Hey, Claire McCaskill: Meet Clarence Thomas
On Fox News Channel this morning, Sen. Claire McCaskill dutifully read her “compelling personal story” talking points and hyped Sonia Sotomayor’s compelling personal background while whitewashing her legal record. (RCP Video has the clip here.)
Incredibly, McCaskill was not aware that Sotomayor had said “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”
When FNC anchor Jane Skinner asked her about Sotomayor’s words, McCaskill tried to claim that someone else had made the statement.
Is Sen. McCaskill that clueless or that deceitful?
The Democrat senator went out to claim that the Supreme Court has no members who have grown up in poverty and overcome extreme hardships.
“That’s something new,” McCaskill argued.
I suggest she read Justice Clarence Thomas’s memoir before she open her mouth again.
Once again, Democrats send the identity politics-marinated message that the experiences and “compelling personal stories” of minorities don’t count if those minorities stray from the liberal plantation.
Celebrate diversity — as long as you pledge allegiance to the Left for life.

To answer your question as to whether the senator is clueless or deceitful, she’s both. She’s probably more deceitful than clueless, but it’s a tossup.
But he’s a conservative, ergo he’s never really known suffering and hardship.
Only liberal victim groups actually suffer. Poverty experienced by conservatives is a smokescreen.

Sen. McCaskill can indeed be that clueless-she is one lazy Senator. As far as being deceitful–she does lie a LOT; integrity was never really her strong suit. One of the shames on the Senate-Republican/Democrat, Left/Right is they will not call out a member for lying and so it is hard to ever believe any of them on anything.
Bingo, -hypocracy- the liberal creed; dutifully sold by demagouging lib policticans and media members, and lapped up by your typical slobbering liberal constituent of puddle deep intellect.

ACORN was a big factor in McCaskill getting elected over Jim Talent. 50,000 Democratic voters magically appeared on the roles in the two major metropolitan areas of Missouri – KC and St. Louis.
ACORN has had their slimy hands in politics and race since the 60s in East St. Louis and St. Louis.
TRANSLATION: I can transform the country into a Banana Republic better than a white guy.

I saw McCaskill on FNC many times during the election to speak on behalf of the Obama campaign, and learned she’d say anything to excuse or cover for the blatant liberalism of a fellow Democrat. She has no more credibility.
I hope the people in her state-/district are watching – and listening!
I expect nothing but idiocy from McCaskill, who doesn’t know her rear end from a hole in the ground and is too stupid to be embarrassed about it. She’s a monkey to the DNC organ grinder.

Clarence Thomas doesn’t count because he was essential rural poor which calls for pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps. Sonotmayor was urban poor which requires only applying for welfare and cashing in on affirmative action opportunities.
Big difference. Thomas dishonored the liberals by doing it himself. Sontomayor honored them by accepting the opportunities to cut in line.
The unfortunate reality is that McCaskill is not, and has never been (like a lot of them) qualified to serve in the US Senate. Her re-election was merely a wave of anti-GOP sentiment (and probably leftover sentiment for Jean Carnahan) and now the good people of Missouri have this insipid parrot front and center.
Is it possible to abort Congress?

She’s my senator and she’s a liar. In an interview in KC several weeks ago, she had the audacity to say the stimulus bill had no earmarks or pork in it. Also, when she was in charge of Jackson County (KC metro area) her husband was busted for smoking pot – it was news to her that he ever did such a thing. Yeah right, Claire. Her election was most definetly a result of St. Louis and KC election fraud – AKA Acorn.
What is truly incredible is that dolts like McCaskill express their stupidity and hypocracy on national media, and spew additional stupidity to suport their idiotic, uninformed statements. It is unbelieveable watching a moron like this who really believes the crap she’s saying…. especially in support of a total activist, leftist, bigot judge.

Trust me, it’s the latter. McCaskill is, rather unfortunately, my senator. Two years before she won her senate seat, she ran for governor here in Missouri and most of the ads she ran weren’t even half truths. As a senator, I’ve written her before and received in return the most condescending, passive-aggressive, non-committal response I have EVER in my life had the displeasure to read. She’s nothing more than the typical identity politics obsessed grievance monger with a disturbing penchant for brown nosing her party elite and bad mouthing the other side.
In short, she’s the definition of a typical liberal politician in the model of Chris Dodd.

First of all, he can speak. If you meant that he is unintelligent, please, tell me why you say that.
One thing is for sure…The Council of Conservative Citizens element of the GOP will not be pleased with this choice.
I notice the Mainstream Media has been trying to preempt a Republican filibuster of whoever the nominee is going to be…its a foregone conclusion, they say, don’t even bother. Year, after Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas, we’ll keep our own counsel on that one.

She should be disqualified on that alone. How could she possibly sit in judgement on a case where there is a hispanic and a white person involved, even leaving gender out of it?
