How, exactly, does this add to the level of discourse on the subject?

I love the outcome of this story for all the obvious reasons (especially the comment from someone who wrote “You want more gun control? Use both hands”), but this type of comment is uncalled for. It does nothing to aid the cause of those of us who seek to maintain the rights of law-abiding citizens to protect themselves. I hope you’ll reconsider your tone.

Bull. I reconsider nothing. These innocent people would be DEAD if Sarah Brady and her ilk had their way.
So I proudly extend a middle finger to her and all the gun grabbers who want to take from us the God given right to defend our lives and those of our loved ones from this type of murderous scum.

If you’re being threatened your best bet is to point the gun in their direction and fire.

chaosrainz: I might TRY to aim at the kneecap and tell the police that was where I aimed, but if I happen to hit in the center of mass, I’ll just admit I was being attacked and had to ‘fire for effect’ rather than for a point on the body.

If I get a ‘perp’ on the ground without firing a shot, you can bet he won’t get up until the police arrive and let him up.

If he goes on the ground because I had to fire my weapon, you can bet he won’t get up until a medic or the coroner picks him up.

If I had to shoot him when he was on the ground, it will be because he was bringing his weapon to bear.

The cops did it. Never mind the testimony of the other 10 people in the building. Lil Calvin was party-goer #11 and the cops busted in and killed him according to this person. Lil Calvin was just a sweet, inocent victim of ‘Da Man.” Never mind his rap sheet and mug shot…

The dead suspect is a very close friend of mine and his death came out of the left field. This is hitting me harder than I ever imagined. I just want to set the record straight and state that CJ would NEVER do anything like this. The news is owned by gatekeepers who only report what they want to (please do some research about the news). To cover up for the Police faults, they want to say that he tried to rob the place. COMPLETELY out of character for him. Also, if he burst through the doors, why aren’t there ANY reports about the force entries, the “mask” that he allegedly wore, and the gun? NOTHING talks about this.The news is doing a good job of brainwashing yall to believe that he was an intruder. When in fact, he was just one of the party goers and was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Every one there is at fault because they could have saved his life. He bled to death on the street and the party goers did absolutely NOTHING (they were probably scared to death of the real gunman), and the police (as usual when in the hood) was late getting there.I REFUSE to believe this garbage about my dear friend.May your soul rest in peace Calvin Lavant Jr. and I will forever love you!
