Is it legal for a 75-year-old man to ask a teenager to describe his sex life with another teenager? Larry King did his best impression of that creepy guy who used to hang around the malt shop when you were a kid by prying for some intimate details about the conception of Sarah Palin’s grandchild during an interview with Brisol Palin’s ex-boyfriend Levi Johnston.

I vaguely remember Bill O’Reilly doing something similar with one of his guests. Getting entirely too intrusive. Even late night talk show hosts, have asked child stars about thier private social lives. Maybe not quite so graphic a question, but squirm inducing nonetheless.
Could it be part of the talking heads playbook?

I view this as an opportunity for abstinence-based education. Levi and Bristol’s sex life has become a topic of conversation on the national news. This is something a condom can’t prevent or protect you from.
She’s off the radar, so I could care less if she lied about her daughter’s sex life. She was proven to be less than honest about her feelings about the “bridge to nowhere”. We know the woman is capable of being dishonet, but so is Obama and any and all politicians.
Levi goes on these shows on his own free will. He and his family know what they’re doing. I bet it all that he’ll have a reality show by the fall. AZNeanderthal and others who seem to delight in vulgarity- I know I’m dreaming here, but I miss the days when men would withold from vulgarity when ladies are present. There are even men who refuse to be vulgar around each other.
But with equality and all, many women are just as vulgar. Does vulgarity really improve life and society? Does it lead to more respect or does is further the decay?
Personally, I feel that the acceptance of vulgarity in general in our society is what has led people like Perez Hilton to feel free to say what he did to Miss California. It is also what led Larry King to feel it was okay to question this boy the way he did. Our acceptance and participation in vulgarity is what gives permission to all of the vulgar to be vulgar.
