If you have not already, go out today and get Mark Levin’s great book, Liberty and Tyranny.
I’m reading it now, and it’s all about what most of us know in our hearts, but he lays it out point by point, so you can carry the true intent of our Founders and spread the word.
He also lays out point for point the true agenda of our statist political overlords, cutting through the spin and propaganda. It’s terrific.
Every elected Republican should be duct-taped to a chair and force fed this book until they WAKE THE HELL UP and GET WITH THE PROGRAM!

I guess in the Navy you have to be careful to specify what you are going to salute with. An ambiguous order on certain decks could have terrible consequences down range.
my niece’s husband is a marine serving his 3rd tour in iraq. everytime he deploys, my heart goes out to all the loved ones left behind to wait and worry. having been deployed to combat, the soldier feels anxious and excited, but the wives and children just feel lonely and worried and sad. best of luck sonofdy, and come home to your family safe and sound.
Best of luck sonofdy. Remember that skill knowledge and training are all good, but sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.
Also remember that no plan survives first contact with the enemy.
Trust your gut. If you are a leader, remember you are who they look up to for the right thing. And don’t forget to train those LTs.

Notwithstanding the callers personal pain. Going into Iraq was, is, and remains a war of choice.
And, I am still waiting for the actual words, “mea culpa”, “I am sorry”, “I apologize” for ________ , that have come from Pres Obama’s mouth. If you have the words, or any of those phrases on tape, please post them? Otherwise, stop deluding yourselves and accept that he has stated facts, or his opinion, and not apologized.
If we are to take Pres Obama to task, it must be done honestly and without spin. When the truth of his words are mischaracterized it only diminishes us, and allows the left, and those in the middle, to call out our misrepresentations.
Pres Obama has pointed out what he believes our flaws to be, and yes he has rarely pointed out what is great about us, but he has not apologized.

I’m deploying fairly soon as well. My goal: win this war in spite of the man (not to mention, Congress, the SOTUS, etc.) Part of me is glad that Obama isn’t focusing on Iraq: at least now we won’t have the limelight of the media focused on us. Now we can get our jobs done without their constant anti-American slant on everything.
