Finally: Obama’s limp statement on the jihadi attack in Arkansas

By Michelle Malkin  •  June 3, 2009 09:30 PM

The White House finally got around to releasing a statement on the jihadi attack against our troops at the Arkansas military recruitment center.

Here is the entire statement:

“I am deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence against two brave young soldiers who were doing their part to strengthen our armed forces and keep our country safe. I would like to wish Quinton Ezeagwula a speedy recovery, and to offer my condolences and prayers to William Long’s family as they mourn the loss of their son.”

“Senseless?” It made perfectly good sense to a vengeful Muslim convert jihadi bent on “killing as many people in the Army as he could.”

For contrast, here is Obama’s full statement on the Tiller murder, issued just hours after the shooting:

I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence.

Caleb Howe is underwhelmed:

“It’s in keeping with the Obama administration’s passive language, such as the euphemisms “overseas contingency operation” or “man-caused disaster” … Obama’s statement on the murder of Pvt. William A. Long is just as passive in voice and blame. He’s not outraged, he’s saddened. Not by someone who committed a “heinous act” but rather by a senseless violence. It might have been a bolt of lightning for all the pushback Obama has to share.

He waits three days and then the best he can muster is an abstract sadness at something that, judging by his statement, might well have been a mere accident of fate…

***

Blood pressure alert from Doug Ross: Did White House order FBI to “back off” anti-terror investigations of radicalized Muslim converts?

***

Pvt. Long’s funeral is set for Monday:

Funeral arrangements have been set for an Army private fatally shot outside a Little Rock recruiting office.

Griffin Leggett Funeral Home in Conway says the family of Pvt. William Long will hold a public funeral at 10 a.m. Monday at the Harlan Park Baptist Church in Conway. The funeral home says Long will be buried at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock at noon Monday.

Well, at least our enemies know that Obama will be saddened the next time there is a premeditated attack by terrorists against Americans. Where is the video of Obama giving this statement? I don’t even believe he said it. Somebody wrote it in response to the public outcry. He was probably even disgusted that some words had to be put together.

This guy continues to push against the levy of the Constitution, which was constructed by The Framers to hold back the evil of the greed and narcissism of the government of those such as him who see the Constitution as a constraint. If nobody will push back to uphold the Constitution then why not continue to push until the levy breaks and the floodwaters are too forceful to stand against?

I was channel surfing and came upon Maddow’s show and I give props where they are due. She gave a good background on the shooter of the Army recruiters, stated that he (the shooter) was being investigated and under surveillance by the FBI and asked some very good questions. She was not accusatory and opined how did this guy have the huge arsenal at his disposal if he was being watched by the FBI joint task terrorism force. That is a good question.

The subject was after a piece on the Tiller murder where she asked why the FBI was not doing enough to investigate the killer after they were informed that Tiller was in a sense being stalked by him. Another good question. I know she is an opinion person, but she seems to do a good job when she is not being partisan. Of course after those segments it was back to partisan shots (I expect that, she is an opinion person), but I had to change the channel.

Since I never received a response to my question asking if it was White House policy that a slain late-term abortion provider was more important than the murder of a young American soldier and wounding of another, I just left this message on the http://www.whitehouse.gov/CONTACT/ page for the President:

I am completely underwhelmed by the President’s statement concerning the murder of Private William Long and wounding of Private Quinton Ezeagwula by Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammed, a Muslim convert formerly known as Carlos Bledsoe, in Little Rock, Arkansas. While the President was “shocked and outraged” by the murder of Doctor Tiller in Wichita and characterized it as a “heinous act of violence,” the best he could do for two young soldiers was that he was “deeply saddened” by “senseless violence.” I have news for the President: Unlike the murder of Doctor Tiller, the attack on Privates Long and Ezeagwula made perfect sense to their attacker whose chosen middle name means “holy warrior” in Arabic. They were American soldiers, hated because they were soldiers, Americans, and free men. He considered them his enemies, the enemies of his “religion of peace,” as he considers all of us who refuse to accept Islam as our religion or dhimmitude subservience to Muslims.

The President’s lukewarm expression of condolence to Private William Long’s family and concern to Private Quinton Ezeagwula and his family do not impress me as credible due to the delay before he made it. Within hours of Doctor Tiller’s death, the President made his statement of outrage, and the Attorney General ordered the US Marshal’s Service into action. Within days after the murder of a young American soldier and the wounding of another, the President is “saddened,” and the Attorney General does exactly nothing.

As a retired soldier, I respect the office of the President of the United States, but I am having great difficulty in respecting the person of Barack Obama, right now.

Not likely that it will get much attention. And if it does, it will be fake praise. Obama could not care less about the men and women that paid for our freedom with their blood. All he cares about is whether we appear to be sorry enough for any time we’ve defended ourselves, or defended another nations citizens from murderous aggression.

Doubtful, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Independence Day does not get renamed Firecracker Day or Collectivist Day.

Obama dissed the National Day of Prayer, but reminded us to celebrate Gay Pride month.

Oh, I expect the MSM to follow the familiar meme. WWII was the last American “good war”, fought by “The Greatest Generation”. It is mystified as a “pure war”, in which there were no bad things. Americans didn’t torture (BS), spy on citizens (no, they were rounded up and interned), bla, bla, and bla.

It and they will get a mention, if only as a set-piece against which to contrast the terrible crimes of Bush.

Not a vet from then – just a bit too young – but I clearly remember Hanoi Jane, the moratorium, SDS and The Weathermen, Viet Vets Against The War, the shameful way the returning vets and the military in general were treated, the closing of ROTCs, etc.

    Yup.

But a lot of the people that voted for this guy actually want what he in the process of doing. Put all the pieces together….

    -missile defense going away
-take over of the financial industry
-take over of the automobile industry
-take over or control of the health care and pharmaceutical industries
-ignoring laws the govern contracts, bankruptcy and other aspects of business
    -unbelievably massive debt
-control of the media.. “in the name of fairness”
-transfer of wealth to those that earn it to those that do not.
-massive entitlements funded by tax payers
-stone walling on the protection of the voting system and outright support for organizations that thwart the laws governing our voting systems.

and the list goes on. I’m sure others can add to it.

stand back…. and what do you see?

This guy and his cadre have a plan. And they are well on their way to executing it to it’s conclusion.

An Open Letter To Barry Soetoro:

I am a citizen of the United States of America, natural born, and proud to call myself an American.

Today I write to you to convey simple, clear, and direct thoughts to you on the day you’ve chosen to cower before all of Islam.

You are the elected civilian commander-in-chief of the greatest military ever to put its boots on the ground. Yet you choose to shame its legacy and, by default, every fruit earned with blood and treasure in our Name.

It is clear to me that your own shame is the reason for the season of your discontent toward our military, a dedicated body of our own citizens devoted to duty, honor, and our Nation– the defense of which knows no bounds.

You have never served anybody but yourself. Our military is the essence of service to others, no matter the human flaws it may demonstrate, suffer, or perpetuate: I for one am in awe of our men and women under arms and the service they have performed since our founding over 200 years ago.

Without our military doing what it had to do in the past century, your precious Indonesia and your temporary home in Hawaii would have been dominated by the brutal feudal traditions of Japan.

You have not a sense of gratitude for how different your own life would have been without Leathernecks, Airmen, Navy men and women, and Army sacrifices.

You have never served anybody but yourself.

And this is a source of shame for any human being, whether it is acknowledged inside themselves or not. You know the truth. You look at abundant military presence in Washington D.C. and you know you cannot do justice to the salutes coming your way.

You see the polished brass, the executive skills developing daily among military staff and liaison officers, the poise and precision of any member of the Joint Chiefs— a lifetime of dedication to the Flag and the blood patriots past, a willingness to endure anything served to them by a vast chain of command from whence they rose by paying costly dues— you see this tradition and you know you don’t measure up, cannot hold a candle to, and dont even know how to polish your own shoes as these warriors can do in their sleep.

You have never served anybody but yourself.

And now, you have an opportunity to be selfless as commander-in-chief of the once standing young soldier felled by a follower of Islam, by a vindictive, pre-meditated bullet round.

You have failed him, his family, and our Country as you preen and prance before your false idol of Islam. Your actions curse our Nation with your shame. A lost little boy in a very big chair, an immature college kid who cut a deal to run the big show. An impostor who has abdicated his responsibilities to respond with the full martial resource at his disposal against the perverse distortion of a religion into a metastizing political cancer called Islam.

The Commander-in-Chief of the United States of America is obligated to send a stark and searing message to Islam today: Do Not Tread on Me.

A real Commander-In-Chief would have the Somali coast lit up and left in ruins in response to the trafficking in terrorist training that led to this pre-meditated act of war on US soil. A real Commander-in-Chief would initiate drone attacks over Yemen to once and for all kill the trainers who hide in mosques, without one solitary consideration about what world opinion or the rancid snake pit UN would say in response.

A real Commander-in-Chief orders the death of our enemies when we are attacked. Your predecessor whom you chide was a real Commander-in-Chief at great personal cost. Lincoln was a real Commander-In-Chief at great personal cost far beyond your foolish and juvenile standing, making even the ultimate sacrifice for his country.

Your shame will keep you from doing nothing but groveling in a suit before the Lords of Islam. You never left Islam. You practice Islam in your deceitful ways.

You disgrace life by embracing your precious Islam, Barry Soetoro. You disgrace the present day aspirations of our Nation to continue influencing the course of the world in the way that we were meant to.

But a disgrace can only disgrace. Carry on, Mr. President. In the end, and your Presidency will end, you will have to look your commanders in the eyes and beg them— and you will beg because you do not realize they live to serve this Nation— to save your sorry ass.

It was once said by one of Rome’s greatest generals: “What we do in Life, echoes in eternity.”

Now, have your DHS Poster Child put me on the list.
