The moron of the day award goes to Anne Schroeder Mullins at Politico, who cluelessly embraced and promoted the porn magazine’s misogynist drivel — and completely misrepresented the list to Politico’s readers by whitewashing all the vulgarity out of it:

Well lgm has reached a new low, even for him. A question for you: Would you use the moral equivalence card if this same article listed either your mother, sister or wife or other significant other? The fact that your comment doesn’t condemn this disgusting, filthy, misogynistic violent rape fantasy, proves very clearly that in your eyes any Conservative woman is sub-human and doesn’t deserve the respect other women should enjoy.
Another thought: Any psychologist will tell you that rapists commit rape for the very purpose of power over a particular group of women. Most rapists zero in on the type of woman they see as a threat to them and the act of rape is their way of controlling that threat. It takes a particular type of mindset to put into print these fantasies, and that is the mindset of a potential rapist. I would treat this very seriously, many men have had sexual harassment suits brought to them for far less serious claims.

I know Left-leaning sites like Playboy.com are famous for posting outrageous topics long enough for a so-called legit news source to pick them up into the mainstream before quickly backing off and taking them down, but isn’t this over the line?
What strikes me as especially offensive about the article is that most of the women listed are moms or about-to-be moms (Hasselbeck and Kelly). Politico should have known better than to rerun such obvious sensationalism; it’s desperate.

That was an unusual point of view – especially when study after study cites teacher bias as the main reason for the gap between girls and boys acquisition of adequate math skills, with girls scoring much lower than boys in mathematics on standard achievement measurements beginning in grades four and five.
Middle grades math teachers like myself are constantly provided in-service workshops to keep us vigilant against teacher bias (providing extra teaching time and attention to some students but not others), so I found that response very unusual. Oh well, maybe it’s different at the college level.

On a serious note, I doubt that there’s a man who lived who hasn’t, in some dark, terrifying and seldom-visited corner of his mind, entertained degrading and even violent thoughts about women that would make Satan blush. The difference between a civilized man and a barbarian is that the former knows to feel ashamed of those thoughts, and has the strength of character to never, ever (outside of a mental health professional’s office) let them see the light of day.
But what does it say about the man who can’t govern his “Monsters from the Id,” but who lets them dictate terms to him?
He becomes a criminal, or a liberal, or both (it’s no coincidence why liberals are so eager to let felons vote).
I’m sure the Playboy writer who wants to rape Michelle thought he was writing for a friendly audience; that’s how you get to know the disgusting inner ugliness that is liberalism, by listening to them talk amongst themselves. And indeed, as the Politico and Salon links show, there are fellow libs out there who can “empathize” (that word seems so in vogue right now) with if not celebrate what he wrote.
When hatred isn’t what you feel, but who you are, there’s some part even in a liberal’s diseased soul that knows that’s wrong. But the liberal answer is not to confront inner demons, but to seek others who will “validate” them. That’s as close to therapy as most liberals will ever get, even though its sole function is to reward and reinforce the negativity. That they flee like cockroaches when you shine a light on what they’re thinking and saying doesn’t reveal conscience as much as trigger a base survival instinct.
For any fence-sitters out there on the question of whether liberalism is a mental disorder, this should end the debate once and for all.

Great post. This is why religion is good for the soul. We all have dark places in our minds and souls. Belief in a higher authority helps us overcome them and seek to bring the good that is inherent in all of us.
As a real man, I am appalled at this. Men of honor can not condone this in any form (we can’t secretly snicker, we can’t justify this with phrases draped in “free speech”, “literary license” or “consider the source”). We know evil when we see it – this is true evil.
Having said that, I’m frustrated with how to fight it. Like most real men, I would have no problem physically defending these women (conservative or liberal) when the situation warrants it, but how do we confront evil from a distance? I choose to do this by setting an example for my sons, discussing honor and respect of women with them and setting expectations with them. My wife and daughters know that I would walk through fire for them — whether that fire is physical or symbolic. I’m tired of this degredation of the culture – my wife, my daughters and these women on this vile list deserve better!

The Republican Party is as much to blame for our heading down the road to socialism as the Dems, because they do not OPPOSE it. The Republican Party policy has always been to take liberal Democrat policy to a lesser degree than what the Democrats want. They want to be the lesser of two evils, rather than the party obligated toward the bringing the country back towards our constitutional and libertarian roots. Bush and liberal-light Republicans (like Colin Powell and John McCain) have destroyed the GOP.
Also, who, may I ask, initiated these so-called “stimulus” bills which Obama has taken hold of and is injecting them with steroids?
