This duplicity exposed here has been obvious to any rational thinking adult for years. And so I again ask, why do people think they can rationally argue with these folks? It’s very plain to see that these opponents aren’t interested in logic or truth. But they have gained control and power over the lives of most of the U.S. population.
Arguing in essays, journalistic articles, and blogs certainly isn’t changing the political landscape, or the creeping (turning quickly to rampant) socialism that is infecting every person’s daily lives and finances. Non-payment of taxes is a step, but too little, too late.
I submit that the time for talk is rapidly coming to a close, and the time for insurrection is nigh.
Why we should worry:
1. Hate is a relative term. As we can see in recent events, not liking or casting disproval upon someone else’s heritage or lifestyle will cause you to be branded a racist or a homophobe or…
2. Of course, this is perpetuated by the MSM and fuels the fire.
3. Millions of parents prefer the more responsive governance of local school boards to edicts passed down from Washington.
4. As I recall, the entire U.S. Constitution was setup to allow the federal government its authority which may not supercede the States’ rights or the rights of the citizen.
5. Since we have an executive branch, a legislative branch, and nearly half of the judicial branch of the federal government that view the Constitution as a piece of toilet paper (use and discard as covenience allows), we will continue to lose this battle to the Beltway denizens.
6. “Dissention is patriotic” only applies to people in favor of the strong central government.
7. Not all of those seeking to consolidate power from the states and the citizenry have a “D” after their name.
8. This is not merely a left vs. right issue, but rather a “we in power” vs. “everyone else outside D.C.” struggle. The narcotic of power has twisted these people’s minds so they no longer care about anything but their own political hides.
The are lots of solutions: some radical, some with less “oomph”, but they should be started immediately at a low level that shows a strong groundswell:
1. Vote out ALL incumbents and ensure to get interviewed at the exit polls. Your claim should be that you want a responsive government that is beholden to its citizenry.
2. Start economic warfare on the owners of the MSM. Not like we have a lot of disposible income at this time, but write a letter to GE and tell them that when contemplating what stove to buy, you thought of the contempt that Olbermann or Matthews shows the average citizen, so you bought a Whirlpool instead.
3. Pay attention to local government and make sure the feds are not enticing their behavior with grants and favors.
4. Be watchful of power grabs and shine the light wherever possible. Cockroaches hate the light. Stay engaged and encourage others to become vigilant.
This nutty deranged woman is swimming in dangerous waters. She is overtly characterizing the majority beliefs of conservatives as “extremism”.. It is akin to a Repub administration releasing a memo on domestic extremists who are characterized as people with “an avid belief in Federal government authority over States rights:, unrestricted abortion, and the rights of homosexuals to marry”. Had Bush’s DHS released such a memo, it would have been accused (rightfully) of fascism.
The Democratic party is no longer just the opposition party, they are the enemy of freedom in this Country, the enemy to Republicans/Conservatives. People need to wake up to that realization, that right before their eyes their beliefs are being “criminalized” by insane and deranged ideologues in this administration.
You would dare to speak of the Holiest of Holy Sites?
After all, in a speech Barack Obama gave in Selma, AL on March 4, 2007, he said the following:
“This young man named Barack Obama got one of those tickets and came over to this country. He met this woman whose great great-great-great-grandfather had owned slaves; but she had a good idea there was some craziness going on because they looked at each other and they decided that we know that the world as it has been it might not be possible for us to get together and have a child. There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born. So don’t tell me I don’t have a claim on Selma, Alabama. Don’t tell me I’m not coming home to Selma, Alabama.”
Those marches in Alabama took place in March of 1965. Barack Obama Jr. was born on August 4, 1961. So, because of what happened in Selma in 1965, President Obama’s parents met, which led to his birth in 1961. This is as miraculous as Jesus’ immaculate conception.
Anyone who denies the time travel phenomenon necessary for President Obama’s account of his Holy Conception surely qualifies as an extremist.
There is no imagining, LGM because people are innocent until proven guilty. Surely, your great liberal “education” must have at least gotten that across to you even with all of the pro-communist material you’ve obviously been exposed to.

While I agree that the political winds that are blowing are getting dangerous and leading to growing resentment and possible violence, I respectfully disagree on the usefulness of forums like this.
I think we need to engage on many fronts; as many fronts as we can think of. I also submit that there are many who visit sites such as this one to read the posts. I did before I became a poster myself.

I diligently managed my own blog for more than two years and can assure everyone that essays, journalistic articles and blogs are very useful. I was frequently surprised at who found and read my blog, sometimes linking to it themselves. And you never know whether something you said or wrote influenced someone who does it for a living to say it better elsewhere and to a broader audience. It’s not necessarily how much traffic you attract but who that traffic is and the networking that goes on.
What I recommend is for commentors and bloggers to be constructive. The people who count are those who are honestly engaged in studying and recommending practical solutions. Constant whining about the hopelessness of our plight or calls to armed resurrection might trigger spirited threads but the people who are committed to making a difference leave. So what’s the point?
We are all looking at the same ink blot. Those who see nothing but imminent failure are contributing greatly to that failure. To them I recommend: go away! We don’t need to be constantly reminded that the house is on fire. Help us or go away.
I guess I shouldn’t put my feet up on the furniture. Michelle really hates that. But she really should tell us where she hides the coasters. Who brings their own coasters?
Violent sects would already be criminal per “violence”. My answer to that would be yet another question: WHO controls the information that is released in America? Even if it is released through other sources, you can be sure that 95% of them in the US will shrug off the “claimed credit” by the Islamists by the “proof” that they have at their disposal.
Regardless of what happens, this administration definitely has the propensity to use a “crisis” as the pretext in order to claim the “right” to crush their opponents, and we also know that the vast majority of the “media” and ALL of the leftists will fall in line with whatever the Obama administration does.
All they will have to do is claim something as a pretext to act, and they’ll do so with impunity. Who will be able to stop them?

One element that is sort of missing in this discussion is the fact that leftist believe that HUMAN BEINGS are a blight upon the Earth, and that its population must be controlled in order for the survival of “the planet.”
Therefore, I can assure you that the elimination of large portions of US are in the works by the eco-Nazis. They are making lists of people who must be eradicated, including political enemies, religious enemies, people of ANY propensity towards individual thought and action outside the mindless collective, and even large numbers of their own who are not sufficiently in line with their agenda to be counted as those chosen to live in a perfect human collective.
Naturally, those directing the path of the leftist drones will survive this purge of humanity, as well as their direct underlings (Obama being one of these will be assured that he and his progeny will live in this Utopian wonderland). However, billions upon billions of people MUST be gotten rid of for the “collective good.” This is what they believe. This is what we are up against.

It is no accident that at a time when the effective borrowing rate for banks is -5%, yes I did say minus, they are very reluctant to lend money. Why should they? Collateral means nothing when contracts are no longer backed by our courts unless they further a political need. So why would anyone sign a contract anymore if it doesn’t have the rule of law behind it?

Obama didn’t win. His bluff was called by the “evil” hedge funds who were merely defending everyone’s constitutional rights. That was the same point that caused Bank of American’s Ken Lewis trouble with his shareholders. He should have fulfilled his fiduciary duty to the shareholders and found the spine to stand up to Paulson. It was an important battle that never took place. Lewis surrendered without a fight.

Jeff…I always felt very strongly that the Iraq/Al Qaida connection was there. I think Bush knew it for a fact, but for some reason was not able to articulate those facts very well to the American people. He was a decent man, but just didn’t get the message out effectively. Of course, the MSM never gave him the chance. And the liberals did everything they could to obscure his message with the “Bush lied, people died” rants. Another reason why I despise the radical left and brand them all as traitors.

I went to the huff po site a few days ago and there was an article about the justifications for amnesty. I read the comments and was blown away, it was a majority anti-amnesty with a few people (very few) coming in to post that the other people were racists, haters, etc. Most of the comments were calling for the government to enforce the law, asking how can we bring in so many more hungry mouths when there are not enough jobs right now, and saying that if we were to enforce the laws the illegals would self deport. I believe another amnesty attempt is going to cause a lot of civil unrest. Seems to me that the government are the terrorists, their actions inciting chaos.
Rags: you missed the whole point of my post including your feeling that I was singling you out. There were others.
First of all, pirates will never be summarily executed as a matter of international policy so we can take that off the table. You can keep advocating it if it makes you feel good but it won’t happen. That takes us back to the real world. In the real world, there is the US and there is the rest of the world.
The rest of the world has decided to have a policy of paying ransom. They also have no laws to prosecute the pirates if caught so they get released.
The US has a long-standing policy, almost as old as America itself, that we will not negotiate with pirates nor pay them ransom. Once trapped, they know they will either be killed or taken prisoner to face serious charges in the US. There are very few ships sailing under the US flag off of Somalia so we aren’t a big target. But make no mistake about it, the next time they see the US flag, they will think twice.
So there are your choices. Civilized nations abandoned summary executions at sea centuries ago. Your option makes no sense. The rest of the world has decided to pay the pirates as a cost of doing business. We have chosen to give the pirates two very harsh options and have proven that we will not bend. One of the options is death, the other is a very long prison term or even death if any of us gets killed.
Our way works. Did you notice that once confronted with the Marines assigned to NATO, those 19 pirates immediately surrendered without a fight? Had those ships been US-flagged, they would have faced charges. They didn’t want to die but they also knew that there would be no consequences since non-US nations have no laws to prosecute them under. As an attorney, you should understand that.
We will never adopt a policy of summary execution. It is not warranted nor is it needed. Those pirates are hardly more more than teen street gangs on boats.

OK. As a returning GOP volunteer I spoke to hundreds of interested voters who remain disgusted with McAmnesty. Due to his selection of Sarah we were able to do quite well locally. We gained some ground, we also assisted in getting elected first timer Sharon Tyler who ran in an ajoining county. Hers was a difficult seat to win, but we did it.
That is what I did, and that is what I do. What have you done lately that is relevant?
