Close-Gitmo Dems won’t put money where their mouths are

By Michelle Malkin  •  May 4, 2009 04:06 PM

File under feckless:

The Close Gitmo Democrats won’t fork over $50 million requested by the Obama administration to fund the transition/resettlement costs for detainees once the facility is shut down.

Maybe the White House can hold a jihadi relocation telethon.

it is only fair that we rename said detention center with a name which is more reflective of their ideology. How about “Guano?”

Awright!!! Paging Col. Bat Guano! We’ve got a job for you! :)

It ain’t all good yet Obama will restart Military Commissions, protect secrets during civil suits by former detainees, fight extending habaes to Bagram detainees, keep eavesdropping on the enemy without FISA court approval … when will the MSM start referring to him as ‘Bush-light’?

The penguins and walruses took a vote. The good news is Antarctica has no objections to taking all current Gitmo detainees. The best news is they want them delivered on the first day of summer in the northern hemisphere. I’m willing to contribute $1,000 to help pay their way.

I haven’t heard of many cases in this country where anybody was summarily executed – except, of course on the battlefield and one instance during the Clinton Administration, but they were religious cultists, so they were fair game.

I provided a solution months ago. We airlift all the U.S. military out. Drop the keys off as the plane goes over Havana. Then a C-130 with a MOAB comes over and discharges it’s cargo.
    Done.

    Put them in D.C.

If they are harmless it shouldn’t be a problem, right?

How about something along the lines of “Adopt a Detainee”? Every D in Congress can host a terrorist for the summer. Think of the international flair it will bring to the Hamptons!

I hear there’s a big mansion in Chicago that’s sitting empty for the next 4 years…

I was thinking of the Branch Davidians, but right after I posted this I realized that I had forgotten the other incident at Ruby Ridge. Two instances (and a total of around 50 individuals) of summary execution for Clinton. We have a “no trespassing” sign down here warning trespassers – survivors will be prosecuted. That’s what the Democrats consider “law enforcement”.

Personally, I think if they’re going to “close” Gitmo, the troops should evacuate…the last one, before boarding the plane, open all the gates. Let Castro handle them.

Love it! Maybe it could even be like a sort of student exchange program, where we trade them an equal number of libs to be sent to their home countries. Heck, most of these guys probably already have student visas.

I prefer faeces. I suppose you could feed folks blood pudding, then have them all defecate in the tank–killing two birds with one stone, as it were! Har!

Holy Jumping Spit! These morons will throw billions after billions of dollars at barely defined fluff and nonsense but they won’t drop a measly $50 million to back up their own words?

This is what the word ‘gutless’ is all about. How do these people move from one place to another without a spine to hold up their bloated egos? Even pumping their empty skulls full of helium won’t help much.
