Nutroots arithmetic

Ready for some unhinged liberal math equations?

Karl Rove = Ahmadinejad.

George W. Bush = Ahmadinejad.

And, of course:

Rove x Bush = Fox News + Tea Parties + Talk Radio + Right-wing blogosphere = Ahmadinejad (squared).

Read each linked article and that was not my take away. Yeah, the title of the CBS article is tacky, though the body of the article does not mention Pres Bush. Think it might have been a cheap attention grabber.

Sullivan’s article is a bit more subtle and speaks to comparing bags of tricks and parallels. Fairly sure that saying Pres Bush, Karl Rove, and Ahmanedijad have the same golf swing, or they all wear boxers, does not rise to the level that they are somehow equal.

Saying politicians use similar tactics does not make those politicians equal. If the tactics are effective and gets results, it makes those politicians smart.

Which part is similar, the beating woman or the execution of homosexuals? Oh I know, it’s the banning of western dress and music, right? Bush and Rove totally did those things.

In fact, liberal math goes something like this: 2+2= 6 2/3. Then, when you try to correct them, then you’re a RacistFacistNaziHomophobeNeocon.

Rags, the point you are implying is an excellent one.

In matters relating to foreign policy past Presidents have referenced earlier Presidents statements to provide added emphasis and contnuity to their remarks. Presient’s Clinton and Bush made good and effective use of this. For example, President Clintons remarks about Iraq in 1998 were correct and Bush referenced them.

Obama, being an immature idiot, has been so busy vilifying everything Bush did the last eight years he cannot use any of the good things that Bush said or did to advance HIS foreign policy. In that regard he has painted himself into a box.

Partisanship demands that you cannot say anyting good about your political opponents, even if you agree with them. Party over Country strikes again! It is a poison that is going to kill a lot of Americans.

after the 2008 election i find it stunning to hear any liberal dare mention vote fraud/stolen elections and bush in the same breath. the 2008 american election and the chavez/achmadinejad elections have more in common than the 2000 election. bush won florida, not once, but twice. then a bunch of party hacks and lawyer whores want to reinvent some rules so they can win, and the supreme court says you can’t do that and liberals cry for the next 8 years that somehow they really won, and the supreme court installed bush. at least you whiners should not lie to yourselves. gore lost because gore is a moron who couldn’t even win his own state, ala mccain.

I was in the Comcast office on Saturday (cancelled the service and returned hardware) and they had CNN on the big screen. The “reporter” was talking about Ahmadinejad “winning” the “election” and the text labeled Ahmadinejad as conservative.

Wouldn’t fundamentalist muslim reactionary be more accurate? Of course it would. But that doesn’t fit the agenda of the Chicken Noodle Network. They want to lie to their viewers about what conservative means.

Like Ann Coulter said, “We’ve finally given the liberals a war on fundamentalism but they don’t want to fight it. They would, but it would put them on the same side as the United States.”

I do hope they keep playing this “It’s all Bush’s Fault” card.

Just like with “global warming”, which ranks really low on the list of people’s priorities right now, most people woke up when 1) they realized temperatures were not as hot as Al Gore threatened they would be and 2) people got sick of the asinine attempts to control their lives, their homes, their choices.

People will eventually realize that Obama’s “Don’t blame me, I inherited X problem from Bush” line is a big, fat lie. DEMOCRATS are in control of Congress AND the White House. The blame for mistakes and troubles will rest squarely on their shoulders.

    1. One of the links was to a blogger. This site compares Obama to Hitler daily.

    2. The other link was doctored to look like CBS (i.e., the MSM) but in fact it was the CBS search engine finding an article on a small liberal magazine. Small conservative mags conpare Obama to Hitler every issue.

    3. The New Republic article was written before the election comparing Ahmadinejad’s campaign tactics to those of Bush. The comparison: a candidate with a bad performance record tries to pull out the election by smear and fear.

    4. Liberal math has not been that effective in campaigns. Krugman pointed out in the 2000 campaign that the Bush budget numbers didn’t add up, but nobody believed him. Well, it turned out that they didn’t add up.

How the democrat party has fallen.

Hitler was a left-wing socialist. Obama is a left-wing socialist. So what’s the problem?

lgm, maybe if you read the truth occasionally, you’d understand that marxism, leninism, hitlerism, maoism, progressivism, socialism, it’s all the same. Bad for everyone.

The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of misery.
