She was spotted in Moscow carrying a designer VBH black alligator handbag that has been estimated by some to be worth “only” as low as $875, up to a high of $6,000. The manufacturer says she has the expensive clutch, the White House, doing more damage control, says it/s the cheaper $875 purse. I don’t care WHICH it is, it is still indicative of a spendthrift, Marie Antoinette behavior. Geez, with those $540 tennis shoes that she wears to feed the homeless at shelters, Michelle is showing more frequently how OUT OF TOUCH she is with the pain and struggle most Americans are experiencing with barely being able to keep their payments up to date and to feed their families. How many bags of groceries could one family of four buy with Michelle’s stupid designer purse? The last purse I bought, from Goodwill, was five dollars and is still going strong. I don’t expect Michelle to shop at Goodwill, but buying designer purses during the nation’s economic crisis is extremely tacky and prima donna-like. 30–we don’t have children, and we both work, so fortunately hubby really likes me to have the nice shoes.

Today I’m wearing a pair of Tod’s driving loafers. $500.00

It’s ‘casual day’ at work. I refuse to wear ‘tennis shoes’.

Well on Saturday, I did have some really expensive boots on.

But never mind that they were my steel-toe work boots I bought back in 1991 when I was working for the Evil Empire of Halliburton.

Oh wait, this was from Friday. On Friday was the extremely expensive (in my mind) $40 pair of KSwiss. Yeah, that’s how I roll. Y’all can be jealous now.

I’m generally wearing $39 New Balance sneakers. When I have to look dressed up, I’m wearing $120 Bostonians. I thought that was a bunch of money to pay for a dress shoe, but I guess not.

I’d wear cheaper shoes, but my foot is hard to fit. A size 9 4E doesn’t get made by everyone.
