Is the world still watching?
Jim Hoft is. Here’s his latest round-up of developments today — with details and links on a reported new massacre at Baharestan Square in Tehran.

SUPREME LEADER better get this stopped now or he should be expecting a more sternly worded statement or letter issued from TEH ONE.
The Gov’t news cycle on this is over. Nothing to see here. Move along.
Hezbullah is openly active in Tehran???
I expected them to be in covert actions by open actions puts this whole thing on a new level.
And they are just announcing on Fox News that the Iranian “diplomats” are still invited to the 4th of July festivities here in the USA.
grrr…
Yeah, and this so distracting from his ABC Healthformerial today.
Yeah, me too, sonofdy.
As long as State doesn’t cancel the July 4th hot dog parties around the world for Iran…
“The tree of liberty must be refreshed, from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”
- Thomas Jefferson
Sad but true.
They should serve pork sausage.
To add my own observation to the quote above from Mr. Jefferson, it is usually the patriots who go first.
Rush suggested spreading the word that the White House will be serving Hebrew National hot dogs.
Not only will all food be halal, they’ll probably make the women wear burquas, too.
Sadly, the Commie News Network is beating Fox on coverage of the protests in Iran today.
In the meantime, Duh One went to the Dairy Queen for a chocolate sundae.
I still say that the protestors felt they’ve been abandoned by all govn’ts and they’ve nothing to lose now. The only ones showing any kind of support are the Isaelis and Germans, in and of itself a strange combination. Irony at it’s best.
Hawkeye – we need a photoshop of your rumor. Love it. For ‘Bambi’s efforts perhaps they’ll invite him to Ramadan festivities.
I pulled this from the comments section of Jim’s blog.
I wonder if more and more Iranians might begin to request regime change assistance from the U.S.
Too much caffeine – Isaelis s/b Israelis! Dang I just hate long nails and stale coffee, and brain disconnects.
Just watched the CNN report of beatings in Tehran, the woman’s voice really got to me. Her pleas to the reporter for the US to stop this massacre were heart rending and stopped the reporter in his tracks, he didn’t know what to say. Time for Obama to ask MO for his testicles back and denounce this regime and rescind the 4th July invitations and his outstretched hand of negotiations. Can anyone imagine making nice with Iranian diplomats should they happen to show up at the picnics? This is beyond bizarre, it borders on criminal neglect of the people of Iran. I am amazed at the tenacity of these protesters and their willingness to face certain beatings or death. Obama’s stance on this is akin to watching someone get mugged on the street and walking away so as not to get involved.
just when i was making headway in becoming a-jads bud, along come the damn protesters and mess up my whole speel with the pres. if i would have had one more week to speechify with my brothers in the mideast, i would have secured that elusive mideast peace and won the nobel prize just like my mentor, jimme. (the ramblings of the messiah)
As a leftist thug power politician, Obama’s interests are naturally closer to the totalitarian and anti-Western thugocracy than the young pro-democracy protestors.
Great Idea! I don’t photoshop…but somebody could run with that idea.
I understand Obama will also graciosly let the Iranians bring their own cutlery and noisemakers to make them feel more at home.
The One (aka The Waffle King) responds: “Hey! Leggo my Eggo!”
Why, who would have guessed, seeing how supportive THE ONE’s been of the protestors.
Not completely OT, and a double post…
65 Votes for Koh. I want to know who the 4 or 5 treasonous bastards are.
I expect treason from the 58 or 59 Demonrats that work in the Senate.
Exactly.
Say, to stir the pot and add a bit more spice to the discussion, might I be the first to ask why our trolls are so far silent on this thread?
Let’s see which troll posts first with indignation, in high dudgeon, and hurling personal insults….
This just in- Dear Leader is “strongly reconsidering” hot dog invite! He’s so manly and tough- I think I’m getting a tingle up my leg…
Rahm-Bo hasn’t told the mental midgets at Kos and HuffPo how to spin this Obama’s way yet.
They’ll be here as soon as they get their talking points.
The trolls are silent because they see that we right wing extremists are so far off the mark here that we can’t even grasp that it was The One’s Cairo speech that inspired the Iranian protests. We are beyond hope.
Can we organize in each rally’s in the US in support of these brave people? Obama has turned his back – voted “present” and they know it! They are still out in the street being beaten and shot! How could we start nationwide demonstrations?
This just in- Dear Leader is “strongly reconsidering” hot dog invite!
I wonder, can you support the Protesters, but not what they are protesting for, counting the ballots to elect Mousavi?
Obama went to Egypt and spoke so “eloquently”, then when people rallied and demonstrated in the face of tyranny – he stood down? This man is much more then inept – he is dangerous. I have never felt fearful and I am now. I am from Rhode Island – if anyone and would love to march in solidarity with the Iranian protesters!
Or, maybe they (like the president) think we should stay out of the internal affairs of other countries, much the same way as the Islamic Republic of Iran has stayed out of the internal affairs of Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, and Israel, via their surrogates in Hezbollah.
Every city in the country – should rally in support of the Iranians being beaten and shot. My God how brave they are! Would we in this country be so brave? It is something I had thought about well before this happened.
Washington Times.com:
Wasn’t President Reagan vilified in the MSM – the NYT, in particular – for American “interference” in other countries’ domestic dealings, as the press deemed it then, and didn’t Obama previously vow a sidelines approach to Iran’s internal affairs?
If the press wants to prove they are not in the Obama administration’s back pocket, then they should join the W. Times in investigating what role(s) the administration played in the Iranian election.
It’s the stuff transparency is made of -
I am sure the Dear Leader is disturbed today. Perhaps the Iranians could use his fly-swatting skills somehow.
The Iranian leadership took one look at The One’s press conference, turned to one another, and said, “Green light; lock and load.”
Utterly toothless.
You reap what you sow….
Now I hope the Iranian students and young people understand that when their government sends its thugs into Iraq to kill American soldiers and Marines, it is THEY (young Iranians) who will suffer.
I hope they learn from this and IF they are able to begin a democracy for Iran that they will not continue in the same format of thuggery and hatred, but will work alongside other countries who are sacrificing their young to free an oppressed people.
That is my wish for these young Iranian students: you reap what you sow.
Seems to me there is a point that intervention will appear to be the right and just thing to do. Who ever intervenes will be seen to be standing up for the good guys, the protesters, and against an evil force of suppression and oppression.
When that happens I continue to wonder exactly who will and how they will intervene.
Still wondering if Israel will be able to pull off some kind of strike if and when they will appear to be the good guys in doing so.
1. Sure you can;
2. I thought they were officially demanding a new election; and
3. I thought they have been unofficially demanding democratic reform to their government system.
Frozen custard. Teh Won would never lower himself to something as plebeian as a chocolate sundae.
hawkeye54,
Off topic, but sad day here regarding the A-P Football coach……….
Obama wanted this man to be head of national intelligence until the darned Zionist lobby defeated his appointment.
Again, Obama and those around him are more at home with anti-Western thugs and dictatorships than with pro-democracy protesters.
He is beyond scum.
ed,
He disgusts most normal peoople. However, the media types sure seem to love him…wierd huh. Adolf was a media darling as well; NYT was full of adoration.
I reckon somebody is studying the Iranian situation so when he has to deal with it here…….his brown shirt Besij will be much better prepared. He knows many United States citizens are armed, therefore he will have to be even more brutal.
Meanwhile the evil leaders outside our country know they have cart blanc to do whatever they want to without repercussions. Mr. President…..”WORDS”…remember? WORDS mean something.
World leaders know you speak words….then wink and nod with a big stupid grin.
Sad indeed. Thoughts and prayers for the coach’s family. I’m familiar with Parkersburg, about 30 miles north of my aunt’s town of Vinton in Northeast Iowa.
Who indeed?
Hope is not a plan; not all change is good. WE are the civilian national security force! If you ever wondered why our Founding Fathers included the Second Amendment in our Bill of Rights, watch the Teheran coverage. The resistance is here; the resistance is now. RESIST!!!!

One thing the liberals keep on getting wrong about the Islamist wackos is that they don’t respect mealy-mouth proclamations; they only respect muscle. Obama hasn’t learned that lesson, and the Iran protesters are about to pay the price.
Any suggestions around what you’d like Chauncey to do? Invade? Bomb?
Or do you want him to really drop the gloves and “go to the UN,” or “Talk to European Leaders?”
Please. This is a charade. Russia loves Iran; Europe loves their oil. Moreover, the one country that hates Iran, namely Israel, has found the least support from a US President since their inception.
Chauncey isn’t planning his next move; he’s taking notes and trying to figure out “how do *I* go from ‘Chosen One’ to ‘Ayatollah?’”
There are millions of us with military training (only 20 years, 22 days, in my case) who do not consider ourselves to be released from our oaths. There are hundreds of thousands in the active military who understand and honor their oaths. If civil war comes, and that is what you are postulating, the Constitution will win, in my opinion.
Hope is not a plan; not all change is good. WE are the civilian national security force! If you have any doubts as to why the Founding Fathers included the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights, watch the Teheran coverage. “Who will be our George Bush?” The resistance is here; the resistance is now. RESIST!!!!!!!!!

All right you people – cut it out! Obama has the Olympics in Chicago to Benefit Friends to worry about and all you people see are innocent people being murdered by our new best friends in the middele east?
They are fully capable and do not care whether they look like good guys. They must ponder how hostile Obama would be to them.
