ABC News should be required to register as a federal lobbyist.
On June 24, Drudge reports, the network will broadcast from inside the White House to air a propaganda special for Obamacare.
Opposing voices will reportedly be excluded. ABC News says “thoughtful” and “diverse” points of view will be allowed. In other words: Shills of all colors!

OK – I may be dreaming – but aren’t all broadcaster licensed to work for the benefit of the public good? They are by definition ‘public airways’.
What would it take to have the RNC or some well heeled Senators and Representatives to go and demand that ABC’s FCC licenses to broadcast be lifted as this kind of broadcasting is not in the public interest?
A Congressional investigation is needed here. The overt in-your-face corruption and partisanship of the “free” press is an existential threat to our democracy.
We have GOT to boycott ABC and if necessary, drive it out of business! We cannot, for the sake of this country, allow the government to coopt the news organizations. This is just the first step and it is an obvious one at that!
Contact the sponsors of ABC programming and make it clear you will not buy their goods as long as they advertise on ABC. Contact your representitives and let them know that this is unacceptable! This is worse than it looks people!
Somehow I don’t think people like “Mr. Thug Thizzle” voter in Ohio (?) or the ones questioned right after voting who had no idea who Pelosi is or who was really in control of congress, paid attention before or after pulling the lever for the person ‘everyone else’ was voting for.
I believe the snap back to the right after this debacle is going to be severe and long lasting- we just need to figure out how to survive this onslaught until Nov. 2010. Unfortunately that’s apparently going to be no mean feat.

ABC decides to do a warm-and-fuzzy on the White House and President. They’ve been doing this at least since Nixon. They did it for Bush. Republicans ask for time to rain on this sunny parade. ABC says no. Suddenly we have a state controlled press.
Bull! The major networks are constantly reporting the inane Republican positions on things, and mostly (though this is hard for reporters who actually know things) with a straight face.
Just yesterday ABC reported John McCain saying that the US has the most efficient health care system in the world. ABC reporters refrained from then reporting studies showing we have one of the least efficient systems. Republicans have no idea how much they benefit from unquestioning reporters shoveling their s**t.
No free health insurance for transplanted Jordanian Arab Muslims brought here by Soetoro in January on the taxpayers dime.
No free health insurance for Mexican nationals living illegally in the United States.
No free health insurance for able-bodied people who refuse to work.
No free health insurance to anybody on welfare.
No free health insurance to anybody who hasn’t paid into government programs. Period.
Remove the safety nets and see what happens.

Again, it’s striking that the usual, so-called “thoughtful” regular lefties on this blog have nothing to say. It is always silence, smart aleck comments, or defense.
Wondering when one of the “reasonable” will weigh in with an honest admission that this move by ABC does nothing if not give credence to conservative claims of media bias in favor of Democrats.
And the 52% of voters who voted for this idiot, along with the millions of brain dead sheeple who didn’t vote at all, will believe everything they are told by the TV once again.
The Networks often give time to a President to make important speeches like the State of the Union. I don’t believe they are required to do so. They do it because the other guy is doing it and perhaps out of the spirit of patriotism. That is what they are doing here.
One network decided they will help the cause of Nationalized Health Care which “they” support. To allow dissenting opinions would lessen the impact they want. Pure and simple. And just wrong on many levels. They could run their “60 minutes” type special on it any time they want, any way they want.
The people in charge at ABC must feel it is their duty to support political agendas instead of just fairly representing both sides of the issue. That would be too logical and not a good use of their “power base” that they have being in charge of such a powerful entity as broadcasting info to the citizens. They can control people by controlling the info.
This is what Alynsky and others were talking about. Leveraging your power to maintain control. Once in control, you can do what you want and work to attain more power and more control.
I would boycott ABC but I don’t watch it anyway.

As soon as I saw this on Drudge this morning, I hammered out a complaint to ABC through their website and in it I told them I was considering filing a complaint with the FCC. Not that any of it will do any good, but I just can’t sit by quietly and let this nation go away.

ABC’s response is exactly what I expected from them AND from elections in Iran.
Fox news is the only channel that gives both sides. That means, they gotta go. Any form of news that does not give bho, in his warp view, 100% ok has to be under the bus. MM, HA, Rush, Sarah, Hannity, the list goes on and on are targets. We American’s need to say, enough!! We don’t care how much butt we have to kiss, we want those greenbacks. If you don’t watch, we don’t care, we expect in the future for you to have much fewer choices, so you’ll end up watching us sometime.
ABC is owned by Disney. I don’t plan on chewing on it. I plan on boycotting it, their advertisers, and their products. What matters is the bottom line, and the bottom line here is that I have extreme Obama fatigue. I can’t get a break from this guy and I sure as heck don’t want him leading the charge for health care reform. He can’t get a stimulus package together for 787 billion (or whatever ginormous amount)and we are all hurting for it. Why do I want this man meddling in my health care?
