from my understanding, the US Army has begun a "temporary, immediate" shutdown. All hiring is frozen, there will be no reenlistments allowed, no recruiting whatsoever, and anyone who is due to reup will not be allowed to do so and will be immediately discharged. This, for some reason, has not yet hit the media. Happy Birthday, indeed.

On June 14th, 2009 at 11:01 pm, Bruce said:

No matter what the Republicans do, the Democrats will *always* hate them and blame them for all the disastrous Democrat policies.

Someone needs to tell the Democrats and the Obama regime to shove it!

I’m sick of the Republicans whimpering in the dark corners of Washington, hoping that they get to change a couple crumbs of the Democrat agenda.

Why don’t the Republicans come up with their own agenda? Why do they always let the Democrats set the standards?

Why won’t Republicans set about to expose the danger of the Democrat policies every time their disgusting faces get on TV? Why won’t Republicans attempt to enforce the Constitution of the United States of America? Why won’t they fight against the imposition of socialism upon our nation? WHY WON’T THE REPUBLICANS DO WHAT’S RIGHT?

Our country is toast. Conservatives have no voice. There is absolutely no opposition to the devastation the Obama regime has designed for us. There is no one to fight.

Why? Zero leadership. Those that could lead, are not wanted in the party. Those that are in the party are too willing to just get along than lead.

...and they will be the same d@mn fools who wonder why they lose another election.

Below is a link to a story that is far more important than old news about Sarah Palin. She is one of the best we have, but we already knew that. This guy is a true American hero and gave it all, for us. He was on the ground, in the middle of all the uh, stuff, and fought to the end.
God bless Sgt. 1st Class Lincoln Clifford May, U. S. Army.

Men in rags, men who froze,
Still that Army met its foes,
And the Army went rolling along.
Faith in God, then we're right,
And we'll fight with all our might,
As the Army keeps rolling along.

Talk amongst yourselves!
(I misread that the first time and spent the afternoon talking to myself.)

Is there no one who cares what is happening to the ultraconservative Swartzentruber Amish sect? Their religious freedoms are being taken away at this very moment and no one has even noticed.

Andy Swartzentruber just spent 90 days in jail and Sam Yoder may be next. The Millers and Swartzentrubers are now homeless because the government has put padlocks on their homes and barns. All this over the refusal of the Amish to modernize their outhouses. Could their be anything more symbolic of religious freedom than that?

Bring your pitchforks and torches (no modern stuff like six shooters or flashlights) and come standup for the Amish. If we don't come to the aid of the Amish now, who will WE turn to when they come for us?

Just caught this on Drudge: Leon Panetta quote criticizing Dick Cheney

"It's almost, a little bit, gallows politics. When you read behind it, it's almost as if he's wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point."

This is the director of the CIA talking. Outrageous. Could the Republicans please stop pretending that if they make nice, the Dems will reciprocate? The Republicans are not the party of "no" but the party of "no show". Who needs them.

PS - Flying the National Ensign and Dimmitts flags today.

My Ensign has been flown on every vessel I have sailed upon since 1972. It may go up and come right down on warships, but it is my treasure; my piece of history and America that goes everywhere I go.
