This smells like democraps to me.
Well, the History Channel has done shows with AGW as proven history. They also produce shows that try really hard to prove UFOs and the supernatural exist while also making shows to prove the Bible is full of crap. They do have their agendas over there.
*Whoever did it, they surely got their cue from P-BO and his Clown Cluster; After all, he has been on a 120 day marketing blitz selling the same bovine scatology, and today was no different.
If peace is priceless, then why does the left obsessively count its cost?
As with pretty much everything else on TV, I take everything I see on the History Channel with about a pound of salt.
(Dumb) Americans voted for the biggest Anti-American Marketer on the Planet. Using Air Force One to do his apology tour through Europe, trashing his predisesor, commencement speeches to grads saying to “volunteer” instead of motivate to work hard or create jobs and be productive in there quest for the American dream. The man is a poser and most of the media outlets are following his lame ideals and running this great nation into the crapper. Put his un-proud of America wife in the mix and throw it all out to the kool-aid drinkers via the view and viola! The baloney these news oulets are ramming down our throats is sickening.. Nothing any channel cable or otherwise surprises me, “the One” has set a very very un-American presidence. His routine and all the media bashing of America is wearing old. America does and will continue to do more for mankind than any Nation in History, all this BS Obama and his cronies are dishing out is going to cost them dollars in the end with no bailouts. they’re all making a big mistake going down the road Odopey is paving.
Olgivy DONE.
Oglivy is owned by the British company WPP Group, which employs Clinton strategist Mark Penn, who is CEO of another WPP company Burson-Marsteller. WPP also owns Penn’s former company Penn-Schoen. The America hating runs very deep.
The wording in the third one is hard to read, but you can eventually make it out. This one is certainly not ant-American.
The number of Muslim births in Britain has certainly increased in the past several years.
Sorry, I can’t get worked up over the photoshop pics. If you bring a Simitar or a Ginsu to do battle against America, your going to lose every time.
As for the British sign:
If accurate it seems the Muslim hoards are following the wishes of the English King Edward the Longshanks from the movie Bravehart, “If we can’t get them out, we’ll breed them out”.

Indirectly it is. The point of the ad is that “History is written by the winners”, and “the winners” in the third ad are the Muslims.
The Marxists and the Muslims are working together against both the U.K. and the U.S.
Russia is an observer of the “57 states” of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference
And our usurper-in-chief agrees with the thought process in these ads.

Anybody want to guess which one of our trolls uses these as desktop wallpaper?
I used to like the History Channel, too. It was one of my favorites.
Yet another reason to shut the bood tube off and go cruise Route 66 on my Sportster and experience the real world.
This practice isn’t limited to the History Channel or A&E. Here in Europe, the Discovery Channel (I think it has 6 or 7 different sub-species here) is completely in the pocket of the extreme left enviro-nitwit agenda. Greenpeace and WWF ads dominate airtime.
Hey, free markets rule. So, whoever wants to advertise should never be stifled.
However, the problem happens when Discovery accepts advertising from Greenpeace where they show graphic images of dogfighting, bear baiting and other abused animals and they insinuate that it is a common and accepted occurrance around the world. They also mislead the public in to thinking that these organizations actually have the power to do something about it.
Discovery is showing this to a continent where 95% of the people have never actually seen an animal in the wild apart from birds in a park. The donation money flows in like a river.
That money is immediately transported to the USA and used to lobby Congress on far left agendas.
So Liberal Propaganda is used to collect foreign money that is then sent via lobbyists to influence US law and policy.
I will never watch Discovery again. Too bad as some of the programing is reasonably entertaining. However, they are a tool of the left in a most inexcusable way.

You are absolutely right. However, they didn’t have to work so hard with the Brits. The UK actually wanted this (at least Labour did).
The first ad is misleading in that it doesn’t consider how many were killed by the insurgents. The second ad, to me, just emphasizes that it’s best not to kick a lion while it’s sleeping, and the third ad is a sad statement on unfettered immigration.
What all three are leaving out is the message that America is a bad place so you should quit trying to get in and immigrate to someplace righteous like maybe Cuba or Iran.
Even the Weather Channel brings the global warming issue in every chance they get – nevermind, the founder of it has stated it is not science.
txvet2: You are bringing out long-forgotten memories of cartoons — one I recall from a coffe-table book of the New Yorker magazine cartoons. A fellow sitting at the head table at a dinner turns to the person next to him as the featured speaker blathers on. He says to his tablemate, “Please pass the grain of salt!”
I watch the History channel with more than a grain of salt, because it’s history and that field is dominated by leftists.
About 3 years ago I took some college level history classes. It was interesting to me that the extreme leftist professors felt the need to gloss over certain sections of the textbooks that were so blatantly anti-American (or anti-white people, or anti-Christian or even just anti-common sense) that even they felt uncomfortable with them.
History isn’t written by the winners. It’s written by the writers. For some reason liberalism seems to produce a LOT of writers who think that writing vicious propaganda is an obligation.
Who is the culprit here? Half a dozen people in South Africa. Is this the “liberals hate America” scandal of the day?
As for the content, ad#2 is silly, but ads #1 and 3 are at least in spirit accurate. Many Iraqis suffered more during the early years of the occupation than under Saddam. There was much violent ethnic cleansing. “Heckuvajob” Bush incompetence really did get lots of people killed.
Please keep in mind: the History Channel may be totally innocent here. I have created things to pitch to clients that they have totally hated, and completely rejected.
Never anything idiotically anti-American like this of course but still this may have nothing to do with the History Channel at all and is entirely the creation of some misguided ad agency art department, trying to be all “edgy” or “outside-the-box-y” or whatever.
Plus, it looks more like a school project to me rather than a finalized professional campaign. The CLIOs picking up on it though… there’s no excuse for that.
It’s very possible that History Channel/A&E execs may never have even seen this stuff much less approved it.
This sort of attitude is what now permeates the History field. If the current interpretation doesn’t fit our worldview, let’s revise it and manufacture a new concept.
You, Math Man, have no better an idea of what incorporates history than my former 8th grade students did. History is always evolving and changing and doesn’t happen in a vacuum like you suppose. These ads were mean-spirited and misdirected to suit your (and their) political view. You are a slave to your party’s will and I actually feel sad for you.
Knowledge of history can be freeing but slavish devotion to a PC prism of history can be enslaving. History doesn’t work like that and never will.
If you think that this is just some isolated left-wing incident you need to examine the likes of Howard Zinn and other historians like him who take a revisionist, PC view of history. Left-wing historians don’t give a crap about honest discussion of historical trends as long as they can establish their viewpoint as the only mainstream interpretation of history that’s out there.
You’re really going to have to lose the Bush hatred someday. Then again, even people like you need a scapegoat. Have fun pretending that you know what you’re talking about.
That can be said of more than history. The left works very hard to dictate correct thoughts about everything.
Economics (capitalism = evil. Communism = fairness. Rich people = evil.)
Weather (global warming = a real thing caused by evil Americans).
Race (White people = evil, oppressive, unfair, evil).
Food (organic = good. Everything else = bad)
Health care (government control = good. Pharmaceutical companies = evil. HMOs = evil.)
Religion (anything goes = good. Christianity = evil oppressive relic of an evil tyrannical white male dominated evil age)
sex (homosexuality = good. abortion = very good. heterosexuality = oppressive, male dominated evil slavery)
Hmmm. Is there a pattern here? I can’t quite make it out.
History channel, TLC, Science channel, A & E, NGEO and others like Discovery for Kids are all under the umbrella of The Discovery channel, all very left wing. Their programing is so left wing slanted anymore ne has to pay close attention to what your watching or they’ll be serving you kool aid soon, too soon.
Very few programs on these channels are no-partisan anymore…I waych The dog Whisperer due to my love for dogs, every now and then Caesar slips in a left wing comment, not sure he’s proselytizing or not, I don’t think so intentionally.
Of the three “ads” in question, the first is total crap, the second displays a remarkable, willful ignorance of what it means to fight and win a war in general and why the US used atomic weapons in 1945, and the third is spot-on.
Anyone who believes that the “US regime” was responsible for more than a million Iraqi deaths is either a leftist propagandist or a fool.
And if we’re going to play games like comparing Pearl Harbor to Hiroshima — the underlying assumption being that the US should’ve ceased its war effort after having inflicted 2,400 deaths on the Japanese, in which case we’d have called a unilateral cease-fire some time in early 1942 — why not make an “ad” with a sign that reads,
– For at least this would shed some light on why we elected to use the A-bombs instead of carrying out the planned invasions of Kyushu and Honshu in 1945-46.
But that’s be an exercise in intellectual honesty, and there’s not much of that underpinning cheap-shot anti-Americanism, is there?
History Channel is riddled w/ left-wing propaganda! I find myself watching less and less of it everyday.
If it isn’t progressive viewing ~ here’s the other “quality” viewing:
UFO’s, Bigfoot sightings, History of Sex…
I’m only keeping cable for FoxNews.
Did things get any easier for the poor souls trapped in concentration camps in Europe and the South Pacific while Allied forces dropped bombs all around them? I doubt it.
