Why they hate us

By Michelle Malkin  •  June 11, 2009 11:42 AM

Don Surber looks at the liberal hatred of conservative women in the public sphere:

Too many American liberals cannot handle a strong, good-looking, intelligent, independent woman who disagrees with them — and so they make the crude, cruel and sexist remarks — including those about raping them or their 14-year-old daughters…

…So-called feminists stand on the sidelines like so many Silda Spitzers or Elizabeth Edwardses or Hillary Clintons, standing by their menfolk while the boys treat women like dirt. Heck, Mrs. Edwards even served as her husband’s attack dog against any critic — even as she knew he was sleeping with his mistress of many years…

You don’t have to answer it. In fact, don’t, it will just lead to another abortion debate.

I don’t think I have the energy for that tonight. Perhaps some other time. :)

Speaking of which, how are you and your wife holding up? Are you two getting any sleep? Is your little one doing well?

Thanks for asking. Not much sleep, but doing OK. My wife does most of the taking care of the little one (since I can’t breastfeed) and I do the taking care of her.

It was a C-section but she’s doing great regardless!

I have to run now though. Need to help out with junior. BBL!

Glad to hear all are doing well. Take good care of your wife, she will need it.

Brings back fond, not-too-distant memories. Enjoy, and goodnight. :)

granite, it is my considered opinion that zeroangel is a pedantic bore.

Indeed, and the irony is that he has no erudition. His pedantry has no content.

So why are many conservatives seeingly always dumping on Leftist Hollywood Starlets for their political views? Aren’t they (with a few exceptions) also strong, good-looking, intelligent (in terms of college educated, to a large extent) and independent?

Isn’t that like the pot calling the kettle black?

Nope. We don’t fantasize about raping them, or attack their children. We criticize them for their hypocrisy and idiocy. Big difference.

And most do not have a college education, no less a high school one.

    Now go brush your teeth.

I know I am coming in to this late but I saw the conversation about the correct use of “Y’all”.

For the record – Y’all is a contraction of You all and therefore a pronoun. It’s use is always plural.

In other words, when giving directions to a group of two or more people, it is always acceptable to say, “Y’all come over here and sit down.” However, if you are talking to only one person, it is incorrect to use “Y’all”. The correct Southern would be to drop the pronoun all together and say, “Come over here and sit down.” Using “Y’all” in a singular situation puts a big fat “Yankee” sign on your head.

Kind of like putting ketchup on grits.

There is nothing wrong with being a Yankee. However, just ’cause you have seen someone on TV say it that way doesn’t make it right.

While ranting and, since the thread is dead, let me add that there are two kinds of Yankees: Yankees and Da**ed Yankees. Yankees simply visit the South. Da**ed Yankees move there and will not go home.

And then proceed to tell us about how much better everything was up north.
