Saul Alinsky himself wrote a letter to Hillary Clinton. See page 84 of 93 in this PDF:

And of course, Barack Hussein Obama was not only a student of but also a teacher of Alinsky's radical methods.

Speaking of Hillary and Wellesley...

Hillary wrote her Wellesley thesis about Saul Alinsky, then later tried to hide it. Once the Clintons left the White House, Hillary's thesis was no longer sealed. (Hot Air also mentioned it's availability here).

Have fun and be safe driving home.

And, take it from a Roadie, often the journey IS the destination. Especially, if one is one Route 66.

I just graduated from my local community college and am matriculating to our local, huge university as a music student. I was spoiled at the community college- 2 of my favorite music teachers are staunch conservatives, and the third is not but he is certainly not a left wing nut, either.

I had an appointment with my advisor on Friday and I am certainly in a different world. Obama/Biden stuff all around, anti-bush stuff (still?!) around. In the department, not just his office. Yay. It's a good thing my grades are perfect and my talent is, well, quite considerable...because I'm gonna need it to get through the next two years without throwing up! It is going to be pretty interesting, that's for sure.

All that said, I know that as parents we generally want our kids surrounded by people who support our perspective on life. For us, that is one reason they attend a religious based school. But they don't learn if they aren't challenged at some point. While I would not pay for my child to attend a university/college that is notoriously liberal with clear anti-Republican agendas, I don't see the point in not allowing them to choose a school where they are challenged to think and stand up for what they believe in. The Wellsley ladies are a perfect example of that strength of character.

My own daughter goes to a college where there is a big mix (by her estimation) but that her perspective is not the majority. She said she has never felt out of place or attacked, not by her peers or her professors. Their mantra is "can you defend it, can you back it up?" She can, and she does, so she does well. They don't always agree with her, but she says they seem to like her and it is fair.

I think it will make her stronger, having to articulate her beliefs. Isn't that what we want our kids to do? I don't want her to be a quote spewing automotron like so many of the liberal kids (and adults) we see and hear.

I want her to think and be able to defend her beliefs.

Michelle, is it possible to get a degree anywhere with all courses taught by conservatives?

There are a few conservative colleges out there. They are usually Christian based. I have a nephew that's going to Grove City College in PA, which is a conservative Christian college. He loves it, and so do his parents!
