I can only tell you that people do it every year, for less pure motives. I represent some of them who have done it for years at a time. They are never charged with a crime. Often, under the right circumstances, they can discharge their IRS obligations…in part or completely…in bankruptcy. Other times, they settle for pennies on the dollar.

The IRS has us (American citizens) buffaloed. They are not what the mythology makes them.

And the system…top to bottom…could never handle a popular tax revolt.

And it would be VERY popular…

especially after it got going, supported by a relative few with gumption.

Love the idea of a tax revolt, but the question is does odumbo have enough cabinet positions for all of us? Seriously, whenever us peons get crossways of the IRS in any way, its jail time and confiscate your firstborn (and everything else you will own for the next umpteen years).

At least this would probably cause legislation to change the tax code.
