Every day, more and more people are waking up to what's going on politically. Even a Democratic congressman admits that Obama's TARP and Pay Czar is Socialism, and that the Democratic leadership used fear mongering and threats of Martial Law to manipulate votes in their favor.

"Now that we’re wide awake, what do we do to stop this?"

#1 - Pray.

We're awake politically, but we're not fully awake spirtually. The success of this country has always been dependent on the faith of its citizens.

In God We Trust

Pray for all of those in our government, regarless of their party.
Repent of our own sins. Ask God to heal our land.

Those who live by the sword (or gun), die by the sword (or gun). While I believe in 2nd Amendment rights and protecting your family, I do not advocate armed insurrection. The Socialists took control of our government without firing a shot. I believe we can take it back without firing a shot, as long as they don't declare Martial Law.

And yes, this will make you chuckle:

Grandiose titles are part of a tradition to stimulate public support in a nation where the media is tightly controlled and little information about the inner workings of the government is available. The leader is given credit for most national projects. The state media carry endless flattering reports about Kim, repeatedly referring to him with his various titles of which “Dear Leader” is the most prominent.

Chuckle? I think not. Read that again with, say, the NYT in mind, with just a couple of corrected "typos":

Not to take sides, Chaps, but it’s allover the Net, on sites like Adage.com and the WSJ, using any search engine you desire.

I have found plenty of articles saying GM has slashed the budget by 800 million in February. I have not found any that said Obama's admin made the decision.

An underscore is not necessary. Evidence of your claim is what I am asking for.

I didn’t say that, but clearly spending however much they were on marketing wasn’t getting it done. Maybe they decided they should spend a bit more cash on developing a product people want rather than marketing ones people don’t want. Speculation? Perhaps.
I disagree. The ads worked to create desire for GM vehicles but their high prices - related solely to UAW benefits - prevented demand.
But no less so than your speculation that GM is cutting its NASCAR program out of mere spite.
GM may not have but can the same be said of Democrat controlled Gov Motors?

ITookTheRedPill, we are all scared...except chapped, et al, but the problem we're having is what do we do? There are 912 groups all over the country, with reading lists that include The Forgotten Man, and Liberal Facists, and most of us belong to a TEA Party group, but my question to you is: Now that we're wide awake, what do we do to stop this? For now...at least until 2010, there's not much we can do. If y'all are like me, I have my senators and congressman on speed dial, but since they are all Republicans, they nearly as powerless as I am. Is armed insurrection an option? Not for much longer if they keep getting their way. Now what?
