Calling her what she is

By Michelle Malkin  •  June 23, 2009 10:02 AM

The left-wingers don’t like anyone who calls Michelle Obama what she is — the First Crony. Media Matters is up in arms over my chat with America’s Morning News anchors Melanie Morgan and John McCaslin last week about the First Lady’s meddling in the AmeriCrooks scandal. Here’s what I said:

***

And as expected: No tough questions from the fawning media during Michelle Obama’s media appearances yesterday for the national service conference in San Francisco.

The Obamas launch “United We Serve”…ourselves.

Or as Laura Ingraham put it this morning: “United We Serve”…or else.

It’s silly to call her a crony, not because she doesn’t favor cronyism, but because if she does, it’s her friends who are the cronies, not her. That’s just the definition. You’ll need to find another perjorative that actually makes sense.

But speaking of cronyism, the Obama has nothing on the Bush White House that was just swarming with W’s old Texas wingmen and women. And I don’t seem to remember anyone on the right crying foul, until he tried to appoint one of them to the Supreme Court.

The President has said that the challenges America faces are unprecedented, and that we need to build a new foundation for economic growth in America. The Administration has begun this work with dramatic new investments in education, health care, and clean energy, but we cannot do this alone here in Washington. Economic recovery is as much about what you’re doing in your communities, as what we’re doing in Washington – and it’s going to take all of us, working together. Serve.gov makes it easy for you and all Americans not only to find ways to serve in your communities, but also to create and promote your own service projects.

I found that blurb from United We Serve to be absolutely one of the creepiest things I’ve ever read.

In fact, virtually all of the people who can be specifically tied to his rise — e.g., Ayers, Dohrn, Wright, Rezko — he disavows like Peter denying Jesus when they’re asked about.

Only his wife has been with him constantly throughout. Any married man will tell you that the one person in the world most influential on his attitudes, beliefs and actions is his wife. And it is this angry and bitter woman who is Hope-a-Dope’s closest confidant.

    And then they came for the Jews, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;
And then… they came for me… And by that time there was no one left to speak up.”

You seem to think it is amusing when the criminals are on your side. As a Canadian, I can’t believe that an organization like ACORN exists. They are such a blatantly partisan, criminal organization it is almost surreal to watch from the outside. Despite our political differences, you don’t strike me as a stupid person. I honestly can’t believe you can defend these thugs and look yourself in the mirror. Fascism is fascism. Don’t be surprised if one day you are on the wrong side of it.

A few years ago, Obama earmarked $1 million to his wife’s hospital-employer. Surprise: her salary went from $121,910 in 2004 to $316,962 in 2005.

    Michelle Obama
Vice President for Community and External Affairs, The University of Chicago Hospitals

    William A. Osborn
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Northern Trust Corporation

    Robert J. Zimmer
President and Trustee, The University of Chicago

Michelle Obama served on a board with:

    A) The Chairman and CEO of the company that gave her a mortgage for her Tony Rezko-assisted homestead.

    B) The President of the university that employed her and multiplied her salary by nearly 2.6 times the previous year’s salary after her husband became a U.S. Senator.

Great use of the liberal tactic of using the “Bush did it” move to excuse “the Obama”. A very popular way to attempt to deflect attention away object of scrutiny. Oh, and somehow I think you left the apostrophe s off the end of his name intentionally. You know, like someone might refer to “the Buddah”. I guess you think “the Obama” is Godlike.
