Right said. Some years back the State Government in Western Australia decided they were going to have a little audit of the welfare rolls. Almost overnight, 20,000 people dropped from the public payroll. This is in a small (population-wise, not in geography) state with 2 million people (probably 1.8 million at the time).

The problem there chief, is that no politician will ever pass a term limits law. And when it happens at the state level, it’s all to often challenged in the courts.

Term limits, if we could ever obtain them, would be an excellent start. I would also go for an amendment that said all bills passed must be “clean” bills. Another than put an 8 year sunset clause on all bills except tax cuts.

But again, no politician is going to go for anything that would limit their power and force them into the daylight. They have already shown repeatedly they don’t give a d@mn what the people think.

Working on it. Already cutting back on income. Considering a job move that would cut my yearly income by a little more than a third. It will make things very tight since my wife is a stay at home mom. But it would be worth it since the decreased pay comes with a significant increase in time with my wife and kids.

The other problem is rotating pols. When they are termed out of one office, where term limits exist, they seek out another.

A service limit has to go along with term limits. Otherwise we have insufferable people graduating from local to county to state to federal offce. One can still serve 20 or more years holding various offices.

Legal corruption is that state in which you find the carcass by the road, a few days after the fatal event.

It’s actually a healthy, normal process in nature.

That illegal corruption…that stuff is really vile, unnatural, and without redeeming quality.

Why did I just get a visual image of Bwany Frank-lover….?

I do believe that is actually the mantra of lefties, particularly the anarchist types. Now the liberal jackbooted thugs type liberals want more police, so they can persecute “radicalized” conservatives etc.

Love the idea of a tax revolt, but the question is does odumbo have enough cabinet positions for all of us? Seriously, whenever us peons get crossways of the IRS in any way, its jail time and confiscate your firstborn (and everything else you will own for the next umpteen years).

Impossible to lock up everyone if it goes into the tens and hundreds of thousands that do it. Of course they would lock a few up to set an example, but this would open their eyes a bit I think.

At least this would probably cause legislation to change the tax code.

    I won’t tell anybody that can’t happen.

I can only tell you that people do it every year, for less pure motives. I represent some of them who have done it for years at a time. They are never charged with a crime. Often, under the right circumstances, they can discharge their IRS obligations…in part or completely…in bankruptcy. Other times, they settle for pennies on the dollar.

The IRS has us (American citizens) buffaloed. They are not what the mythology makes them.

And the system…top to bottom…could never handle a popular tax revolt.

And it would be VERY popular…

especially after it got going, supported by a relative few with gumption.
