Obama’s We Suck ’09 Tour

By Michelle Malkin  •  April 20, 2009 08:51 AM

Ed Morrissey at Hot Air has been tracking President Obama’s grovel tour and pitches a perfect idea for a T-shirt design contest after watching him bow and scrape to the dictators in Latin America:

Once again, we have the new President embarking on the “We Suck ‘09″ tour, kicked off in Europe, where he felt the need to apologize for the last administration’s efforts to defend America’s interests on the international stage. Obama likes to call this “smart power” and tells us we’ll get more by appearing humble than by pursuing our interests in the normal fashion. So far, the rest of the world has applauded Obama’s performance — and gone on to reject our requests for economic cooperation, combat troops for Afghanistan, partnership with Russia against Iran, and North Korean continuation of the six-party nuclear disarmament talks without launching long-range missiles over Japan.

Buy the T-shirt for the tour, folks, but don’t be too unhappy if they run out. It looks like we’ll have a “We Suck” tour in 2010, 2011, and 2012, too.

We’re thinking a cartoon of Obama bowing to King Abdullah on the front, and a list of cities in Europe and Latin America Obama has visited on the back. Send your ideas/graphics to tips@hotair.com!

Forgot to mention, I wrote to the President for the first time. I asked that he talk to his wife about being proud in our country for the first time and suggest he maybe adopt that attitude and project that image in his speeches for the future.

I wonder if I will get flagged by the Secret Service or DHS now as a rightwing extremist because of it. :-)

Obama also said the U.S. must engage other countries through humanitarian gestures, not only military intervention.

Not only military intervention?! What other country in the world has provided even half as much humanitarian aid in the past century as ours has? Money for the poor all around the world, care packages, people going to serve in other countries that need help, the tsunami aid, rebuilding countries after a war, and rescuing refugees. This has all been provided through private citizens, and oh yeah, our military. This remark by the president was very offensive to me.

Remember, this is the president who so generously gave $50,000 for earthquake relief in Italy a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, days after the tsunamis in 2004, the US had given $35 million in aid to victims.

Not to mention corporations that donated millions. And millions from religious groups.

The message is clear: if it doesn’t come from government, it doesn’t count to Obama.

Yes, let’s base our foreign policy on a self-help book!

Here’s a hint, lgm: that only works when both sides are rational and open to diplomacy. Do you think Iran is? Venezuela? The Taliban? North Korea? Russia?

They all – vocally – have said the same thing: they want to see America fall.

And you just hope they like us as we do it. Good gravy.

As for the UK, in 10 years, London will cease to be a place where you and I can travel safely; Europe is liberalizing itself out of existence, capitulating to Muslim immigrants who have about double the children of native Europeans. So I wouldn’t base any measure of decent foreign policy on a continent that’s PC-ing itself to death.

There are a certain number of things on which he has no position. And he is not always up to standard on decision-making and efficiency.”

How to Win Friends and Influence People is an excellent read: I have no hope of influencing Socialist and most certainly don’t want them as friends. Dale Carnegie did not get a Fedzilla grant to write it so someone would not be interested. He is too busy being an arrogant a$$***e at all time.

President Obama (PBUH) continues destroying the U.S.A. as he changes it into his dream U.S.S.A. Just like I have expected after 2 years of listening to his unedited T.V. video clips and studying his background, mentors, and votes in the Illinois and U.S. Senate.
    ***
He is right on track with his agenda. Meeting with his “birds of a feather” socialist / marxist / communist dictator friends–he likes the work they are doing in their fiefdoms.
    ***
The Russian, Chinese, Castro brothers, North Korean, Vietnam, Argentinian, Iranian, etc. DICTATORSHIPS are probably next appeasement tour stops as he does his NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN / JIMMY CARTER II tricks.
    ***
The enemies of our country are licking their chops and planning their dream takeovers of their democratic neighbors and their resources. They know weakness and fear when they see it.
    ***
Any of our real friends in the world (Canada, Britain, Australia, Israel, Colombia, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Poland, Hungrary, Ukraine, etc.) should be shaking in their boots as they see how they will be thrown to the wolves when the S**T hits the fan as the Obama appeasement bears fruit.
    ***
Any of our so-called (not) friends like Germany, France, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Spain, etc. should realize that they are next. I think that WW3 may be on the horizon–when a future U. S. President is forced to fight it after we start losing our cities to nukes.
    ***
May God protect and preserve the new U.S.S.A.–President Obama will not. I would hate to be in the U.S. Military in the future U.S.S.A. under this clown–he will make Presidents Lyndon Johnson (RIP) and Jimmuh Carter (still trashing America) look like Winston Churchill.

Does anyone have any actual video of Pres Obama saying, “I am sorry” or “I apologize”, because nothing I have heard thus far is an actual mea culpa?

Stating what we did and/or past policies does not amount to an apology.

It’s not quite the “We Suck” tour. More aptly, it’s the,

“We sucked under George Bush, but I’m no George Bush” tour.

Such a theme in perfect keeping with Hope-a-Dope’s demonstrated pattern of ditching responsibilities in favor of more “Let’s play pretend-President” opportunities: he can’t have as much play-time and party-time if people somehow expect him to, you know, actually lead.

There’s a reason for why “humility” and “humiliation” are so close together. The following was said by a foreign government official of Bill Clinton shortly after he became president:

“When George Bush spoke, you felt America’s power. When Clinton talks, it’s more like being back in college, where everything is up for negotiation and debate.”

It’s no different today with Jimmy Carter in blackface.

Kowtowing before foreigners makes perfect sense if you’ve just climbed out of the “diversity” stew: for just as it holds that all cultures are equally good except America’s, which is uniquely bad, what Hope-a-Dope is saying is that only when America practices it does acting in the national interest become a bad thing.

In the days after 9/11, I remember waking up every morning asking myself, “Will the news tell me that we’ve been attacked again?”

Today, I wake up and ask, “Has Hope-a-Dope given away the whole store yet, or is he still working on it?”

    “Apology tour.” I spit. Hope-a-Dope’s sorry, alright….

I am sure that Hitler might well be equally apologetic for any “unnecessary collateral damage” resulting from the application of his policies between 1933 and 1945. The major issues is what he would consider “unnecessary collateral damage…”

You have all heard some variation of the following conversation:

Child: (to another child) You’re stupid!
Parent: You can’t say that. It isn’t polite. Apologize for calling him stupid!
Child: Okay, I’m sorry you’re stupid.

You have to parse the statements. Obama and his ilk are the masters of “doubletalk.”

At some point, Obama needs to take a hiatus from this racialist identification, and, like a Sec. Condoleezza Rice, transcend race, let achievements and policies speak for themselves, and thus rise or fall on the content of his own character.

The only problem is that BHO would fail the “content of his character” test and everybody knows it. That is why he can’t let go of the “race card.”

Here’s the first in a long string of lies that THE ONE is getting away with…

The U.S. needs to begin a dialog with all nations…

The truth is that a dialog is on-going at all times, with all nations, at various levels…

usually dependent on how they behave.

What THE ONE is pretending is that he’s bigger than all his predecessors (because, of course, Clinton didn’t meet with thugs without conditions).

The truth is that he’s simply VASTLY more narcissistic than his predecessors (a damn good trick!), and is willing to subvert the interests of our nation to feed his ego.

The pre-conditions ALL his predecessors imposed had a purpose. It was an incentive, as world leaders do value any face time with the leader of the free world.

It’s just that quite a few don’t deserve it.

He’s too ignorant to understand reality. His TV broadcast to the people of Iran…???? More people on Long Island heard it than in Iran, which jams TV signals.

    Duh…
