Getting a Tea Party, a one-time event, together is easy, compared to the effort it takes to homeschool. But I ask, which is more rewarding, a Tea Party or children raised and trained in a way of your liking?

Today, I’m off to “community hours” that Congressman Moore holds. He has these face to face “townhalls” which frustrates everyone. He refuses to have a normal townhall where we can participate as a group. BUT, it sounds like many will attend and demonstrate outside of the planned location. Should be fun!

Good point. I think once you get away from Pelosi and her army of loony leftists, the adults realized that it was a terrible precedent to set. What would have happened to Truman had Ike used Truman’s unpopularity to form a political lynch mob?

The left flatters itself that it represents the popular majority. Then why are they on the wrong side of what is shaping up to be the biggest grassroots movement of all time? That is why we are going to win.

The reason the Republicans claim their budget is better: lower debt and deficits than Obama’s budget. Not lower debt and deficits, just lower debt and deficits than Obama’s budget. This budget alternative that is no alternative still calls for $500-billion annual deficits through 2019.

The Fairfax County Times said “The board’s three Republican supervisors praised the budget as restoring fiscal responsibility to the county and said they hope to do more to reduce tax bills next year.”

Fairfax County cut 2/3 of 1 percent (0.006757%) from the budget and the GOP claims this is “restoring fiscal responsibility to the county…”

Of course Fairfax County gave the GOP the wunderkind Tom Davis and his wife Jeanne Marie Devolites Davis so at least the Fairfax GOP is consistent when it comes to fiscal insanity.

No, “we” don’t. “We” used to be perfectly capable of doing those things ourselves. Then NAFTA sent the jobs overseas and President Bush proclaimed we were going to become a service economy. So, as people moved into the service economy the price of service labor declined and it became affordable for the middle class to hire help for mundane, middle class tasks.

It’s a tool of corporate America, and it prevents wages from rising as fast as inflation. Wages were starting to rise in the late ’90’s, then suddenly the immigrant population illegally exploded.

But a TEA Party, of itself, is nothing but a statement. The impetus behind them has to be focused on doing something effective, not simply saying you’re fed up.

1,000 cases reported and 64 dead. The dead are in an age group that normally fights off the flu well.

In the evenings, I spend deprogramming her, but I tell her that its possible I am wrong. But SHE needs to know both sides of the argument to make her own decision.

Shielding kids from sex, drugs, liberals, conservatives, etc. doesnt really work. They might as well be exposed to everything in a ’structured’ environment. Structured meaning you can control/explain it, not have a drug orgy in the living room.

Several of my childhood female friends who were bible-thumping Southern Baptist teenagers are now pot-smoking liberals, prescription drug overusing suburban moms, bar-hopping party girls. Others who were considered teenage “sluts” or party-girls are now Christian centric responsible moms. So there’s no perfect path to adult-hood.

(but my daughter gets mostly A’s so I might tend to believe her about the test… then again, magically she has transformed into Daddy’s perfect angel in the last 15 minutes. (sucker….))

Tax the people who have a funded pension/ 401/IRA and or personal savings to support the people bargained for a non funded pension. When George Romney at American Motors agreed to the UAW Benefits package actuaries became alarmed yesterday. Ford, Chrysler and GM all fell into line. That Benefits package depended on a 2-4% growth in auto sales FOR EVER. Some societies would consider that agreement a murder-suicide pack.

Government guarantees of unfunded employer based pensions is becoming the next great Social Security type boondoggle. Hence we see the Obama’s NEED for grabing 401s and IRAs and rolling them into Social Security.

And this is a sterling example of more fascist economic policy at work.

Fascist economics sought to take all the “contention” out of labor relations by co-opting both business and organized labor into a corporatist structure controlled by bureaucrats. Big business and big labor both had representation.

Entrepreneurs did not, and were not tolerated. The resources of the fascist state, including labor, were allocated by government, and there was no room for individuals wishing to compete in the market.

Answer: The Communist Party USA completely controls the Democratic Party, and has significant influence in the Republican Party through people like John McCain.

    Emphasis mine

The common struggle against capitalist globalization has ushered in an advanced phase of working unity between the labor movement, the environmental movement, the student movement, and others. Shifts in labor’s immigration policy have allowed a new level of unity with immigrant rights organizations…

At all strategic stages of struggle from the present to the construction of socialism, the working class is the most important and consistent class and the only one whose interests are entirely on the side of progress and socialism. That does not mean that at every moment, in every struggle, it will in fact be the leader. But the working class will tend more and more to become the leader of struggles for progress and socialism.

Mexican Americans together with African Americans are the two largest nationally oppressed peoples in the U.S., with Mexican Americans being one of the fastest growing sections of the population. The Mexican American population is concentrated in the U.S. Southwest, land that was originally stolen from Mexico, with U.S. domination being imposed on the many Native American and Mexican American people living in those areas.

Mexican Americans have played an important in U.S. history, from resistance to U.S. imperialist annexation to struggles for full civil rights for immigrants, from resistance to cultural domination to the struggle for a holiday honoring Caesar Chavez and his ground-breaking example in organizing farmworkers, and from community battles for bilingual education to struggles for voting rights and full participation in the electoral process, among many others.

Mexican Americans mainly vote Democratic and have a major and growing impact on national elections. They have emerged as perhaps the most decisive group of voters in California and the southwestern states. Nationally, there are thousands of Mexican Americans holding public office, most elected as Democrats. The Mexican American people are overwhelmingly working-class and are a major force in the trade union movement nationally. There are also many large national, regional, and local mass organizations among the Mexican American people that have a big impact on the U.S. political scene, especially with the increase in the Mexican and Mexican American population all over the country.

    - From the Program of the Communist Party USA

Note that “Yes We Can!” is merely the English translation of “¡Sí Se Puede!”, which was originated by Alinsky radical Caesar Chavez.

“Yes, We Can!” –> “¡Sí se puede!” –> Alinsky Radicals –> Lucifer

For everyone who blames the Dems for the Immigration problem – hate to tell you but it is a two edged sword.

    A. The 90’s were not when the problem started. The “problem” started in 1986 when Reagan signed IRCA in to law (the first Amnesty). Many will argue that he was tricked!! BS. He signed it.

NAFTA actually regulated the amount of Mexicans coning to the US by granting specific ones with skill at temporary work visa that did not lead to a green card. NAFTA did, on the other hand, allow unskilled Canadians to flood the US to do jobs such as mowing lawns. Under the “Science” clause of NAFTA, a US employer can write a “certificate” with crayon on a piece of toilet paper and that is all the qualification a Canadian needs to legally work as a “Landscaper” in the USA. Happens every day.

    B. Clinton signed the toughest Immigration enforcement act since 1956 in 1996 (IRIRA). Of course, the Clintonistas immediately watered it down to nothing but, nonetheless, he signed it.

    C. Bush, on the other hand, tried to get Amnesties pushed thought in 2001 and 2007. The first stopped by Islamic Terrorists and the second by We the People.

The fact is that Politicians will buy votes from whoever will give it to them. I’ve been an Immigration Officer 20 years and I’ve been stuck in parking lots “legalizing” criminals, raided safe houses, made deserving people US citizens and stopped a whole load of illegals at the border. I know what I am talking about. Since Carter left office, Democrats have done more for Immigration Enforcement than Republicans.

The only way to do something about it is two tiered: A. Stop the demand and B. Fix Mexico’s corrupt culture. As long as Mexicans will work for 1/2 the wages and no benefits, they will always have jobs waiting in the USA. As for fixing the culture – probably not going to happen in our lifetime.

The fact is that the last three Republican Presidents supported illegal immigration. No one seemed to give a darn about any of it until the mid ’90’s and by then it was too late.

Want to really do something about it? Tax all overseas money transfers at least 5% and use that money to fund Immigration Enforcement.
