What Nan knew

By Michelle Malkin  •  May 7, 2009 07:48 PM

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi knew from September 2, 2002 that enhanced interrogation techniques, including waterboarding, were being used on jihadi detainees.

She knew. From Day One.

That’s what the CIA memo, published at Human Events, shows.

ABC News follows. Pelosi’s spokesperson says his boss has a “recollection” that is “different.”

Nancy Pelosi: Blink, blink.

Allahpundit surveys all the evidence contradicting Pelosi and comes to the only conclusion: Liar.

Since Nancy Pelosi was briefed on the “enhanced interrogation techniques” early in the game, I suspect the Honorable Attorney General will wish to prosecute her first. Then, I suspect, he will want to go-after those evil doers who tortured those 40,000 military folks during their SERE training. Man, those courts will be tied-up for years!

chap, in another couple of years after you see the havoc communism has wrought on the counties economy, you may find yourself even further convinced that the constitution ought to be followed. it was written to limit government from running roughshod over the people. did i mention the hedge fund and bank people, and the bond holders of chrysler and gm, and the mortgage holders of deadbeats who signed contracts, and the taxpayers who pony up their hard earned money for a government who has somehow found it is the taxpayers responsibility to educate, imprison, and provide healthcare and welfare for illegal immigrants to this country. forget roe v wade, and a right to privacy that exists for abortions, but doesn’t exist for travel in this land. let’s look at a 1.5 trillion dollar deficit this year which is largely a payback to political supporters and cronies of this administration. bush was wrong in not cracking down on runaway repubs in congress and their wild eyed spending, but obama has raised patronage and redistribution to an art form.

Term limits are our only hope. We’ve got to have a steady flow of new people that don’t barter our future for theirs.

We’ve got to start electing people that are from different walks of life. Bring in the plumbers, truck drivers, carpenters, teachers, pilots, engineers, physicians, home makers, factory workers, small business owners, etc…

Let’s be governed by our own and stop with this nonsense of lifetime politicians that don’t know the meaning of work and only view politics as a career path. Lindsay Graham, are you listening?

I have never seen so many people talking about what happens in briefings like the Democrats have been doing for a very long time now. This lying, hypocritical buffoon has been selling out our nation and has been getting Americans killed for the last 8+ years, even more since she was made Speaker. \

Even when presented with facts, she is still able to lie and claim to know nothing. Just how long will it be until the American people wake up and stick a finger down their throats to vomit out the Kool-Aide they have been chugging for so long? My God, but this is so insulting to listen to for anyone with even a hint of intelligence.

It is far past the time when these Liberals in Congress get investigated and charged with perjury where relevant and treason and sedition.

Where oh where are the Conservatives with gonads?

Actually, it very well may be inappropriate for her to talk about the briefings. However, that is not good enough, if she felt the techniques were torture.

There is something in legal and business ethics called the “noisy withdrawal.” Basically, if your client is doing something bad, you may be bound by some privilege not to divulge what that is. However, the attorney should withdraw representation and let it be known, without being specific, that there is a serious problem going on.

The fact that you might lose your seniority or leadership position does not excuse being silent and thus complicit.

Isn’t it a shame they are not held to the same standard that the military uses? Wouldn’t it be nice if we could charge them with Article 134 and boot them? Loss of pension, and a Big Chicken Dinner? (Bad Conduct Discharge for you civilians)

And seriously, why isn’t there a process that could do this? Ask your representative if they think their conduct is less important than that of the military? Seeing as how they are always flapping their gums about the conduct of the military, seems only fair they hold themselves to the same standards. Of course there would be a lot of turnover but that I see as a good thing.

If those Democrats who proclaim water-boarding to be “torture” are genuine in their view, and are not merely pushing it as cover for their BDS motive in going after the former admin., then they will demand Pelosi resign her speaker-ship, if not her seat.

Speaker Gingrich resigned both, and for much less reason, when he was attracting too much negative attention for the party to move its agenda forward in Congress.

    Pelosi is a lying beotch.

According to the ABC report on the intelligence memos released, Zubaydah was waterboarded 83 times in August.

And Pelosi is trying to say those briefing her just happened to leave that out?

I’m sure she would have raised all kinds of hell if they briefed her as she said…that it was only a possible technique, then she found out later that they had actually used it prior to her briefing.

Your moron voters in San Fransicko might buy that stupidity but not many else will.

The “politics of personal destruction” was always a Democrat[ic Socialist] tactic, not a Republican one.

    It’s the Alinsky way.

Democrat[ic Socialist]s always project their bad behavior onto Republicans.

Like that “Culture of Corruption” is multiple times more true of the Democrat[ic Socialist] Party than of the Republican Party. There’s corruption in both, but the lion’s share is on the Democrat[ic Socialist] side of the aisle.
