Introducing the Royal Captain of Calorie Consumption
Crikey. I was kidding yesterday when I joked about a food intake czar in the wake of Obama’s “Special Master of Compensation” appointment.
Now, it has come to pass. Introducing the Royal Captain of Calorie Consumption, via Politico:
President Barack Obama eats his vegetables and exercises every day — and he really wants you to do the same.
From the White House garden to his picks for top health jobs, Obama is telling America’s McDonald’s-loving, couch-dwelling, doctor-phobic populace that things are about to change.
Don’t be fooled by the presidential burger runs. Obama and Congress are moving across several fronts to give government a central role in making America healthier — raising expectations among public health experts of a new era of activism unlike any before.
Any health care reform plan that Obama signs is almost certain to call for nutrition counseling, obesity screenings and wellness programs at workplaces and community centers. He wants more time in the school day for physical fitness, more nutritious school lunches and more bike paths, walking paths and grocery stores in underserved areas.
The president is filling top posts at Health and Human Services with officials who, in their previous jobs, outlawed trans fats, banned public smoking or required restaurants to provide a calorie count with that slice of banana cream pie.
Even Congress is getting into the act, giving serious consideration to taxing sugary drinks and alcohol to help pay for the overhaul.
Dijon mustard will be mandatory.
Afterwards: Meditation.
Obama is great. Obama is good.
Let us thank him for our food…

Exactly!! State’s rights and state’s sovereignty come first. Big government is so out of control, they think they have the say over every aspect of our lives…and screw what the individual states say. I just got back from a loooong meeting, and was getting caught up, when I
started to wonder where everybody else went!
I take some pride in NOT being an alarmist.
I generally snort at conspiracy theory…from any quarter.
But I have had a growing realization, which I admit to resisting, that THE ONE truly is taking on dictatorial power, and that is his intent.
That may seem like a “duh” moment, but I would like to have been shown wrong.
Every day shows that conclusion is correct.
Now, I have to decide how to deal with that reality, as do each of us who come to that conclusion.
Correct.
And, we have to be attuned to what is going on, and not be lulled by the somewhat gradual, salami-slice nature of what is, for all intents and purposes, the culmination of the socialists’ decades- and decades-long coup attempt.
I completely agree. Someone as narcissistic as Obama will not give up such power easily. And it’s clear he’s redefining the role of government to do whatever he wants it to do.
I am of the mind that if, in 2010 or 2012 the Republicans win – be it Congress or the White House – there will be some sort of “crisis” and Obama will effectively, permanently, delay the installation of the new Congress or the new president until that “crisis” is over.
One thing that Patton understood, and I think is behind the actions of BIG BRO in this fateful juncture, if you have the momentum of battle, you press forward and never let resistance solidify.
They are rolling America as we knew it up like an old carpet, and we have seen no effective resistance at all.

Because, for all the outrageous things, we haven’t quite reached the tipping point yet.
But there’s a reason sales of guns and ammo went through the roof at the end of 08 and through the beginning of this year. Resistance will come because Obama keeps pushing us to that tipping point.
Obama may have been a Muslim until the age of seven, attending the mosque in Indonesia with his step-father, and learning the basic Arabic greetings and the muezzin’s call to prayer, which he can repeat in perfect Arabic, but I believe he is an atheist. Most Marxists are.
Sure, he identifies somewhat with the Musselmen, but I doubt he is one anymore.
My own read is that he is a true apostle of Alinsky, which means he has no real affinity for any religion but will feign one any time it can be useful to consolidate power.
Power is the alpha and omega for THE ONE.
The problem is that, it does not matter what we think.
What matters it what the Umma, and the Sharia-loving, murderous, barbaric loonies that make up an unknown percentage of it, and the most influential and dangerous part of it, think.
And I didn’t think eating at McDonald’s could be more tasty than it already was. I’m actually glad I got my lunch there today.

Meg Ellefson is her name and she organized the Tax Day Tea Party here in town on her own. She wasn’t expecting more than 150 or so people and on tax day, estimates were closer to 1500 people. As for food, I already make my own junk food because it’s too expensive. And my gormet dark chocolate candy bars are far better than what you can get in the store. And we don’t go out, even for fast food, because we can’t afford it. Pasta and potatoes are our mainstays.

Well, there certainly is something fishy about this entire administration.
Obama’s passing off a forged document, (which has a lot in common with “Haye I.B Ahphorgerie“), certainly was a whale of a fish story.
And both the Associated Press and politically-connected-to-Obama Annenberg Political “Fact Check” lied on porpoise.
Then, members of Congress were afraid to question his credentials (could they not have at least requested Obama go through e-Verify?) because they were afraid of being fish-slapped.

Bike paths huh? About 10 years ago, one of our main roads was widened and improved and a bike lane installed. I travel this road just about every day, and I have never seen even one bike in the bike lane. Phooey on Bama. If he quits smoking I might consider losing weight. Until then, MYOB.
