DOJ issues statement “to protect American Muslims;” silent on protecting Americans from jihadists
You will be fascinated — among other reactions — by the latest statement issued by the Obama DOJ, issued yesterday after the president’s Cairo speech.
No, it’s not a statement condemning the jihadist in Arkansas who targeted our troops or the Bronx jihadi plotters who targeted Jews, infidels, and our troops.
It’s a statement “to protect American Muslims.”

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder released the following statement relating to President Obama’s historic speech today in Cairo, Egypt:
“The President’s pledge for a new beginning between the United States and the Muslim community takes root here in the Justice Department where we are committed to using criminal and civil rights laws to protect Muslim Americans. A top priority of this Justice Department is a return to robust civil rights enforcement and outreach in defending religious freedoms and other fundamental rights of all of our fellow citizens in the workplace, in the housing market, in our schools and in the voting booth.
“There are those who will continue to want to divide by fear – to pit our national security against our civil liberties – but that is a false choice. We have a solemn responsibility to protect our people while we also protect our principles.”

The FBI confirmed Wednesday it was investigating the possibility an Atlanta Jewish site was among other planned targets of a Muslim convert accused of killing a soldier outside a Conway, Ark., recruiting center this week.
Stephen Emmett, spokesman for the Atlanta FBI office, said the investigation into the shooting turned up evidence to suggest Abdulhakim Muhammad, 23, of Little Rock, had plans for a “Jewish entity” in Atlanta. The Associated Press reported memos from the investigation showed Little Rock, as well as New York, Philadelphia, Louisville, Ky., and Memphis, were also on his list.
Emmett declined to say what specific site in Atlanta might have been in Muhammad’s plans, but “precautions were taken [in Atlanta] because of the serious nature of the Little Rock” shooting.
And this: “The man accused of fatally shooting a soldier outside a recruiting center begged for FBI agents to free him from a Yemeni jail where he was ‘radicalized’ by Islamic terrorists, his lawyer told The Associated Press on Thursday. Lawyer Jim Hensley described Abdulhakim Muhammad as an impressionable youth driven to public service in an impoverished Middle Eastern country. But teachings by ‘hardened’ terrorists in Yemen and experiences with Afghan child refugees who were missing limbs drove him to become someone his parents didn’t recognize, Hensley said.”

A good friend recently told me the world is “upside down” 100% accurate, and it’s getting difficult to walk on my hands.
I am looking at this statement and I just cannot believe what I am seeing. After the Arkansas incident, I just cannot believe it.

The idea that America is in any way a Muslim nation is offensive. It’s obscene. The tenets of Islam are absolutely incompatable with our traditons of freedom and equality under the law. Even as diplomatic boilerplate, as a kind of “ich bin ein Berliner” statement, it’s enough to make my skin crawl.

I would like to see the following:
1) A list of examples from the DOJ of actual things that have occurred to Muslims in the U.S. in 2002.
2) A comparison of violent acts against Muslims in the U.S. compared to the the number of acts of Muslim to Muslim violence and Muslim to non-Muslim violence in the U.S. since Sepember 11, 2001.
Because there aren’t any. Muslims are overwhelming the perpetrators of bias crimes, not the victims of them.

I hate to say this, but it would now no longer surprise me, to find the new DOJ meddling in otherwise clearcut self-defense cases, because the perp was not white, or the defender was a prominent conservative.
In the eyes of the multiculturalist (eg. Holder & co.), only those that have an associated subgroup identity are ‘worthy’ of protection. If you don’t have any ’special’ identity you simply don’t count or aren’t worthy of protection.
In other words, the multiculturalist believes that all Americans (ie. US Citizens) are equal, but some Americans need to be more equal than others.

This administration really scares me. Not only are they fascists (real fascists by definition not just called that in a leftist knee-jerk reaction like the left did to Bush for 8 years) but they are almost all northern and northeastern urbanites who have not a clue as to the thoughts, feelings, concepts or perspectives of about half the country who live in rural areas or in “fly over” country. I am truly concerned that they will do something stupid to incite an incident that will make Waco look like far less dramatic than Ruby Ridge in comparison. And if that happens in this environment it could be the spark on the powder keg and become an irreversible, life changing event for every American for generations.
He and his administration are just that incompetent and tone deaf. They just keep pushing and pushing and separating and dividing. I have heard more racist comments relating to Obama, his administration or those he is turning into protected classes (eg hispanic illegals and muslims) than I have heard in total probably in my entire life (aside from that in rap music I was unwillingly subjected to in college). A truly divisive man and administration.
Well, obviously a large segment of Americans continue to vehemently exercise their 2nd amendment right which is a fundamental right (along with the companion right to self-defense) according to our founding fathers. And many of us, especially conservatives, believe that all men and women were created equal and the sooner we get on about making our laws reflect that with no more privilege for anyone nor protected classes, the sooner we can get on with focusing on being Americans instead of the hyphenated Americans the dems strangely prefer.

FBI and the DOJ are two completely different entities. The FBI is invistgating an actual threat. The DOJ is issuing blanket statments that there are threats against muslims and they need to have extra protection for all.

Actually yes, there is. In the same way the government should not be putting out some kind of directive to protect Methodist, or fat people, or tall people, or deaf people. When the government moves to protecting Muslims, they are violating the separation of church and state. The federal government’s job is not to protect a particular religious group. Its job is to protect Americans.
Given the facts of the matter, seems to me we non-Muslims are the ones who need protection.
How about the rights of the 3000 that died on 9-11 while they were at their “workplace”?

Stifle any criticism. Consider criticism a threat. Consider anxiety a threat. Incite more anxiety by releasing statements about people’s anxiety. Blanket accusations do not have a calming effect on those concerned. If your solemn duty is to protect the people, how do you allay their concerns? Not by issuing statements that are accusations toward a broad spectrum of citizens worried about not only national security but about their own civil liberties. Talk about dividing by fear.
And is Mujahid’s lawyer trying to say that terrorists scared Mujahid so much that he became one himself? That line of direction will prove to be effective if today’s DOJ statement stays consistent.
Andrew Sullivan now says he’s guilty of not giving equal attention to the two murders. Just FYI.
This comment from Obama, yesterday, in his Cairo Speech caught my attention:
Remember, this comes from the same man who fostered negative stereotypes about Christian America when he said, “…they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them…”
But when it comes to Islam, it’s his job as President to “fight against negative stereotypes.”
It makes me wonder if Obama considers any act of Islamic terrorism something that should be downplayed or even ignored because it promotes “negative stereotypes of Islam.” Could that be why it took him so long to even mention the fatal shooting of a soldier by a Muslim jihadist?
As Commander and Chief of our Armed Forces, the President has a greater responsibility to support the soldiers serving under him than he does to “fighting against negative stereotypes of Islam” or any other religion for that matter. If any other President had said these words about any other religion, wouldn’t the ACLU have condemned it as a violation of the separation of church and state?
I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I am beginning to wonder if this lying sack of sh*t who claims to be our president really is the Muslim Manchurian candidate. Every day something else comes out which just seems so ludicrous that it could not possibly be true, and yet it is. What’s next? Michelle and the girls wearing hijabs? Shariah law? What the hell is going on here?
They are among those that believe they are ENTITLED to even more.

I told my husband last night, there are really no words anymore that describe what Obama is doing!! Outrageous, horrendous, etc, doesn’t even come close to describing this..
AND, my Mom and I were talking yesterday, Obama is NOT passing the smell test, I think that there is something sinister going on(maybe Soros and his ilk?)
