I think he’s close, but he’s missing the notion that liberals think they own women, and that’s the impetus for their hatred of conservative women who dare wander away from their benevolent masters.
My husband, father, and most of my male friends are conservative. One of my friends, whom I love dearly, is a liberal – and he’s the only man who’s ever said disparaging things about my political views and beliefs. My more liberal female friends and acquaintances are also the ones who accused my husband of “brainwashing” me when I became conservative and converted to Catholicism.
So I don’t think this is a coincidence.

So many conservative women have a force behind them and within them that a liberal would never understand, nor could they know. Most conservative women know right from wrong (something that liberal folk lack the capability of discerning) and are immoveable in their beliefs.
The so called feminists are silent, again. Where is the outrage? What else could we expect, afterall, this is the child of a conservative family. It’s all about obtaining power, fame, money, etc. Doesn’t matter who or what they walk all over to get there. No active conscience, no sense of wrong, complete lack of integrity. What they gain now will be their only reward.
I wonder if Alex Rodriguez is happy with David Letterman for suggesting that Alex is not above raping 14 year old girls. Even though it would be statutory rape, I doubt if he’s happy about Letterman dirtying up his name like that. What does that say about how Letterman is stereotyping the Mexican people like this?

There is a certain parallel between the liberal hatred of Conservative women and Black Conservatives and the hatred the radical Muslims have for the West. Mainly it’s about control, and without that control there is a very big threat to both the liberal and radical Muslim worldview. Radical Muslims and Liberals cannot handle different ideas and consequently both lash out, liberals with invective and radical Muslims with force.
Well, let me see if I can possibly view this through a (obviously distorted) liberal lens. “But, if their philandering should produce an unintended pregnancy, my strong liberal sister can exercise her reproductive rights and terminate it without guilt.”
No, that doesn’t make much sense to me either, but it did make my brain hurt.
Feminism is dead. Liberals are living in the 19th century. They are trying to bring us down, as they cope with life in the 21st century. They will lose.
On a more related note I have some theories about the vitriol the left directs at Sarah Palin. Mostly, I chalk it up to Envy, Guilt, and General Hatred Toward All Things Good and Decent. Some of it applies to the vitriol against MM, too.
The entire left will never overcome the jealous hatred of a woman who is: content in her femininity, intelligent, attractive, sensuous, faithful and conservative.
They simply cannot believe that a woman can be all of those things & be successful.
Certainly the so-called feminists are trying to bring all women down.

I’ve always found it strange that the liberals, who consider Sarah Palin as someone who is inexperienced, inept, and totally inconsequential and to be totally ignored, spend so much time degrading and condeming her.
Methinks they dost protest too much. In other words, they are deathly afraid of her politically. All the more reason for conservatives to rally around her and defend her against these lowlife, vicious attacks. They aren’t only attacking Sarah Palin, they are attacking something that threatens them and their shallow existence – down home conservatism that is prevalent in fly over country.
It all boils down to eliminating the opposition the Alinsky way.

And, surprisingly, they are more upset and vocal about Letterman’s remarks than most conservative sites. Good on them! They somehow don’t get how a 50 cent comedian can justify assaulting a child and think it’s OK.
It’s already apparent that, unless Gov. Palin is caught sleeping with the Mexican National Soccer team while accepting cash for smuggling underage, drunk Chinese prostitutes into the country in association with Elliot Spitzer, she’ll be in control of the GOP by 2010…
This woman is too much of a deft operator, compared to the RINO desk-jockeys currently running the GOP. Her mannerisms, speech patterns, and thinking all resonate strongly with conservatives. By the time Obama’s reached the mid-terms, EVERYONE who voted for him (outside of the truly lib-brainwashed, under-performing masses) will be in serious buyer’s remorse and will be looking for SOMEONE with an ability to lead without sounding preachy and hypocritical.
That SOMEONE will be Sarah Palin, and liberals should be commended for helping to identify and strengthen her position now. The more they nip at her, the better she gets at handing them their asses on a plate, smiling all the while. By 2012 she’ll be ready to run for President of the US.

Willow Palin is 14 years old. Alex Rodriguez is 33 years old. In New York, sex with a girl Palin’s age is statutory rape, ergo, it’s rape. If A-Rod slept with her, he’d go to jail and have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

My 91 year old grandmother is an example. Let’s take a step back even further….
Leftist, statist, can not tolerate anyone, white, male, female, black, homosexual, anyone who has both stood on their own two feet AND endorses standing on your own two feet. Anyone who succeeds without the help of the government is hated. So if a woman succeeds by her own effort without the help of NOW or affirmative action, that woman will be despised. It is not because she is a she. It is because she is independent.
Making the hatred about Palin being a woman is understandable but it misses the idealogical source of the left’s hatred. NOW can absolutely be silent about a conservative woman being based. Makes perfect sense to me and most likely to them. They see no inconsistency with their core values.
NOW supports women that NOW as well as other women see as women AND dependent helpless victims. Its AND.
If a woman is independent, won’t go for the dependent victim thing, not only does NOW not offer any support, NOW tries to destroy them. Independent non-victim women are a threat to NOW’s existence.
The truth of that is consistent across the board with all these leftist, statist, help the victim of…., organizations and political parties.
Independent self sufficient people, men-women-white-black-brown-etc., are a threat and need to be destroyed.
The battle is between dependent vs. independent. Slave to government and victim groups vs. free and self sufficient.
From that framework you can watch it all unfold quite easily. Why do we need government run health care? Because the problem is so big and we so helpless as individuals we can’t do anything to fix it. We must accept a dependent position and turn over our freedom regarding health care to the government.
So it makes perfect sense that a leftist statist organization like NOW will never support someone like Gov. Palin.
Or the NAACP will never support Justice Thomas….
You could go on and on with examples….
These lefty attackers seem to be so insecure. Are their beliefs so fragile that an opposing opinion has to be suppressed? They have enough on their plates managing their own lives without telling others how to live. These people have no self control. They are like little children who don’t like being told what to do because it spoils their fun. Self control comes from achieving adulthood. Even if the left got everything they wanted, that would still not be enough. They would rather whine, complain and attack rather than create real solutions for any problems. It’s easy to scapegoat and blame others. The current climate created by the left today reminds me of “Lord of the Flies”. None of these people are interested in true equality; only equality for those who agree with them.

I don’t know how many of you read comic books, or how many of you are familiar with DC Comics’s misogynist screed called “Identity Crisis” which was also a subtle form of Blame America/The Victim propaganda, but when I read about this now, it makes me think of how Jean Loring, the ex-wife of the Silver Age Atom/Ray Palmer, must’ve surely been exploited by the editors of that sick book to serve as an allusion to what Don describes: in a manner of speaking, she’s an intelligent, good-looking, and independent working woman, and they turned her into a villainess for that. And after people like that are done taking out their anger on fictional characters who’ve never harmed any innocent soul in real life, they’ll go after real-life women too.
In fact, now that I think of it, this is just why Marvel’s editors wanted to throw out Mary Jane Watson-Parker as the wife of Spider-Man: because she too is the kind of lady Don speaks of.

A good example is equating criticism with hate speech.

If one can get close enough on the “moral equivalence” scale, then the are equal enough you see to make some point that sounds good.
Of course they aren’t even close but that doesn’t matter. What matters is it sounds good enough to make them equivalent.
Today’s government-run schools teach children from kindergarten on up that there is no such thing as absolute truth, and “what is right for you is not necessarily right for someone else… what you think is ‘right’ is the result of your prejudices”.
We have raised entire generations that do not have the proper fundamental moral background, so we should not be surprised that we are reaping a totalitarian government and media.

Ohhhhh, so being a public figure excuses this kind of crap.
Hatred of conservative women by liberal Cognoscenti and Glitterati has as its wellspring the fact that “feminism” today isn’t “progressive” but reactionary.
They’ve pretty much obtained all that they fought for in decades past: the franchise, abortion on demand, affirmative action preferences, Title IX destruction of men’s collegiate athletic programs, participation in armed combat, even a higher percentage of women than men attending college.
And yet they’re still a bunch of miserable Harpies, whose reasons for getting out of bed in the morning are to:
(1) Feel sorry for themselves;
(2) Feel bitter toward men;
(3) Feel paranoid that men will somehow conspire in some cigar smoke-filled room to take away all that’s been gained; and
(4) Feel hatred toward women who don’t share in their hollow anger, vicious hatred, unwarranted self-pity, pathetic bitterness, self-demeaning jealousy and pre-adolescent rage.
When you aren’t striving for opportunities anymore, the temptation is to dwell on “threats” to what you’ve already gained: you become reactionary, not visionary. And in good modern liberal fashion, being a reactionary means stifling debate instead of welcoming the opportunity to defend or advance your views, and destroying icons of heresy (i.e., women who won’t bow down to feminist orthodoxy) instead of letting them express their own sense of “diversity.”
For a modern “feminist,” nothing is more terrifying than the thought of being sent back to the kitchen, “barefoot and pregnant.” And they just know that unless any and all indicia of traditional femininity are wiped out — e.g., care for personal appearance, desire for marriage, seeing men as partners and protectors instead of oppressors, and love of children born or unborn — that the risk remains of waking up only to realize that conservatives have taken away everything from them overnight.
People can say and do ugly things, and be ugly themselves inside and out, when they’re scared. And “feminists” aren’t just scared, they’re paranoid.
So what to do with a heretic like Michelle? She takes full advantage of her feminine attractiveness; she unapologetically revels in her status as wife and mother; and she’s successful at her chosen calling without having to owe anything to feminist orthodoxy.
Debating her is out of the question.
But the false and crumbling edifice of “feminism” is so sacred to them that they’ll knowingly stand mute when Michelle is regularly subject to racist and misogynist slurs and threats of violence, and raise no objection when she’s cast into public displays of rape fantasies, because their overvalued idea of “women’s liberation” means that they can say “We had to destroy her to save feminism!” and see no irony in that at all.
If a woman holds another woman down so that a man can commit rape, she’s just as guilty of the crime as he is. That’s the disgusting state of “feminists” today: silently helping the Dave Lettermans, the Perez Hiltons and the Playboy.com hacks to savage women like Michelle who don’t “think right.”
Far from being liberators of other women, they become selective aiders and abettors of misogynists.

I’d like to see RSS’s explanation of how he knows that the women on that list would consent to “hate sex”.
As I said, he’s a prime example of how consent is quickly fading as a criteria for sexual relationships. Soon, it will be a hate crime for a conservative refuse someone’s advances because any sex is okay, even when it’s not consensual, and conservatives deserve it anyway. RSS’s continued defense of something he would not tolerate if directed at the Obama girls proves that.

Y’all is a contraction for you all. All y’all is simply redundant. The confusion comes from Hollywood writers injecting the term incorrectly in the conversations that they write.
