If obama is so concerned about torture, he would be asking what the hell happened to the political opposition in Venezuela or reporters in Iran.

This is perhaps one of those questions that answers themselves. In a democracy, the electorate gets the government they deserve and unfortunately huge segments of the populace loath America, have no identification with it or what made it possible, and look for any external power to liberate themselves from it. Obama is their messiah, their only allegiance is to the Democrat Party. The kindest thing that can be said about Obama is that he may only be the Lenin warm-up prior to the Stalin to come.

There is no dealing with these people, no possibility of compromise, no hope of reconciliation. They desperately (note the venom and contempt of the trolls who visit this site) desire the purging socialism of national transformation, not the weak-kneed welfare states of what remains of Europe before it becomes Islamic, but the socialism of Hitler, Stalin, and Mao. The real thing.

Thus, it is them or us. If we recognize the reality of this fact in full, and are prepared to fight regardless of the cost to ourselves, there is a chance sacred American will be saved. Otherwise, it’s the boneyard. That’s what history says about transformative socialism.

On a lighter note, it is possible that Obama wasn’t bowing to the “king,” but merely mooning the rest of us. I am open to the objection he was doing both.
