“ACORN is a criminal enterprise.”
These are the five simple words that every conservative candidate and officeholder should be repeating often and loudly.
It’s about the fraud. It’s about the coordinated corruption. It’s about the effect on housing, the economy, and the entire electoral landscape.
Does the GOP get it yet? At least one Republican candidate does.
Kris Kobach, the former Bush administration national security/immigration enforcement official and constitutional lawyer, announced that he will run for Kansas Secretary of State last week. His prime motivation: stopping the ACORN racket:
Kris Kobach’s desire to be Kansas Secretary of State can be summed up in one word:
“ACORN,” he told a modest audience that gathered Thursday for lunch at Salina’s Western Sizzlin restaurant.
Salina is one of eight cities Kobach, who until recently was chairman of the Kansas Republican Party, is visiting to announce his desire to be secretary of state.
ACORN — the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now — is an aggressive get-out-the-vote organization that represents low- and moderate-income people nationally. “Since 1970, ACORN has been building community organizations that are committed to social and economic justice,” its Web site says.
Kobach describes it differently.
“ACORN is a criminal enterprise,” he said Thursday.
He said 12 ACORN workers in Missouri were convicted of violating voter laws in connection with 2006 elections.
Voter fraud was the central theme of Kobach’s campaign stop. He warned of the “rise of ACORN” and said it was only after the November election that he learned ACORN has three offices in Kansas.
“We didn’t find out until after the election how busy they have been in Kansas,” he said.
ACORN’s Web site lists offices in Kansas City, Topeka and Wichita. None of the telephone numbers listed works, nor do the e-mail addresses.
Kobach said he plans to push for a photo identification law, which would require voters to present an approved photo ID before they vote. He also wants to require that people prove they are citizens before they are allowed to register to vote.
We need a Kris Kobach in every state in the country.

There are signs of life in the Republican Party, but they all seem to be at the local level rather than the national level.
Wow! Someone saying what we all already knew! Glenn Beck & Bill O’Reilly have been doing terrific work in revealing the despicable work of this corrupt group. I hate that they are receiving billions of our dollars! There should be more of this kind of outrage out there!
That is because, at the local level, the machine is MUCH less powerful.
If we STARVE THE BEAST, we bring government back down to the level where the people have MUCH more control.
David vs Goliath. God was on David’s side many years ago and He is still with us. A rabbi once told me that the way God answers prayers is that he lets you go in a certain way, and then he assists you in that direction. Sort of another way of saying that God helps those that help themselves. It is a very powerful statement because it states clearly that your future is in your hands, that you have freedom to chose your path, and that you are not alone. Kobach has a hell of a fight on his hands, but if we pray for his success he will win. By prayer, I specificaly mean that those of us living in those districts should get off their asses and actively help his campaign. That is the kind of prayer needed, and Acorn will fall. Remember that their side is represented by deception and delusion.
I hope Kris has lots of body guards. Acorn seems to be a tiny bit nasty when it comes to people who disagree with them. This acorn thing needs to be on the news, so far as I know only Fox, and the blogs daily. Thanks Michelle for keeping on top of this.

We just finished our third succesive legislative session here in Texas where a Republican Governor, and Republican Lt. Governor (sets the calendar) and a majority of both sides of the house are republican have been unable to pass a voter ID law. This is despite overwhelming support by referendum (running north of 70% across the electorate) for same. We are running some pretty weak candidates down here so don’t look for Texas to help much.
It will be interesting if the Obama minions will really do anything about this. Probably NOT considering Rathke and Drummond were all part of Weather Underground” with Bill Ayers. As well as they are Obamageddons peeps with ACORN his first job!
I suspect there is a certain fear of the illegal alien vote.
That’s where we need to concentrate our efforts to eventually stop the train wreck we’re bound for!

Danman, I’ve been to Austin twice to try to urge the voter ID bill along. We flooded the capital with red wearing activists, and had to listen to the same donk questions asked over and over! You’re right, the weakness I saw from our side was disturbing! Donks cannot allow voter ID to happen, it’s their only way to continue cheating!
BTW, I am careful to park my car with it’s rearend all the way to a wall. The “If guns kill people, do pencils misspell words?”, “Don’t blame me, I voted for Palin”, and the “Caution, hard left turns ahead (beneath BO’s face)” bumper stickers could cause my Tahoe to undergo some damage in our very blue Austin!
And ANY politician working with ACORN should be tried for racketeering.
Perhaps if they quit printing the ballots in Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Ilocano, a real Republican might be able to get elected here in Hawaii.

According to Rush, the Justice Dept. considered the purge to be discriminatory. Dead people are a protected minority, as are illegals, to the Dems, you see, as vital voting blocs.

missouri already has an id law, now all we need is the police to enforce it, the voter judges to enforce it, and the secretary of state to not condone it. i witnessed an acorn travelling voter walk through my precinct with some hand written “excuse” for why he couldn’t produce a legitimate mo. i.d. but was still allowed to vote. chicago has laws against owning guns, yet people are still killing people with those illegal guns. no one ever gets arrested, but if the police could collar those murderous guns, they would put them to death in the smelter.
How long until talking about/invsetigating ACORN will be deemed off limits by the Obama Administration?

Saying it over and over doesn’t make it true. Much of the US attorney scandal was firing prosecutors who did not bring phony charges of election fraud.

There is absolutely NO reason whatsoever why voters should not be required to identify themselves as legitimate voters. None! Except for reasons of perpetrating fraud. I am with you 100%. It is an outrage that voter rolls have dead people on them, and that anyone who knows the name can walk up and vote as them.
With the amount of voter fraud and financial fraud in this last election, plus two candidates (Obama and McCain) who were not even eligible to hold the office of President, the whole thing has become a farce.
That is called a red herring, a scapegoat, or better, a fall guy. How is it that a partisan group like ACORN gets tax dollars when that is verboten?
What about illegal collusion with the Obama administration regarding tapped out donor lists?
How about their harrassment of banks leading to subprime loans that have brought the country to its knees?
Our centralized oligarchical government is a criminal enterprise, so they go hand-in-fist. I mean, everything it’s doing today is criminal, from taking our money from us (and leaving us an allowance–I mean, how many of you have ever actually PAID an income tax in your lives?), to operating a counterfeiting racket when the money stolen isn’t enough, destroying any real value of the currency.
It isn’t enough for folks to realize that this gangland racket (ACORN) are a bunch of thugs (as few people out there will ever get it). People must realize that the vast majority of political bureaucrats and elected officials (from BOTH parties) are criminals who have practically destroyed this country and have made it a laughingstock.
The ONLY way that the USA will ever recover what it was (a beckon of freedom and liberty, and a protector of its citizen’s rights) is for enough people to reject all of the partisan notions of what a Republican and Democrat is, and realize that the only thing that matters is what being an AMERICAN is, and that our power-mad political parties have betrayed us.

I respectfully disagree that they are in “denial”. Rather most dems know full well that ACORN is a corrupt enterprise. They just dont care as long as ACORN brings them money and votes. That is the modus operandi of your typical amoral democrat. Form over substance; power above everything.
I agree wholeheartedly. Being a Democrat is their sole identity, and what they do in order to win politically doesn’t matter. They are solely political animals. If they could pass a law to force everyone to swear loyalty to Obama and the Democrat party, they would be all for it. Monolithic totalitarian Democrat power sounds good to them, regardless of what tyranny results from it. Being on the “winning” side is all that matters to them, even if it crushes the rule of law and our freedoms, liberties, and American rights.
I have to agree that the underlying problem is with the federal system as a whole. We have courts legislating from the bench, no real checks and balances, a (constitutionally questionable) centralized federal system that constantly holds states hostage with taxpayer’s money that the government has no legal claim to and funding radical self-proclaimed enemies of the American way of life without any consideration for the will of the people …
The problem is the level of ignorance and apathy of the American people as evidenced by their cheering of our destruction as a society while they welcome the very vehicle of that destruction with open arms completely unaware that it will destroy what little they have even now!
It really is more than just a little amazing to watch but it is like experiencing a car wreck in slow motion … everything is still moving too fast to stop but you somehow still see every detail in agonizingly slow motion with total horror just hoping you can come through it to carry on another day. You know it is happening but cannot help but wish it was happening to someone else instead.
Many Democrats belong to a religion that is secular (they have no non-human god). They have a liturgy (they constantly repeat words like ’social justice’, ‘fairness’, ‘diversity’, ‘green’, ‘eco-’whatever, ‘inclusiveness’, etc). They have no problems whatsoever with lying to others in order to advance their religion. Their religion is derived from all of: communism, nazisism, and fascism. The evolved religion is every bit as evil as the original religions. These people are like Moonies in their devotion. Nothing short of a strong deprogramming program will get them to stop proselytizing.
