amen rumba, the problem is today, nobody knows what Congress does. The Democrats seem to really take advantage of this. Whenever anybody starts going on about Clinton, I try to tell them that Clinton’s good points were what he took credit for from what Congress did. People also don’t understand when they bring up the recession when I say, this all started in 2006. That was when the economy started going into the crapper. They will agree with me, then I ask, what happened in 2006, they have no idea. Useful idiots.

Your first posting isn’t well thought through and is historically inaccurate.
- Clinton did not do away with the deficit. A Republican congress worked with his administration to come up with budgets that did not contain deficit spending. The original debt was not reduced and remains to this day. (Congress controls the money – ask anyone in the Civil Service – Executive Branch – and they will tell you it’s the only reason Congress is important).
- Bush had a war to fight (no you fool, he didn’t start it, they did). War is expensive. Aside from the war, revenue intake actually increased during Bush’s tenure. Keeping your butt safe caused the deficit.
When the wole world wanted us to roll over and give in to Facism, Bush said no. Within 3 months of taking Office, Obama embraces the greatest human rights violators in the world today.
But you Left Wing idiots are all for violating human rights, aren’t you? I mean, really, that’s who you support. Since 1917, 30 million people were murdered in the name of Communism (not counting actual deaths in time of war) – but hey, to you Lefties, The Communists are the good guys. Right?

I once was a fan of Janeane Garafalo and posted on a message board devoted to her. My wife and I attended a TEA Party, and we took her insults personally. I quit and some one e mailed me that the message board is lit up with angry messages. The lady who wrote me thinks that woman went too far this time. At least I take comfort in that.

A few items of clarification.
Clinton’s own budget proposals showed $200B annual deficits as far as the eye could see. (10 years plus). It was not until 1995 (GOP take over) that the budget began to trend towards surpluses. However in reality there were no surpluses either because the debt increased every year through his two terms.
As far as G W Bush is concerned. He did have a few difficulties to work with during his two terms. 9/11 cost many many billions of dollars in recovery costs, and the resulting recession created unexpected deficits. Then came the actual war which Democrats complained took too long to initiate from the time of 9/11.
And of there was Katrina, which was the single largest rescue operation in the history of the United States. An operation where more than 35,000 people were rescued from roof tops by helicopter and boat. It was not a failure. It was a huge success. Again the cost of this and the recovery exceeded $50B or much more.
Bush also promoted and had passed the Medicare prescription coverage, which has been panned by many, but it has reduced the rate of increase of the overall Medicare program. Check the numbers.

I’ve shown your posts to some fellow officers, some conservative, and they wonder why I’m bothering with you, since you’re lost and just speak in cliches. I guess I just want to vent, because you are a total waste at this point.
You have no point. You can’t give a single example of anything I’ve “made up”. You just can’t handle the fact that you’re being challenged and you’re lazy-minded. You don’t think problems in government have anything to do with elections and politics. You look stupid. How do you think people get in office? How do you think policies get in place? Are you trying to tell me that you have no candidates to offer that may support your ideology?
God forbid one become a community organizer and gather support for a cause, huh? How do you plan to solve a perceived political problem while denying the fact that political solutions are in order. Since you have no answers, just give it up. Repeating that you are upset with the government, and think that secession talk helps your cause is petulant B.S. What do you plan to do about it, if not find and get behind candidates that support your cause? This is all about politics, genius. You haven’t offered any real solutions. You just talk in esoteric generalities about how fed up you are, and invent positions to argue against.
I’ve dumbed my point down to the 2nd grade level, but if that isn’t enough to help you get it, you aren’t going to get it without further help.

What am I supposed to respond to, your attempt at an internet flamespray? Insults and a lack of substance? Blanket assessments, erroneous assumptions and fabrications about who I am and what I support/condone?
You said it yourself, it was a vent. Most of it was internet bravado under the (ironic) guise of staying “real” and you still don’t understand what the feck I’m talking about.

There’s plenty of substance to respond to. You don’t, because you have nothing to offer. Psychobabble critiques of me or my posts just show that your chamber is empty. I’ve presented some clear questions, and I’ve proposed solutions. Yet, you rather type in generalalities, and invent arguments about “why should I choose a side, NEITHER stand for me”, as though there are only two sides.
I’m quite old enough to argue a position and make clear obvious points. You can go back in your posts and find some of the insults you flung my way, but I look past that to search for some points. But the points are not there. Just misdirection and cliches are all you’re about. Luckily for you, more intelligent and nuanced people than you are fighting for your cause to make things interesting in the coming years. Just sit this one out and do what what you’re told. I would say don’t try to come up with any ideas, but you already have that covered.
