Not that the tea parties are partisan!
Hey, Red…
Anyone with a brain is invited.
The ability to think is not partisan.
The Tea Parties are against irresponsible spending and out-of-control taxation. To claim that they are partisan implies that you think one of the political parties is synonymous with irresponsible spending and theft through taxation. Which party do you think that is?
Hey, Obama! Taxation WITH representation ain’t so hot either!
Remember this:
1 Timothy 5:18 For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
Liberals love spending Other People’s Money…don’t you know? They are FOR irresponsible spending and taxing the “rich” people who make $250K or above.
We are the silent majority no more! It would almost be worth it to go back to Albuquerque to attend!
Good luck. Obama doesn’t like those who disagree with him and will do everything he can get away with to discourage any demonstrations to that effect.
I’ll be surprised if he and his people don’t try to ban signs and protesting using some lame excuse for it. It worked in Fredericksburg, VA at Mary Washington University. All signs were banned from his campaign visit. Of course the sheeple complied as did the city police.
Red Skeptic, our 200,000 TEA Party attendees were from both parties! The GOP was denied an official presence at ours. It’s all about responsible citizenship, and making our voices heard!
Just think of it as a prioritized target list!
The biggest spenders go to the top of the list.
The taxes we see are only the tip of the iceberg.
An IMMENSE new reporting burden in being put in place that will effect anyone who pays a contractor (for instance) over $600.00 per year.
That is but ONE such new reporting cost. There are MANY MORE.
A good friend of mine from the Chicago area and I were discussing all the proposed Obama hidden tax hikes, and out of control spending. He said to me, as he made a vulgar Hollywood-type gesture, “Hey, Obama…I gotch ‘ore tax hikes right here!”
It cracked me up! Was this language that Obama might be able to relate and understand? I mean, he is from Chicago, right?
I believe that is for people who own rental properties, but I may be wrong. That said, this is the equivalent of looking under the sofa cushions for spare change to buy the groceries.
Except you have a policeman in your living room FORCING you to make the search and fill out a report on what you find.
It isn’t the cost of the change… It’s the cost of the search and the report.
More tea, Vicar?
True, this will hurt the commercial real estate business. Here in South Florida, there are so many small plazas with empty units, this will add further costs when it is least needed.
I’m with #7. I really hope that New Mexico gets a chance to protest, but I’m betting there will be something that prevents them from getting within a mile of the school. It’s about transparency you know.
These Tea Parties are as much for bho as they are for the R’s and rino’s we now have in dc. I am really hoping that the people who voted for bho will begin to see the light what this man is going to do to them and show up also. We are on such a downturn for your Republic we may never recover.

Don’t forget. Obama promised tax cuts didn’t he? I do have a rhetorical question regarding the tax cuts. If 95% of the people who pay taxes are going to get a tax cut, doesn’t that mean the overall tax revenues should go down? I’m sure the answer will be, the loss of tax revenue will be offset by increased taxes on the wealthy – those making $250,000 and over. Nice parry. What a shell game these con artists are pulling. The tax cuts should be called tax transfers. We may get a cut in one area but you can bet they will go up in another area.
And, with the deficit spending that’s proposed, there’s no other way to cover those costs without a great big tax increase somewhere. My guess is in “Cap N Trade” taxes. $3,000 a year per family in increased energy bills would go a long way to fund a lot of the socialist programs Obama is pushing.
Brace yourselves. Obama the liar is laying the ground work quickly. We’re going to need more than tea parties to stop this tsunami.
Personally, I am not sure any more. Hence my participation in the tea parties. To quote my mom, “I don’t care who started it! Both of you stop!”
“I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic, and we should stand up and say, “WE ARE AMERICANS AND WE HAVE A RIGHT TO DEBATE AND DISAGREE WITH ANY ADMINISTRATION!” -Sec. of State Clinton
Now if everyone at the Tea Party Rally wore Guy Fawkes-style Hillary masks, that would be frightening!
The One will simply say – “what tea party? I didn’t see any tea parties”.
Democrats in Santa Fe turned out to protest Obama’s spending plan.
At least we know there won’t be any posters of a beheaded Barry like the Left did to Bush.
Tea Parties aren’t partisan but, if they were, what’s wrong with that?
It’s called politics. To Dems, that means agreeing with them or else. Once again, the Dems present the anti American image that the RNC should exploit but doesn’t.
Partisanship isn’t a bad word. Standing up for principals is not evil. Stealing my hard earned for your own Socialist benefit is evil.
I’m with the tea parties in spirit. They don’t report on them in Europe at all lest the sheep start to get ideas about the sheep dog.
Those tea bagging rednecks should get off of welfare and go to work.
Listen: love America or leave it!
You hit the nail on the head, Paul Revere! It constantly confuses me how angry the lefties are; they have the White House, the Senate, and the House, yet they are still angry! I don’t know about all y’all’s TEA Parties, but we had a ball at ours in San Antonio! There was lots of laughter, high fiving, smiles on everyone’s faces! I saw some “One Big Awful Mistake America” signs, and one showing him looking like Che Guevarra, but none of the ugliness of the moonbats!
No, love America or Change it.
See, the right believes in change, too.
Are you a Christian too? If so, it must be doubly difficult for you!
I’m still waiting for the Hollywood wackos who threatened to leave to do as they promised.
ILMC: said something ignorant and bigoted. Probably striaght from his primary news source, the daily show.
no, no, no, no, yes.
Katrina Pearson, you know, the famous tea bagging redneck, took your advice. You must be proud.

It says a bunch…
Some liberals claim that tea party participants are ignorant, redneck, racists who don’t understand what the Boston Tea Party was all about. Some bloggers on this thread wrote that tea parties are about taxing and spending too much. I agree with that, but I also think (or hope) that the tea parties are more general protests against government moving in the direction of statism and tyranny. The diversity of posters displayed at the tea parties suggest that many participants held this view as well.
Dagney,
I am a Christian. Surprisingly, this part of the Continent has a very strong protestant church. You just don’t see it on television because they take the whole “austere” thing to a new level. It makes for a very interesting place.
Europeans, in general, have been conditioned to believe that socialism is the best system over the last 60 years. My job has me here and it’s their continent to deal with so I say, their business is their business, right or wrong. I simply do not think it is right for the USA.
There is now an active drive to get the Tea Parties in gear for the 4th of July–no excuses now since that falls on a Saturday. Please check out this link and sign up to participate. If we don’t speak out–everything changes and socialism via this administration will overcome us. Please plan to be there on Independence Day!!

How would someone without the Internet see this?
This reminds me of the answering system for the Texas Rangers ticket information. A male voice announces “For English Press 1. For Espanol press 4.”
Will they serve scones with clotted cream? Perhaps something savory–a nice selection of Wensleydale and Red Leicester cheeses?
Otherwise, Sheridan will be appalled.
You need to learn your tea party etiquette, savories would include cucumber sandwiches, cheese is more for ploughman’s lunch. Though Red Leicester is a favorite, it’s also from my home town.
Mousebender Any Dorset Blue Vinney?
Wensleydale No.
Mousebender Brie, Roquefort, Pont-l’Évêque, Port Salut, Savoyard, Saint-Paulin, Carre-de-L’Est, Boursin, Bresse-Bleu, Perle de Champagne, Camenbert?
Wensleydale Ah! We do have some Camembert, sir.
Mousebender You do! Excellent.
Wensleydale It’s a bit runny, sir.
Mousebender Oh, I like it runny.
Wensleydale Well as a matter of fact it’s very runny, sir.
Mousebender No matter. No matter. Hand over le fromage de la Belle France qui s’apelle Camembert, s’il vous plaît.
Wensleydale I think it’s runnier than you like it, sir.
Mousebender (smiling grimley) I don’t care how excrementally runny it is. Hand it over with all speed.
Wensleydale Yes, sir. (bends below counter and reappears) Oh…
Mousebender What?
Wensleydale The cat’s eaten it.
I won’t be able to get there – can’t afford the plane ticket, but it will be worthwhile to tune in MSNBC and see Keith OlberEichmann’s head explode (again)!
I know ‘tea party’ etiquette; I just wanted an excuse to quote Hyacinth.
The bill of fare at any TEA Party should always include pulled pork….
racists… racists all of you…
I remember seeing a sign near the hostess desk at a restaurant reading: “Ask your waitstaff for a menu in braile.”
I wonder how many seeing-eye dogs asked?
Ah yes, Hyacinth ‘Bouquet’.
This is what I am talking about when I warn about the GOP co-opting the Tea Party movement. Sanford and Perry should just butt out or call their “townhall meeting” a townhall meeting. Tea Parties are NOT about Republicans or Democrats. We are protesting against a one-party system that is at war against voters. We are not interested in creating cheap political photo ops for presidential hopefuls of either party. We don’t need their opportunistic and empty posturing. Stop reaching for our microphone. Just sit back and listen this time.
Here in California, everyone now pays about $75 (for those makng about $30k a year)to $250 (for those that make around $100k a year) more a year in taxes due to the new “budget” that was adopted. The tax withholding increased.
Now we are waiting for the effect of that. Each person now makes about $2 to $5 less per week. Of course, it will go directly to the Teachers Union. A very powerful lobby here. Consumer spending will decrease by that amount as they now don’t have it to spend. A prime example of liberal policies. But yet, the Nation is now adopting California’s broken system.
Good Luck and Godspeed to all who attend.
a .308 welcome for Obama and his mob and Biden on his train. The rope & a tall tree for Pelosi and let the chips fall where they may…
Just what America should dream about because I do not drink tea….
evidently another flip-flop on that one…the bar has been lowered to $235K…

I hope the “tea party” participants will “keep it classy”. No “below the belt” hits on President Obama–they would just help his democratic / liberal / socialist / marxist / communist agenda move forward.
***
Engage on the issues–the Left Wing Media (not MSM) is waiting for a few crumbs to help out the Messiah (PBUH) on the nightly news. Prepare to take back Congress in 2010–a plan that will work.

Just an opinion–why are the liberals so frightened by the Tea Parties. I got an earful from my liberal associates. Anything that makes liberals apoplectic is something I’m for since I am the polar opposite of everything they stand for. So what if people have negative Obama signs at Tea Parties? Our right to peacefully assemble and petition our government is on the line here. We should be able to say what we want without having to justify ANYTHING to liberals.
