God bless those brave people standing up to their corrupt government. Thanks for posting on this Michelle.
This unrest has been a long time coming.
saw this on the news this morning & wondered, in sort of a reverse way, what would have happened here in the USA if Obama had lost in November?….
“Rise up to a corrupt government??” Sounds like a great idea. When are the common sense people in US going to rise up???
Cakes- I had that thought as well during the election. It would have been like the Laker fans celebration only in reverse and so much worse. You talk about looting and burning. It would have been a nightmare.
The tea parties are a start . . .
can’t wait for the hezbollah patriots to start coming to the rescue of poor old a-jad. an iranian civil war, an iraqi regime change, and afghan regime change, a pakistani civil war. life is good mr bush, thank you. now if we can just foment a china/n. korea conflict, i say we nominate g.w. bush for the nobel prize for peace.
Good for them.
There are now reports that the Supreme Leader has ordered an investigation into the election. Trying to rig a symbolic election for the regime’s court jester is plain stupidity since power at the top would not change no matter who won.
Hopefully we’ll find out on Nov 7th, 2012.
Just like the Tea Party protests, I’m sure the MSM here in the good ol’ US of A will dismiss this as nothing more than a small group of loudmouths.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
Any form of gov’t where the religous islamic fanatics control every aspect of life is what needs to be addressed.
As long as the “supreme leader” holds on to power, there will never be a “free” Iran.
Looks like the scene when BO’s birth records are finally leaked.
ACORN has an office Tehran? Who knew?
Iranian version of Grafolo.
Oh how I wish this was happening in Washington, D.C. right now.
Unfortunately, I think the MSM will call these protesters as brave fighters for fair elections newly empowered to fight for hope and change by Obama’s aploogy tour.
They are being rounded up and beaten. Mass arrests. They have cut off their means of communication…cell phone service, etc. One thing the stupid Iranian “government” didn’t think of was Twitter. The folks are communicating by Twitter and it’s working. Unfortunately, the word is out and soon that won’t be available either. I always thought Twitter was dumb, but now I’m not so sure. If we started descending on DC en mass…would this corrupt government do that to us? I would not put it past them. My trust in any government is completely gone and it is a scary feeling. God be with the Iranian people!!
aploogy = apology
dittodittodittodittodittoditto…
Agreed!
I’m waiting for a statement of support for the people of Iran from the Obama administration. I know it’ll be forthcoming any moment now.
*crickets*
It must suck for them to see Iraq have freer elections.
iran’s leader asking for an investigation into voter fraud or other improprieties, is like zero and acorn doing the same here. nothing questionable will be found. voter fraud and corruption is prevelant there as it is here.
Since the supreme leader has called for an investigation of the election I’m sure it will all be good soon./sarc
This call for an investigation is just a sham to try to quell the uprising. In the end Ahmadinejad will be declared the winner and nothing will have changed.
I pray for the Iranians participating in the uprising and support their cause. I, too, wish this was happening in Washington right now.
I read somewhere that if the people of Iran revolt against the supreme leader that most of the revolutionary guard would run away. That is what they (the leaders) are most afraid of.
Good luck anti-A-jad protesters. My prayers are with you.
It would be very hard for me to imagine any President of the U.S. NOT making a statement of support for a People who are fighting for their very lives and their freedoms! However, this president is so different from any we have had in the past, I don’t know what to expect. He SHOULD support the people of Iran. If he doesn’t, it means he supports the corrupt leaders of Iran. That would be very very very telling!!
ACORN = Civilian Security Force = Baseej
The riots are coming…
I do not have cable access right now (because I cannot afford it at the moment), so I am not getting the US state-controlled take on this. Are they telling it like it is, or are they essentially reporting what the Iranian state-controlled media tells them to report?
Obama is standing with his finger in the air, waiting to see which way the wind blows, only then will we get his position.
Obama keeps up with the insane, unconstitutional policies of his, and an uprising is exactly what he’ll see.
Bet he’s looking at Iran this morning, thinking, “Uh, oh…Gotta move quicker to impose Sharia here…”
It would seem that if the US and the UN are serious about desiring a peaceful, self-induced regime change in Iran to reduce Mid East tensions and the spread of nuclear weapons, there would be a heck of a lot more vocalized support for these Iranian citizen-student protesters.
If Iran is ever to be guided away from Mullah control and back into a peaceful place in the world community, now is the time for the US and UN to help make that happen by lending a voice.
Now THAT’s what I call a tea party.
How about this:
September 12 Taxpayer March in Washington, DC.
Be glad to meet you there Paul. Maybe we and others who post here could have a MM.com meeting on the side.
This link, takes you to the press release I received announcing the vendor managing the logistics for the 9/12 event, but the event itself is just in the planning stages so no details are readily available. They did have this posted: “Our goal is to have the website operational by: June 16, 2009.” I think the event is being co-produced by Resistnet, Grassfire and Freedomworks.

mmmm. yeah, i guess… but let’s not forget that most of them still want us all dead and Irael into the sea… shall we?
Would someone PLEASE respond to this…
Just heard on Rush Limbaugh–the pundits are all comparing their election to OURS in 2000, “so who are WE to comment on their problems.”
So I guess that answers my question…
If the mullahs run the show – by picking the candidates, there may not be much difference regardless of who the country’s figurehead is. Should the election results be overturned, I hope the protesters don’t just walk away thinking they’ve won. IMO, they will have to reduce the power of the mullahs in order to have any true change in the country. Just have to watch and see, eh?
Looters would have stolen every shoe in America…
Probably would have had the same amount of RINOs, gutless wimps and sellouts being reelected 2010.
Don’t forget that the Obamanation appointed a Cyber Security Czar, and also has the power now to turn off various internet networks for “national security” reasons.
The means to cut off the communications completely are already in place.
