Robert Gibbs doesn’t like his boss’s taste in jokes
The White House Press Secretary weighed in today concerning a couple of Wanda Sykes’ jokes Saturday night:
In his daily briefing Monday, Robert Gibbs distanced the president from comedian Wanda Sykes’ joke comparing Rush Limbaugh to a 9/11 hijacker at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.
“I don’t know how the guests get booked,” Gibbs said, adding that he hadn’t “talked specifically” with Obama about Sykes’ crack.
“I think there are a lot of topics that are better left for serious reflection rather than comedy. I think there’s no doubt 9/11 is part of that,” Gibbs continued.

I think we have a new slogan for Obama’s re-election campaign: “Laughter: The new offended.” I haven’t seen Obama this angry since Daniel Ortega’s speech.
While we’re on the subject, why don’t comedians do many jokes on Obama? According to Bill Sheft, a writer for David Letterman, it’s because Barack is just too damn competent. Sheft just wrote an Obama joke and probably doesn’t even realize it.
Writing jokes about President Obama isn’t as tough as they’re leading everyone to believe. I even wrote a few in today’s column. They may not be the greatest, but I’ll put them up against Wanda Sykes’ 9/11 material any day of the week — the difference being that Obama won’t laugh at mine.

This is worth a gander, especially in light of Hugo’s expropriation of oil field service companies this weekend, and THE ONE’s parallel actions in the US.

The joke that stuck in my craw was the one directed at the press – “All you voted for me.” Blatant media bias is quite funny, isn’t it?
And don’t ever wish for a terrorist attack or for something bad to happen to the country or an opposition politician just so your side can gain a political advantage. There’s a difference between seeing the writing on the wall and hoping something tragic will come about. Be better than that.

That Bill Schift character does the warm up act each night at the Ed Sullivan Studio before David Letterman speaks to the audience. Schift is incredibly unfunny. I have been in the Letterman studio several times for the Late Night program and each time Schift is even less funny than the last time. One time he was trying to peddle a book of his humor. Nobody wanted the book. As for Dave, he is a dyed in the wool liberal desperate to be relevant in the Colber-Stuart era. So he tries to be hip and he thinks going liberal is the way to do it. He made thousands of jokes at W’s expense. He has not made one at Obama’s expense. Each night he still takes a Bush sentence out of context and makes W look stupid and usually he takes an extemporaneous remark from W and juxtaposes it with a scripted remark from Obama. The other night, he got emotional defending Obama against any and all criticism. Letterman gets his butt kicked in by Leno every night and Dave has become quite mean about it, ridiculing Jay at every chance. Dave has not been funny since Bud Melman left the show. If you don’t remember Larry “Bud” Melman, go to youtube and put in Bud Melman into the search engine.

Our glorious POTUS undoubtedly also listened to many, many racially tinged “jokes” at his church in Chicago for 20 years. It certainly doesn’t surprise me that he would have a hater for the headliner at this dinner.
This President will fix nothing, but he certainly will divide and conquer.

I get a huge laugh every time Obama opens his idiotic pie-hole. The guy personifies “joke.” He creates comedic opportunities every moment he goes out in public. “Competence” is the antithesis of Barack Obama, and the fact that this pile of nothing is president of the United States is absolutely hilarious.
Obama sits through the speeches of Ortega and Chavez, then yuks it up with some of the most blatant hate-speech heard in a long time and does nothing.
The Pope, however, showed him what to do when such things happen and you want to make the statement that you do not agree. He demonstrated that yesterday when an Islamic thug went off…yet again…on Christians and Jews. The Pope stood up and left the room.
Maybe someone need show Der Fuhrer the proper wait to act in IMPOLITE company.
