. That’s a rare quality and it commands one’s attention.

Michelle Malkin doesn’t have that. She’s just a mean little dunce who’s wedged herself into a nicely paying career as a GOP spokesclown, and she’s going to ride that gig for as long as it keeps gas in her minivan.

And that’s fine, good for her. But that doesn’t make her readable. However, this move of hers to spearhead the teabag movement really adds an element to her writing that wasn’t there before. Now when I read her stuff, I imagine her narrating her text, book-on-tape style, with a big, hairy set of balls in her mouth. It vastly improves her prose.

This is internationally respected, award-winning CNN journalist Anderson Cooper indulging in the same stupid sexual “teabagging” innuendo with respected politico David Gergen:

What is the difference between Taibbi and Cooper?

Taibbi at least had the courage of his sexual predelictions not to hide coyly behind innuendo.

Anderson Cooper doesn’t have the ba…

Never mind.

Does internationally respected, award-winning CNN journalist Anderson Cooper feel any shame in the fact that he dragged David Gergen down with him to get in his cheap shot at hundreds of thousands of Tax Day Tea Party protesters?

250,000 Americans assemble peacefully to protest high taxes, massive spending, and endless bailouts, and all the liberal media can do for a week is recycle each other’s lame teabagging jokes on prime time TV?

Rep. Jan Schakowsky calls the Tea Party protesters “despicable.” But not a word about the disgusting sexual jokes aimed at Tea Party supporters.

Well, now:

The husband of an Illinois congresswoman pleaded guilty Wednesday to tax violations and bank fraud for writing rubber checks and failing to collect withholding tax from an employee.
Robert Creamer, a political consultant married to four-term U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, could face four years in prison on the two felony counts when he is sentenced Dec. 21.

Not only are all the “teabag” jokes lame and unfunny, when applied in this manner they are truly offensive. The fact that they feel the need to ridicule a quarter of a million people rallying across the nation, yet at the same time report breathlessly on a gathering of 30 anti-war protestors, speaks volumes about the crisis in journalistic integrity.

This is the profile that Taibbi has posted on his column:

    About Me

I’m a political reporter for Rolling Stone magazine, a sports columnist for Men’s Journal, and I also write books for a Random House imprint called Spiegel and Grau. My main ambition in life is to someday strangle that chick in the Progressive Insurance commercials who is always waving her hands back and forth and screaming, “Discount!!!” Anyone who has suggestions for how to dump her body without being caught is welcome to write to me. I already have plenty of plastic and a staple-gun

I guess it is safe to say that people know who the man that spins things in complete circles is.

Again, this is the mentality and the maturity level of the Left. This is the mentality and maturity that spearheaded the rise of Obama, that refused to allow any real questions and continues to block anyone to delve into Obama’s background, allows any and all papers and files on Obama to remain sealed and hidden from the public. This is the mentality and maturity of the people that regulate what the people of this country and even the world hear and read.

The thing that the Liberals and Left have NEVER learned is that when you mock people, you raise their ire. They would be able to carry out their plans and policies for decades were they to remain silent and treat the vocal opposition with respect. However, there was a large segment that remained home on election day, and has because they have failed to find a reason to come out to the polls.

With every chuckle, with every little snide remark, with every insult, they allow the opposition to find a reason, find a cause to come out of the woodwork next election to throw these spoiled little children out on their keisters.

It isn’t enough that these media folks at CNN and elsewhere are dropping out of the ratings faster than an asteroid hitting the atmosphere, they merely continue with their beliefs that the basic person in this country wants what they are dishing.

This was a very calculated and very large mistake on the part of the Left. Let them continue doing what they are doing, and watch the opposition grow, Wait until the next one, watch the number of people who are in attendance swell, especially once they see that it was not the same thing as going to one of their hippie hate-fests that usually get all the air play.

Once people see how organized, how peaceful these were, there will be more and more in attendance.

So let the children mock, it is only sealing their fate.

I have always been clear that this blog was merely a conduit for your voices. And I repeated that again this morning.

Hmm, you may just be a “conduit” now, but eventually if the Tea Party movement is to grow beyond a scatter-shot collection of protests and into a serious national political influence, it’s going to need well-recognizable leaders.

Like it or not, or want it or not Michelle, this means you.

It’s rather like what happened when that airliner crashed into the Potomac some years back: a group of survivors was struggling in the freezing water while a helicopter overhead lowered a rescue line. One man kept grabbing it and handing it off to someone else until all but him were saved.

He probably didn’t think of himself as a “leader,” but as a “conduit” instead — just like you. Yet is there any doubt that without his taking the initiative more would have perished fighting over the line?

Sometimes you don’t get to choose your destiny. Sometimes it chooses you. You can be as modest as you want, Michelle, but the inescapable fact is that without your leadership — yes, that’s what it is — the Tea Party movement would be smaller and less organized than it is.

Where it goes from here will also depend heavily on what you do, say and write. You cannot escape your destiny.

Schakowsky Calls Parties “Despicable’ and “Shameful”

CHICAGO, IL (April 15, 2009) – Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-IL, released the following statement in response to “tea parties” being held on Tax Day.

“The ‘tea parties’ being held today by groups of right-wing activists, and fueled by FOX News Channel, are an effort to mislead the public about the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans and creates 3.5 million jobs. It’s despicable that right-wing Republicans would attempt to cheapen a significant, honorable moment of American history with a shameful political stunt. Not a single American household or business will be taxed at a higher rate this year. Made to look like a grassroots uprising, this is an Obama bashing party promoted by corporate interests, as well as Republican lobbyists and politicians.”

How can we tell that this is having an effect on them and they are squirming in their little pants?

When this began, it was totally and completely ignored. When there were crowds of 15,000 or so in Fullerton, the L.A. Times claimed it was nothing and thus did not deserve even a blurb. We were stating how the media in general was not rporting on any of them. In fact, we were all fairly certain that yesterday would be, for the most part, ignored.

Then the Tax Day TEA Party happened. There were more people than most organizers hoped for. It was peaceful, organized and attended by both parties. Sure, there was not a noticable Liberal presence, but considering the fact that it is the Liberals who are claiming that high taxes and run-away spending by Der Fuhrer and the Congress is needed and good, can anyone say they really expected them to be there in any other form than some childish tantrum throwing of a counter protest?

So the numbers were finally large enough that the media could not ignore it. However, considering the fact that the MSM is nothing more than the TotUS’s bastard third cousin twice removed, and is Der Fuhrer’s personal mouth piece, was anyone expecting that they would report things the way they actually happened? Was anyone really expecting for any of these Liberals on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC or especially CBS to come out in favor of what the primary message of the rallies was?

I surely hope not, for if anyone did, they are only fooling themselves into believing the Left wants something other than a Socialist country in the next two years, and that they are actually open and non-biased.

So, since they could not truthfully report the activities with a non-biased fashion, they did what they always do:

Ridicule, belittle, demean and do everything they could to dispairage those that not only attended and supported them, but try to discourage anyone from getting involved in the future.

The CNN report and comments alone was nothing more than proof of this fact. For them to pretend such outrage that someone would call Obama a “fascist” or anything else, while completely falling silent on everything that the Liberals did and said about President Bush for 8 years has got to be the biggest example yet of the hypocrisy permeating the media in general. All one need do is perform a Google Images search for any anti-Bush protests, rallies, statements, DU, Kos, HuffPoo and you will see PLENTY of examples of what this woman claimed was disgusting and not for family viewing.

Well of course not. We need to remember that ultimately we are attacking two things:

Their false god and saviour who is implementing all these things and taking us headlong down the path to Socialism/Marxism and

The very tenets of Liberalism itself.

They will not sit there and just let it happen. They have been doing too much too fast, and people are not going to stand for it, and neither will the Liberals and their mouth-pieces in the media. Sure, they are acting like spoiled little children, but that is just how they always act. The ignored, now they belittle, demean and make it appear insignificant.

The next step in their playbook is far worse. This is when they go into attack mode, so be ready. While yesterday’s events were pretty much without any of the threatened counter-protests or infiltrators, you can be damn certain that the next ones will be, and that the MSM will be there, cameras rolling and talking heads spewing, to delve ever deeper into the cess pool that is Lib-Think.

It is working…that is what this is showing, and they are terrified of it growing bigger…which it will with every stroke of Der Fuhrer’s pen.
